OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Law enforcement is asking for help to find a missing woman from Illinois.

Mitanette Cooper, 47, was last heard from by her family on June 11th.

The Kankakee, Illinois woman was visiting Oktibbeha County when her family heard from her.

Cooper is about 5’9″ and weighs about 200 pounds.

There are red highlights in her hair.

She is from Illinois but was visiting Mississippi.

She's lived at her current address on Chicago Avenue in Kankakee since 2018. A modest sigle family home that was valued at 91,000.

She had a former address was in Gary IN. There was a petition for a tax deed in that area in 2021 for a Mitanette A. Cooper but outside of that I could find no known court records, civil or otherwise in Kankakee or Indiana (entire state) in recent records. There was one arrest for retail theft in 2011 for a Mitanette A. Cooper age 33 (in 2011) in Chicago but without a picture, or verified middle Initial of the missing woman, I can't say for certain either of those referenced events are the same Mitanette.

A note: you may find yet another women by that exact name in Chicago - there's a few articles out on her (she has a flying club named after her in Shaumberg). She is quite wealthy and well knpwn in the yachting community in Chicago and is NOT the same person
