That was yesterday. They are still looking for her and said they are exploring all options until they can conclude what happen to her. The family has said it is an abduction, LE has not said. Links above. Pictures above show LE on its way out moments ago searching.

Thanks. My bad. Didn't even look at the date. :blushing: did think it was contradictory to the tweets happening, though.

No worries. I thought the same thing when I read it. I was equally confused, but then again, I feel I always am :)

Relooking at this earlier tweet and there appears to be a chain link fence around the yard. I wonder how much area it covers? This definitely means Myra couldn't have just walked off in any direction.

I'm a little concerned about the Lewis RSO that lives in the area. I haven't been able to rule him out as family. It makes me fell a little sick in the pit of my stomach. Surely, LE has questioned him and ruled him out, no?

It looked like statutory rape in his case....many years back? I hope that makes Myra not his type.

We have a similar set up, fully fenced with a long drive. We never close the gate. It's a pain to get in and out of the car all the time to open and close it every time you come and go.

Yes, Myra's yard is fenced... but was the gate CLOSED? She still could have walked out...

Thanks, and yes hopefully it was just a case of him having a younger gf and he's not a danger to Myra.

This reminds me of those movies where a crowd has gathered and they say, "Welp, move along folks. Looks like there's nothing to see here."

Where my husband grew up in rural MS, they either went to Hattiesburg or Mobile for groceries. My BILs and SILs that live there still do. They have a closer, local grocery that has a 1/4 of the selection at 300% mark up in price. People who do not live in these situations do not understand driving "into town" for supplies. But hey....at least we don't have to still hitch up the wagon.

Hattiesburg is where we shopped as well. I am happy to live closer to the coast now and within 15 min of the grocery. My office is closed for Mardi Gras today but it is just to darn cold to attend the parades (which is unusual this time of year). I get to spend the day with you guys though hoping and praying for little Myra.

I figured it was just an "update" press conference... didn't seem like they were going to have any news.
(I would be very surprised if it doesn't show up on facebook first when she's found.)

Yes....but it limits the area she walked out of. She had to go out the gate, and then right, left, or straight. Less likely to be.....say.....north of the property.

RT51 - I think you mean that you will not condemn (rather than condone) the parents, correct?
That's the meaning I took from your post anyway. :seeya:

Oops! It was late! :blushing:

Wow. Sheriff Randy Tucker stated that he is NOT investigating the case as an abduction and that family IS cooperating. Leads are coming in. Interesting!

@WLBT_DKenney: Sheriff Tucker says he is NOT investigating this case as an abduction. Family is cooperating and leads are coming in http://t.co/eoVAD9u4TP

ETA: Here is more from WLBT:

"Sheriff Tucker said he is NOT investigating this case as an abduction, and the family is cooperating in the investigation. He also said leads are coming in.

The news conference was brief, and just before it started 11 cars of MHP troopers and Madison County Sheriff's Deputies left headquarters headed toward Camden.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues its Amber Alert for Lewis. Myra's parents believe she was abducted this past weekend."

He was born about January 10.
So he is definitely under 2 months old.
I can't imagine leaving a baby that young at all, much less for 6 hours.
(Though if she isn't breastfeeding it may not be a big deal.)
Maybe after a few kids it's different, I only have 2 so that's probably part of it.

I would just feel better if we heard from Mom or Dad directly that Mom was gone that long. :twocents:
Again, I don't think the parents are involved at all.

Emmett Trapp was never seen.
He came really close to houses but volunteers were not allowed to search. :tantrum:

Many woman have to return to work after 8 weeks of maternity leave. They have no choice. I understand that's not what she was doing that day. But it's seems apparent she had faith her husband could handle taking care of a 2 month old for a few hrs. March 1st is the 1st of the month and it was a weekend and grocery stores are always extremely busy. With a 2 month old and 2 yrs. and other kids maybe her grocery shopping was her peace and quiet time. Maybe she also stopped for a quick lunch? JMO

I hope she is found safe.
