No, I think reporters are talking to locals about any rumors they might be hearing and there are none. I don't know where the rumor got started that JC might be an informant but I think that is a red herring.

I had about the same thought yesterday. I read about every post made on WS and also MSM links and what not. The fact that there seems to be no real updates from the police or FBI seems very odd to me.

It could also be because they're having a hard time to get confirmation that the people they suspect did it, or that they're trying to hide something.

But you know, I spent years investigating about the attack on the World Trade Center (9-11), along with other people. What we found out is that usually, when there isn't much information about someone, or when their friends' and families' testimonies about the person are clashing with each other, there is a reason to dig deeper. I won't get into details because 9-11 is not related to this thread at all, but the kind of information that we got on Jessica's life and death reminded me of some type of cover up.

Ditto. The only problem I have with it is that there are to many "players" who claim to have seen her. Both parents, the Sheriff, the Fire Chief. They don't seem like a cast of characters that could keep a secret like that - but who knows. As far as someone asking if FBI fakes people's death to enter them in to the witness protection program - - - I would not know, I think they are deceased.

On another note. Years ago, I had a good friend on the PD that helped me get out of an abusive relationship. One of the things that he told me was that if he could connect my ex to the biker gang in town, he could get the FBI to come in. He specifically said that the FBI won't come in to drug/death cases unless they can somehow be connected to gang activity, cartel, or conspiracies....and once the FBI comes in, they can get wire taps.

Did Fowler live on Herron Rd.? If so, I can understand her comments as any fisherman knows Crappie bite best in low light conditions. If not, there is zero reason to take Hurron Rd. to Lake Enid---NONE!

In looking at a map of the crime scene in relation to the lake, an avid fisherman who did not live on Herron Road must have been "a highly motivated sightseer" in order to drive that road en route to the lake. And on the same evening of the fire? Very interesting....

Someone previously upthread asked about bait? Perhaps Herron Road was a source of excellent bait supply...

the affair/jealousy theory would explain the comments like "she got what was coming" and "it went too far" and the seats being reclined. it doesn't explain the "snitch" comments.

But, if JC were in a car with someone else's man and his lady came along, she gets mad and starts beating on JC, what is the guy doing? If he was having an affair wouldn't he care enough about JC to stop the action and get the women separated? If he was in the car he would have been burned too. If he was standing outside the car would he let his lady set JC and her car on fire?

Maybe the guy was no longer in the vehicle when JC was confronted by the killer? Maybe she was being followed, turned in to that area where her car was found and got out to confront who was following her. Tossing a flammable liquid and lighting a match doesn't require a lot of skill. It's also not something JC could have possibly anticipated.

iirc, Jessica put in $14 in gas the night of her murder.

Reportedly, her dad gave her the car. I think, recently, when she returned from her hiatus. Not positive, but looking at google streets it appears to be parked at her dads property when the google pic was taken in April 2014. JMO

I also think with getting ready for the holidays and other familial obligations that we all have (e.g., birthday parties), one probably would go fishing around 4:20 p.m. to Enid Lake. All lakes in bayou interesting.

anonone, Do you recall where you acquired the 4:20 pm reference? A 40-minute drive to Enid Lake from Herron Road via Benson Road would place LF fishing the lake at dusk, I believe. (ETA:I supposed that I would be wise watching the Clay Chandler interview, yes?)

It could also have LF returning from the lake and on Herron, driving north, sometime after the burned vehicle was towed away e.g. 10:30 pm...

If the latter were the case, then law enforcement could have had Herron Road open to travel, and local news radio could have had a breaking story about the fire, the location, and the medevac conclusion all in place shortly before 10pm.

So it is conceivable that LF drove by the crime scene after the crime...with a logical explanation.

As to the former, that still seems illogical.

Has anyone watched Lifetime's movie, "The Assault"? I never and still don't think Jessica's death was a suicide, but the movie gave me chills and I actually considered it briefly. The movie starts out with a high school cheerleader walking on to the football field during a game and attempting to immolate herself. She had been raped by several football players and claimed her reasoning for setting herself on fire wasn't to kill herself, it was because she felt nothing (numb inside after the rape). It is an interesting movie to watch, the coverups that went on, the reasons behind the immolation, the way people treated her. It's not the best movie in the world but was quite interesting when considering Jessica.

• closing time for M&M was 11:00pm
• he places the deputy sheriffs inside at approximately same timeline i.e. 10:30 to 11 pm.

I believe that the burned vehicle was sufficiently cooled by the fire department between 8:30 pm and 9:45 pm, and that the tow truck winced the burned vehicle onto the flatbed with little worry regarding heat.

As far as I can recall, there has been considerable criticism surrounding the removal of the vehicle from the crime scene. Most of it has suggested that the removal was too soon, but indeed that it took place quickly.

JC died in one of the most horrific ways possible. I doubt that she was killed because someone was suspicious of why she left town. I don't believe race, religion, drugs or gangs were factors. One thing that seems consistent in all the chatter and rumor-mongering I've seen is that the fingers are all pointing at one or more of the same four factors.

I didn't see that interview but some of it doesn't make any sense. Why would deputies gather in a convenience store?

Never mind. I found a link. They didn't gather there, they came to get the security video. I still don't believe the crime scene would have been deserted to the point it wasn't noticed by someone passing by that night.

As for the burned out car being photographed in front of his gas station, Alsanai said the tow truck driver stopped at the station briefly. He was curious and took a picture. Alsanai says he has been cleared by the FBI but is still being harassed by those who think he had something to do with 19-year-old's death. Meanwhile, the family continues to mourn the loss. Grandmother Dot Boatright says she remembers the last moments she saw Chambers.

So aside from all the theorizing about who was where when based on what has been said ...how about that physical evidence?? I am so, so, so freaking sick of the apparent cowardice that those involved or who likely know something have been shuffling about town and posting this or that on their social media accounts, saying whatever behind the screen of a phone or computer.

I've laid low over the holiday but noticed that nothing substantial has been reported in the meantime on this case.

I feel like that paperboy kid in the movie Better Off Dead who was hounding John Cusack's character for his money ("I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!!") except... "DNA/LAB RESULTS... WE WANT THE DNA/LAB RESULTS!!"

I hope these results come back soon and that 100 or so potential witnesses gets cut down to some narrow number with very strong if not irrefutable physical - DNA or otherwise - evidence to bolster that outcome. I think anyone who was going to talk would've talked by now, and I think anyone who knows anything is either afraid, complicit, or both based on the silence.

I don't trust what anyone says, but am more focused on what they don't say or where there are discrepancies. I am also more interested in knowing who no longer wears a certain pair of shoes, or jacket, etc. since that night. The things or the absence of them that speak for themselves.
