NONE......great point! I would also note she mentioned visiting the spot where her friend was attacked and she also talks of how she couldn't have done this to her own dog. Seems like at a minimum she knows something.

Yes it does. Notice the "I" regarding her fishing trip and not noticing anything......no "we"

"I can't believe I didn't see anything when I passed by here. I wish I had. I would have helped her. I would have fought for her if I had to."

I hate that IMO no one's going to talk that hasn't already, and the only way to solve this case will be through clever investigative work based on forensic and electronic evidence, and the local (modsnip) either ruined/destroyed those clues by accident early on or at least screwed up the chain of custody, exposing any physical evidence they DO have to objections over admissibility. Oh,I almost forgot reporter questioned damage to Jessica's vehicle. DA Champion said persons processing the crime scene were attempting to force Jessica's trunk open and attributed vehicle body damage (noted in SM photo posted from M&M)to brute force on trunk)<snipped>

Finally DA Champion said some lab work due this week. Champion indicated he and Sheriff considering(not sure if those are words)convening a Grand Jury(at least I heard it that way?) & multiple subpoenas were being being served. MOO

I wonder why the person that passed the scene that night has not been identified.
I wonder that too. Why the secrecy about the 911 caller and why has no MSM hunted him/her down and gotten an interview? In almost all cases I am familiar with, the 911 call is released. Why not this one?

Once again. I think JC went to lovers lane aka the crime scene to make out with a male. Now I think the male's girlfriend pulled up next to them and caught them in the act. Now the girlfriend may have just tried to beat up JC but went too far. So to cover up the aftermath; I think the girls boyfriend started the fire to destroy evidence. But once JC awoke and exited the car on fire; They got scared and felt bad; So they had somebody call the fire dept while they fled the scene to escape murder charges. Jmo

Finally DA Darby said some lab work due this week. Darby indicated he was convening a Grand Jury(at least I heard it that way?) & multiple subpoenas were being being served. MOO

I thought the subpoenas might be for dna and phone records. Good point about a Grand Jury!

According to Darby, a motorist alerted DARBY's department. Darby, being the sheriff. Motorist being a civilian. JMO

Agreed ... and thanks for reworking it. (The original sentence sure isn't worded very well, as the possessive pronoun "his" could seemingly refer to the sheriff or the motorist. Grrrr.)

Well, I did get warm, then my tongue felt sort of fuzzy... Then I hurled. Fighting the flu here still. All jocularity aside, the guy sickens me with his laissez faire law enforcement attitude. The crime is not going to solve itself, no one is going to strut on in and say, Joe Jocularity did it, because if that was going to happen it would have happened already. They're going to have to shake some people up if they expect anything to develop. Just re-examining material that got you nowhere for the last 20 some days isn't going to cut it.

Sorry you are feeling bum. I'd offer you uncut lemon juice if there, feel better.

That's something about the trunk and good to know. As it seems the first night, according to the DA, they weren't sure where to look on the hard drive with the surveillance video from M&M's or hadn't yet, until Clark, the reporter, alerted them to what he saw on the screen at M&M's in the days that followed. At that point, the first night and then Sunday, LE may have thought they had a name. LE may have been interviewing those names already, so the video may have not been a priority, I'm guessing. After Clark alerted them to the footage of Jessica and the gas jug white stripe guy from just 90 minutes prior to her burning, LE still may have not been able to pin point the footage due to the confusion between the time stamp on the original hard drive they had collected, which may have been a backup drive and not time adjusted, thus their need to go back to the same screen AA was showing media at the gas station. Since then, they have more videos from other places and are going back in time to check things, hopefully with all the precision possible. It would seem sometimes the most precise leads are the one's that come early but get inundated by other information, kind of what the DA alluded to during the interview about lots of not credible leads coming in. I hope they go back and forth on everything from the first night and on, as more information from labs and other sources come in. The DAs demeanor, such as it is, I think will not get in the way of the search for answers and justice for Jessica, it seems to me.

Cady, Thanks for this clarification.

Did JC older siblings hang around this type of crowd at a early age. Or did this atmosphere just recently flood Courtland in the past 4 years?

I wonder how LE knows someone was in the car with JC. If they KNOW someone was in the car with her, they would almost have to know who it was. And where would they have gotten that information? They wouldn't have been able to know this by anything found in the car that belonged to someone else b/c everything in that car would certainly have been burnt up. I think all DNA unless it was found inside JC would gave also been destroyed by the fire. Besides, anything that survived the fire, including DNA cannot be dated. So, they would not be able to tell by DNA how long it had been there. Even though they tell us that no one is talking, I don't believe that for one second. For LE to know that someone was in the car with her, someone would have had to tell them that. jmo

Maybe they have proof that she cleaned out her car before it was found. So they may figure that what ever was left was from after she cleaned her car.

If that is true... (and don't we hope it is, ;) )
why do you think there's been no arrest?
Maybe not enough evidence....just thinking out loud.
moo

Not enough evidence yet is my guess.

Any employee who is dumb enough to risk their job smuggling contraband INTO a jail is likely destined to become a resident themselves.
Just sayin.....
Point is...it does happen!

Imo. The feds are building a rico case as well. So they may know who is the muderer; but they maybe gathering enough evidence to round up multiple people on other charges at the same time. This will help other people to spill the beans with the hopes of a minimum sentence on other charges. Jmo

Oh, no! Here we go again.........Another DA and another GJ. I so hope that isn't true............JMO

With the FBI involved it is possible.
