Paul says topography and weather affects RTTs.

We worked on the case for ten months and the only three places that fell within the "green dot" area were: (Not to be confused with the green dot card.....these are green polka dots on his chart)

M&M
QT's home
Area they had sex

(Sorry, I'm a little lost on what this means but I'm posting it anyway!)

Paul now explains Cell Site Data.

You have a phone and you want to call people on it and your phone company doesn't want to lose you, so they are going to give you the strongest signal they can give you.

Paul is explaining how phone companies do not own cell towers and explaining how cell towers work to provide strongest signal for phone users nearby--showing "sectors" coming out of a cell tower. But these towers also provide lesser signals to people outside the "sectors." These are the "can you hear me now?" areas.

(This is so boring)

Analysis Data Expert

Office is The War Room; expert analyzed all data, including Facebook

Highly recommends password protection to open and access cellphone
Took US Marshalls hours upon hours to unlock and open JCs cellphone

Analyzed 1000 tower dumps from phones; most gave their phones and no SW needed

Tower dump on JCs phone is 769 pages long!

JCs phone shut off at 8:04pm

From 6:30 - 7:30 JC not at M&Ms

JC used Verizon
QT used AT&T

QT deleted all texts and phone calls to or from JC
Could not obtain deleted data from QT due to AT&T server to QTs cellphone

Verizon provided the past 7 days Nov 30 - Dec 6 on JCs phone including all data, apps, SM

Per Paul: The first "aha" moment was when Paul realized his cell site data put QT in Baitesville around the 6PM hour, which matched JC's cell site data. Significant because he had previously denied being in Baitesville at all that evening.

Verizon allows the ability to obtain content of deleted texts for 7 days. AT&T does not. QT had AT&T, and had deleted everything to and from Jessica. JC had Verizon so he was able to get the content from roughly Nov. 30 - Dec. 6.

Wow. Verizon stores all texts while ATT does not! Time to switch to ATT.

^^ Thank you!!!! lol@boring. That explains the lack of tweets coming through---everyone's fallen asleep!!

Exactly. We saw this in the Dan Markel case and I think/hope this is what's currently going on in the Delphi murder case. In fact, I just posted about that very thing over there.

This has come up in almost every case I follow. Or if there is an arrest within a day or two then "it's too fast." But mostly it's complaints that LE is doing nothing and the evidence of this "doing nothing" is that LE has not disclosed the inner details (or any details) of what they're doing, therefore if a case follower isn't given this inner circle information (which they never get), it means LE has dropped the ball and that's it. It's the 'ole "picture or it didn't happen" mentality.

Paul is talking about the CCTV camera that points from M&M to QT's home. Basically talking about things that are not perfect in the view (trees, pixelation). Also is that the time on the CCTV is off by one hour (ahead one hour) because of it not being adjusted for DST. Paul says he doesn't just take their word for it, so investigated it himself to make sure that was indeed correct. He validated it when he saw Jessica on the camera, making a call, and the time of her phone call was exactly one hour different from the time that appears on the camera when she is making that call.

M&Ms cctv was off one hour: ahead by one hour

Ph records one hour behind CCTV

5:29 JC uses phone at M&Ms - matching phone analysis with cctv

Edited CCTV, by splicing, to form a complete TimeLine at M&Ms

Entire raw video is in evidence for jury to view if they desire

Timeline anaysis

Known each other for 2 - 3 weeks prior to death

Approach: granted

You keep bringing this up but but who is thinking like this?

Any sane person could figure out LE has access to the info people on the net do not and know how to do their jobs better than those sitting in front of their computers.

LOL pick a big murder case...any case...and read about 4 weeks to 16 weeks after the crime. You'll see...

Can you clarify this? I think they meant *all* texts -- not deleted texts.

This is a location operation. How does Verizon know what you deleted in your phone?

Logic is an important part of problem-solving. You probably should not care about what those people think at all in the first place.

I'm not exactly sure how to answer your question, but what he was saying, which was not about location at this particular moment, was that because QT deleted all texts from JC from his phone, and he has AT&T, they would not be able to access the content of any texts between QT and JC. BUT, JC had Verizon, and Verizon WILL provide (with a subpoena) the content of texts (deleted or not) for the last 7 days. So, they were able to get a report from Verizon that details all texts on JC's phone from roughly the last 7 days of her life. Hope this makes sense. We have not heard the content of those texts yet.
