#JessicaChambers - Douglas won't give specific names of who they interviewed, due to the highly publicized case.

Douglas says he got feeling "Eric or Derrick" started to circulate, may have influenced other firefighters #JessicaChambers

Hey Undiscovered Truth - you want to take over?? I'll be cooking my dinner soon! :D

Douglas is talking about what first responders heard and says it's possible it could be a "whisper down the lane" kind of thing with regard to the name Eric of Derrick. He said some people said they could clearly hear her, some said they could barely hear her.

Douglas says that when officers are involved in a traumatic event, they are given 24 and 72 hours to process things before writing a report. Douglas says he should have done that here (provided the officers with that time), and he didn't.

Douglas explaining that volunteer first responders do not have the training that professional LE has. They "work on the farm five days a week" then answer the call. I think his point is that they aren't really trained to write reports.....seems like he's trying to nicely say these "boys" as he calls them might not be the most "academic" of types and skilled at writing reports. They were "traumatized on the scene."

Douglas first interviewed Roscoe, then Brian. Brian was on JC's phone records. Brian Mullet/Mullin. Douglas first spoke to QT four days after. Not recorded. Only "memoralized" in notes and reports.

Douglas explaining #JessicaChambers responders saw something they had never seen before. Not used to dealing w/ this type of scene, crime.

I'm about at the point that I no longer care about the "Eric/Derrick" dying declaration. Who knows what she actually said or why...fact is, it wasn't Eric or Derrick who set her on fire, according to the evidence we've seen so far.

QT really hung himself by talking to police for so long. Being a seasoned criminal, he should have known better. My guess is he couldn't restrain himself because he wanted to know what police knew.

Okay - I see your post - can't get this "off" bold....

Witness:

These First Responders do not have the training LE has

Have not scene this type of crime, type of scene that LE has

To read reports some of these boys wrote, and see reports LE wrote...

These boys were traumatized on the scene

Douglas says there were definitely more than 5, but probably fewer than 100 "Erics and Derricks" on the list they were provided of men with those names in the county. Talked to Derrick Holmes pretty early in investigation. His family was sick of him (Douglas) when he was done interviewing Derrick. Derrick was literally at home rubbing his momma's feet when Jessica died.

Douglas says he was provided a list of every Eric and Derrick in Panola Co. #JessicaChambers

Douglas knows that Derrick was at home through witness interviews. Derrick borrowed cell phones, didn't have his own. Derrick was also DNA tested. Derrick had no contact with Jessica on that Saturday, December 6, 2014. Period.
