Defense has so far called no witnesses that add any value to their defense.
Tim's Dad is on the stand now and smiling?
G'pa owned over 50 rental properties in Grenada and surrounding areas.
Geez, we may never find Jay Lee!

Timothy was "very active" in the church.
State asked if Timothy ever brought girlfriends to Church. (no)
Then asked the same about boyfriends. (no)
Then asked if he knew Timothy was interested in guys. (no)
He said he did not know that Timothy was interested in guys.

So far all the defense has really gotten out of Dad and G'pa was Timothy worked on the rental properties.

G'pa is trying to explain Timothy heading South out of the home and not getting caught on camera that time by saying he has a rental property out that way. (This is the time he left, came back and then removed the wheel barrow and tools from the back of the box truck)

State:
When asked to give any information to police when Timothy was arrested-G'pa would not talk
When G'pa was called to testify at GJ.
He took the 5th
They asked if he recalled this.

G'pa stated he had Timothy's cell phone number when he was living in Oxford, he just waited until Timothy was in Grenada to give him odd jobs at the rental properties. (are we trying to explain why there are no text from G'pa to do any jobs that day)

Judge asking Timothy is he wishes to testify.
He does not.
Defense has rested it's case.

Praying for a quick verdict. Justice for Jimmie. I wish families wouldn't excuse actions and would ask "kids" to just do the "right thing" and tell what happened. I mean, what happened when Jimmy came back to his apartment at Timothy's request? What did Jimmie mean that the sexual encounter "ended badly"? Why did Timothy google how long it would take to strangle someone right before Jimmie got there if he didn't intend to kill him? Why did Timothy drive Jimmie's car to another lot? And, most importantly, WHERE is Jimmie?

Correction.
Dad replied 'Sure' when asked if Timothy ever brought any gfs to church.

After he said he did not know about him having an interest in guys. He said he learned that after the fact

Yes....all very important questions but the most important one is where is he?
His family needs to be able to bury him.
I don't think it will take long to come back with a guilty verdict here.

I am local to the area but not in the courtroom. Listening/Watching and updating.

Closing arguments now.
I don't think this be will hard for the jury to decide.

Jury has instructions.

Deliberations have begun at 11:03 am CST

Judge Luther feels there will be a verdict today.
One side will feel they have won and one will not. However, he feels the Defendant had proper/ adequate defense.

Don't think G'pa or Dad's money is going to get him out of this one! :)

We have the Judge on camera again.
Q-What if we cannot agree on a verdict?

He read to them an answer and asked them to go back and deliberate some more.
