not much new info from the Clarion ledger but interesting to note that there may be some discrepancies in some of the stories told by all the people interviewed and they may be naming some POIs soon.

So, we look for those being taken in again for questioning. Lol, would be helpful if we knew who all they took in the first time. I do see this as a positive, though, because naming a POI(if they choose to do so) would open the door for us to talk about them ;)

I remember before the SM mayhem; LE seemed like a snail. Now after multi agencies were forced to join the investigation due to SM outrage; Now it seems like LE has some pep in their step. LOL. Now we will catch a killer.
social media has been huge in this case. Sure, much of it is noise, but it is quite funny just how many people out there do not realize how public what they post on FB is. Same goes for Twitter. People within my own group of friends reveal some head-scratching bits of info online. I've seen people get outed for having affairs and committing welfare fraud by their "friends". SM makes it easier for some people to say things because the audience is invisible. The lack of "street talk" in this case is being more than made up for by SM chatter.

Sounds hopeful. At least they are not saying they have reached a dead end. I believe justice will be served for Jessica. MOO.

While investigators are still mum on the specifics of the probe into the death of Jessica Chambers, the Panola County teen burned to death earlier this month, they say they're making slow and steady progress.

I bet the Greyhound bus have been filled with gangsters exiting town; due to the fact that they maybe ducking the law from past warrants. This town seems like a get away for thugs from bigger towns. But now they must realize that the Marshall and FBI are not only there looking for JC's killer. Rico indictements will soon follow once the killer is caught. Courtland will no longer be a safe haven for thugs and laxidasical cops.

Surely there is some informant in town with knowledge that could benefit the investigation here...and help themselves.

I think most of the SM speculations was from locals who are really tired of seeing their town/county continuously deteriorating. It must be a eye sore to people who truly wanted to escape or not live in a gang environment. People are struggling while these guys want to play gansta.

How was LE so quick to clear suspects when there is still crime lab and "DNA stuff" they're working and waiting on? :waitasec::facepalm::gaah::hand::bang:

IMO, some of those that were initially "cleared" aren't quite out of the woods just yet.:ufo:

"DNA Stuff"... that's a new one for me.

I'm certain you understand this but I think we really need to consider what is meant by cleared. Cleared in the context of an investigation, means only that the investigators are not following that particular lead. It's not cleared in the sense of a jury or judge, which means acquitted.

What I do find peculiar, is the fact that they are doing so, so quickly, and frequently. In a case where local LE has made it so obvious that they don't have a clue who did it, you would think they would reserve "clearing" anyone who is a POI in the case. The fact that they've done so with Mr. Alsanai, makes sense, his life was in danger or at least apparently so as a result of speculation, and for Miss Wilkerson who faced possible reprisal from associates.

Of course and agreed.

The US Marshals are involved, anyone that wanted to testify with relative safety could ask to be included in the Federal Witness Protection Program. The option is there, as well as the reward money.

I doubt the federal witness protection program covers anything that is not handled in federal court. The FBI is assisting but it is not their case so a federal prosecutor or judge can not issue this protection. But the state can offer an alternative safe haven. I just doubt they will go as far to offer 24 hr protection plus new identities plus free home in another state, etc. Jmo. If this was the case; then everybody in South Central L.A who testified against a murdering gangbanger would have been eligible.

My thoughts about this case being solved are probably silly :blushing:.
But I can't help but wonder (and hope) with Christmas approaching that someone who knows what happened to Jessica will come forward and do the right thing. Early on I felt justice would be swift in the little town of Panola. Boy was I wrong.

If someone comes forward, I think they would deserve that. If it were just my life, I would come forward without hesitation. Putting my family in jeopardy would make me think twice. My son is JC's age.

I would tell the FBI and bypass local LE. JMO

Word is that the Panolian says George Mister "has a hold" again today. Anybody know how to check it?

ETA, here is is. For some reason, I thought it was a pay site:

http://www.panolian.com/editionview...0dc&Page=ad4d1066-14ea-4098-9031-82dfccbebe14

I tried to look but they [the panolian] want me to subscribe :( grrrrr. I can access the usual panolian archives for free without a problem; however, trying to access the latest panolian for free has been difficult. I might cough-up the $1.50 to get the daily access. My credit card has taken a beating from the holiday season. Not sure If I even a dollar left on my card
