What the sheriff may or may not have said isn't being stated as fact by me. I said IF AA was telling the truth, it would be irresponsible. He has stated so at least twice now that he was told those things by the Sheriff. My original point is that AA should stop doing interviews. Lol. His interviews are making everyone look bad. Imo

I honestly feel bad for AA at this point. Any way you cut the pie, he's coming out in a slice. The kid knows he's in a bad area, so he posts pictures of himself with firearms so he can look hard to the locals. I'll tell you what, if I was a 19 year old kid alone at work with lots of cash on hand, in a town with that much criminal activity I'd want to look hard too. He just doesn't strike me as malicious enough to be a gangbanger, and he sure as hell isn't smart enough to be any sort of kingpin. He's got money he's displaying, so what, ya know it's the culture that's prevalent there, he wants to be a high roller too. At least he hasn't posted pictures of himself eating money... Yet, lol. Yeah I know he's posted pictures of expensive belongings too, but the part of the world he came from is thick with oil money. Who knows if he has an uncle with oil money? I know I don't.

If he actually does know anything and he isn't talking about it, it's for the same reason no one else is talking about it. The gangs rumored to be present there aren't the boy scouts, and that is for damned sure.

The dumb 🤬🤬🤬 sheriff if he actually did tell him what he said he told him, actually endangered his life. There are some real kooks that want this kid dead, because they think he knew how Jessica died before he should have.

He does need to go completely silent at this point, every time he opens his mouth he sticks both feet in it.

Yet in article accompanying the audio, AA is incorrectly quoted as stating:

“By the time it came to eleven, the police, the sheriff, and everybody come [AA says, "came"] to the store. They said, ‘we got to watch the camera.’ I said, ‘what happened?’ He said, ‘Jessica just died.’ I’m like, ‘Oh my god what happened?’ He said they poured gasoline into her mouth, that’s how I know, cause the sheriff told me.”

You can hear it for yourself in the audio linked above. AA states, "...the police, the sheriffS..."

He said Sheriffs, but he meant two Deputies. "He," one of the deputies, told him. MOO

There is no indication that JC is the victim of a serial sexual predator or killer. But just as an fyi, since convenience stores and small towns/rural areas are common hunting grounds for predators. This is prolly one of the best insightful articles that I have read concerning serial predators;

Serial Killers - A Homicide Detective's Take
By Lieutenant Nelson Andreu (Retired)
Miami Police Department
http://www.expertlaw.com/library/investigators/serial_killers.html

Credentials and Interest

It was during my tenure of over 20 years as a homicide Detective and Detective Sergeant with the Miami Police Department that I investigated six serial murder cases. I like to think that the experience I gained in those investigations has given me a most rudimentary glimmer of understanding as to what motivates a serial killer in undertaking his atrocities.

These six serial murder cases, which accounted for the murders of nearly 50 people, all took place in the Miami area. All six offenders were men: two Hispanic/white males, two African-American males, and two white Anglo males. They all had different, although equally macabre, reasons for their acts. Three of the killers confessed their crimes while the others took their reasons to their graves, dying of AIDS while in prison or taking their own lives. The three men who confessed provided us with many, sometimes distressingly vivid, details of how, why, and when they committed their crimes.

Although part of my job as a homicide detective is to analyze the motives of killers, my interest goes beyond the requirements of my job. I have acquired and extensively studied a lengthy and well-written dissertation prepared by a convicted and, to me unknown, serial killer, and material from this document is incorporated into this article. <sniped Read More>

Is it possible the deputies were talking to each other? (Sorry. I should listen to audio 1st. I'm trying to do 3 other things at once AND half-a$$ed keeping up with this thread, LOL.)

In stores like that, they often sell chicken by the piece. Or maybe it could have been fries, hot wings, sauce...who, no matter how much you pay off the police, would sell drugs in the open, without trying to cover their actions or anything? Real life isn't like The Wire, not at all.

Ok, I took a couple of days to Christmas shop and am trying to quickly catch up. I'll have to disagree with you on the drug dealing out in the open. I've seen so many deals go down in convenience store parking lots I've lost count. The idiots dealing either don't care who sees them or are too stoned to give a fig.

"We know what happened to her," said District Attorney John Champion. "We're not going to comment on that."

The final results of the autopsy might not be available for about six weeks, Champion said, but officials have what they need to know what happened to the teen before her tragic burning death.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...-chambers-burned-teen-father-speaks/20554999/

According to that statement made by the DA they know what happened to Jessica. To me that means some scenarios can be ruled out. I'm thinking an unknown rapist killer is not at the top of the list. More like someone known to Jessica and more than likely not a sexual attack.

FWIW I've heard the term "chicken" used for cocaine many, many times in my lifetime as well as the term "cutting up chicken" used for bagging drugs for sale. I've also heard of pot dealers referred to as Auntie M.

  1. Reading through the thread for some reason a quote from the movie 'The Usual Suspects' came to my mind,"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist," says con man Kint, drawing a comparison to the most enigmatic criminal of all time, Keyser Soze.
  2. Thinking about this quote & the utter spiritual darkness of the person(s) who are responsible for her murder just sent a cold chill down my spine. :justice: for Jessica MOO

I personally don't believe he's received any threats whatsoever. I also believe he knew JC a lot better than he alleged in his recent news interview (making it sound like he knows her superficially, just as a daily customer). If he's afraid of anything, IMO, it's that the FBI are involved and the ***** is going to hit the proverbial fan sooner or later. What happened to the tough guy showing off the automatic weapon or flashing wads of cash? All JMO.

Based on the social media crap and comments here I also thought he was a recent immigrant. I'm glad I watched the video to clear that up. I think at this point he's in CYA mode. Not necessarily that he had anything to do with the murder but with the threats and all, he wants to distance himself from JC so people will leave him alone. I think he's acting like a scared 19 year old. He's running his mouth a lot and he doesn't have the maturity to realize how unhelpful this is.

However, this doesn't mean he lied to LE. We don't know what he has told them.

Got a link? I'm assuming he's Yemeni-American or came to the US extremely young.

Out of curiosity..Did AA say that the sheriffs told him of Jessica's murder or did the tow truck guy? Which showed up first? How could both parties inform him when they were clearly arriving at different times? Perhaps, the tow truck driver didn't give her name. Makes you wonder who he was speaking to earlier in the evening. I'm not saying he had anything to do with the crime, as he was clearly working at the time, but I think he knows who was involved.

If you can remember how much gas a person buys on a normal basis and know when a certain amount is out of the norm...you notice other things from other customers as well.

I also agree with another poster that her murder seem to "set an example" to others. It was just unusually cruel. I'm sad to say that I honestly think there's a chance that the killer(s) may walk away from this. From the misconduct of LE to the tow truck driver....you can only imagine how contaminated the crime scene may have been.

Other than that...I've read hear say and rumors on who the previous week's argument may have been with, but nothing substantial to back it up with. Seems a lot of Twitter users are following the case closely. None are actually media related, so I couldn't post.

there have been very public threats made on places we cant link here,
and there was audio aired on MSM of an actual call he was on where a person was making threatening comments.

Oh, I had to add about Chicken. TY, guys for catching me up on the young language of the day. I had no idea that could be slang for drugs. My Mom actually called me the other day and asked if I knew what gravel was. Of course I said I did and she went on to say it was drug. I was talking about the rocks that go in your driveway..lol..that's the only gravel I knew of. Apparently, it's slang for bath salts.

How does he know if it's on his surveillance system, he doesn't have it? According to him he gave it to LE.

I'm not caught up, so this may already have been answered - but some of these surveillance systems tape over/only retain their memory for a set period of time. If it has been longer that that since the possible assault, then he'd know that it would have been overwritten.

Yes. Those threats and the way he is being viewed by the public is a very big reason I say NO to doing any more interviews. Like I've stated, I think there may be a language barrier. When you watch him struggling for words or see him thinking 90 minutes = 3 hours, it does NOT indicate that he is suspicious or unintelligent. To me, it looks as though English is not his first language.

And I want to be clear, I do not think he murdered anyone!! My opinion is that he needs to stop doing interviews and fade into the background. He's received a ton of backlash and his life may be in danger if the person or persons responsible for murdering Jessica see him as a threat. The television interview that he did yesterday to clarify his position and to declare his point of view was shady. It looked to me like he was set up to look bad by not editing out certain parts of the conversation where it seemed he thought he was off-camera. He looked uncomfortable. Of course he was. He was 19 and I will bet that he's not ever been in this situation before.
