I am thinking that the amount of accellerant was substantial considering the clothing that Jessica was wearing that evening and the damage to her car. Empty containers of accellerant around Courtland and Batesville just do not disappear.

If the accelerate was light fluid like for example Kingsford, and the person threw the plastic container into the fire inside the car, I don't think there would be anything left of that container.

I get the feeling that whoever did this was having issues with JC and asked her to meet them at that area to talk. I feel certain she knew her perp(s). From a past article the first responder believes she said Eric or Derrick.

Sorry but I cannot recall the details about the past assault charges against JC. I recall there were two, but were they dropped or had she not appeared on them yet? I wonder if the person/people whom she assaulted did this or had someone they know do it. Sure sounds like a hate crime to me. I do not believe this was a random act and I am not losing hope that LE catch the perp(s). I believe LE are laying low, watching and waiting for someone to slip up. JMO.

Investigators say Chambers was able to talk with the first responder. Bibbs says the investigator mentioned to him that Chambers had said the name Derrick or Eric.

Girls in small town Oklahoma wear pj pants like they wear jeans. They have no problem wearing them in public or to a gathering (what some would call a party, but is just a group hanging out at someone's house). They go for comfort and don't really care about what people think. Seems JC would have fit right in. To me, it did not indicate a late night the night before. It appeared she was not worried about being all dressed up to run errands or go see people.

I did the same at her age (Texas here.) I often wore pajama pants to class in college, to "parties", to the store, met up with my boyfriend like that, etc. I did not care one bit what anyone thought about what I was wearing. I did at least make the effort to match my pj pants up with whatever shirt I was wearing, but that's because I'm a matchy type of person. I put "parties" in quotes because those types of parties weren't really the parties I think a lot of people may be thinking of. They were just like you described, basically just smaller gatherings of friends, with some uh, party favors, but nothing pre-planned or anything like that. These "parties" were sometimes at houses and sometimes just outside somewhere in the boonies. To a big, actual party, I'd wear actual clothes. My guess is, if she went at all, she went to something more like a gathering of people she knew.

I still cannot figure out why Wilkerson was booked if she was in only for interrogation. One naturally when LE asks a question would not respond and then ask for a lawyer. What are they teaching in North Central Mississippi?

On The First 48, most of the people they interrogate never ask for a lawyer. It amazes me how many of them just go in there and eventually start talking. I don't know why she was booked, but don't they sometimes place holds on people for a day or two? If not that, then maybe they booked her for something small, like unpaid tickets or something, hoping she'd talk during that time.

Do we know a listed (MSM published, accepted) occupation for Charlotte Wilkerson?

She has three FB pages with occupations listed.

Hmmm. . . I recall in 2013 that the Elvis girl from Myrtle Beach area was murdered by her lover for his jealous wife. The wife seems to have had a hand in the murder too. They are in jail awaiting trial, so the truth is not known yet on what actually happened.

That's a missing person case and my point remains the same. Good luck persuading a jury that the husband helped his jealous wife kill his current lover. We've seen cases where husband and wives together have killed past lovers but I'm not aware of any case where the target is the current lover. If somebody could enlighten me, I'd appreciate it.

All made up occupations? What could Jessica have possibly done to be hated so bad, that her life was ended this horrifically? I understand being jealous, but that jealous you would do such a thing to a person, in a small town, where everyone knows each other? You can't keep, who is seeing who, behind so and so's back very long without people knowing and spreading that all over town. Gossip like that is part of the entertainment in a small town, whether one wants to admit it or not, people know your business.

Sidney Moorer's defense attorney files motion seeking bond hearing in Elvis case

By Michael Smith

Sidney Moorer’s defense attorney is asking an Horry County judge to set bond, saying in recently filed court records Moorer “could not be legally convicted” of kidnapping and murdering Heather Elvis.

[...]

Evidence provided through the discovery process proves Sidney Moorer is entitled to bond, Truslow’s motion states.

“Defense counsel has had the opportunity to review the discovery provided,” the motion states. “The discovery provided not only contradicts the state’s representations at the initial bond hearing, but further establishes that Sidney Moorer could not be legally convicted of the crimes charged.”

[...]

Lack of evidence (against SM) possibly?
Or perhaps all the discovery has not been released by the State?

Is SM's Attorney, Truslow playing the "No body — No crime" card already?

MOTION FOR BOND .PDF

*4. Defense counsel submits that Sidney Moorer is entitle a bond. A more detailed explanation and analysis is set forth in Defendant's memorandum in support of his motion for band, which will be provided to the Court and State.

I just posted this in Heather Elvis discussion (a local case for me) to re-enforce your point @MyBelle.

Yesterday, Hubby (Sidney Moorer) requested bond for "lack of evidence" in this case.

Sidney IS being charged along with his wife (Tammy) in the kidnap and murder of Heather Elvis (target) despite a body being recovered as of yet.

Heather and Sidney were having an affair in 2013.

There is also talk that he may be speaking to LE but, that is yet to be proved.

I thought the affair was over when she disappeared? I see plenty of motive for the wife to get rid of her competition. The husband? I just don't see it in either of these two cases.

What is the significance of the Skyline Motel?

I think it has to do with another theory floating around out there on sites we cannot discuss. I Just read something about it yesterday for the first time.

With respect to the JC discussion, I don't want to clog up this thread talking about HE. Please join us over there and I'm sure your presumptions/questions will be made clear.
