"@radamsWJTV: Sheriff says they have shifted from search mode to investigative mode in #search for #missingtoddler."

Or, it could be the total opposite, they think she is still alive and with someone. But, then I just don't understand a lot, especially the digging. I pray that is the answer. But if they felt she was alive somewhere, I don't think they would stop looking for her.

"@radamsWJTV: Randy Tucker says he believes 2year old #Myra Lewis is still somewhere in the area."

"@radamsWJTV: Tucker says they are following leads in the case."

Is it me or is this presser the most UNinformative presser ever? In 8 minutes, I've only seen they are investigating and Myra is "in the area". Really?

Oh, and they are following leads in the case. Wow, that's a shocker. Sorry, bad mood. :blushing:

I think it means recovery.

And why arrest the mother of a missing 2 yr old and a new baby at home for a probation violation? alittle hinky to me.......

I think what they are saying is...they can't keep avoiding pressers, but they still aren't going to talk.

They know something, I just won't believe otherwise.

  • #789
There are scenarios that would include someone picking Myra up if she appeared (to them) to be neglected. I've wondered what kind of "talk" is circulating around the community. I come at this angle from the perspective of growing up as the kid of a social worker in a small town and rural community much like this one. I'm still puzzled by yesterday's revelations and their bearing on this case.

I totally agree.

Exactly! The warrant for her arrest was issued in January, from my understanding, so they had the opportunity to pick her up before. IMO, even though LE said the arrest has nothing to do with Myra going missing, it's very telling her being arrested during the investigation. Personally, arresting someone under these circumstances is done usually as leverage, to get information. They could have waited.

SUV taken from Myra's home was processed as evidence. There was speculation that Myra may have been ran over. no blood was found in car

So nothing found IN car, but no word about OUT of the car. So, this is confirmation that the car was from the home. I truly am sick.

Is that twitter from a news station?

As far as Myra's mom Ericka, she was arrested on a probation violation. Last year she was convicted of welfare fraud. @WLBT
Sheriff says her arrest has nothing to do with disappearance. Family isn't buying it. They are upset police arrested her bc she has a baby

Sheriff says there are new leads. He would not go into details but he believes case is progressing. @WLBT

Yes, it's an unfortunate time to be locked up, especially if she's breastfeeding the baby. However, I strongly believe arresting her was a tactical move to get her to tell them "something". I do hope she's being treated well and that the truth will come out soon.

That right there may be why she never has spoken with media. Someone in that community knows something, one way or another. My speculation is that tongues may be loosening. JMO.

BBM: Ditto. I feel as if they would have waited to arrest her until the investigation was over if they didn't feel she had something to offer to this investigation.

IF someone is breast feeding, they should think about that before breaking the law. I have no sympathy for people who break the law, especially people who do so when they don't think of their children first. If you have a baby and don't want to be in jail/prison from them, don't break the law.
