IF she is breast feeding, she should have thought about her consequences before she was "walking" around with a firearm. I have no sympathy for people who break the law, especially people who do so when they don't think of their children first, my comment is not directed towards Myra, but in regards to the comment the family made towards the baby. If you have a baby and don't want to be in jail/prison from them, don't break the law.

Precisely. Having a newborn and breastfeeding is not a get out of jail free card.

I totally agree. I don't feel sympathetic for her as far as the legal consequences of her choices. I'll reserve my feelings for Ericka as far as Myra is concerned for now...

Exactly! The warrant for her arrest was issued in January, from my understanding, so they had the opportunity to pick her up before. IMO, even though LE said the arrest has nothing to do with Myra going missing, it's very telling her being arrested during the investigation. Personally, arresting someone under these circumstances is done usually as leverage, to get information. They could have waited.

Also they could have waited until tomorrow when courts are open, instead of arresting her Friday night with no bond hearing all weekend. Seriously was the probation violation more serious than what is going on now and taking care of her 2 month old? HINKY

Kinda reminds me of another case, arrested on lesser charges, given bond, them BAM few days later heavy charge smackdown.

I am in no way saying this is what the PD is doing or implying anything about the mother. But the sheriff is giving me that impression.JMO

Guys I just got a tweet about the remaining children being removed from the home. It was from @crabblers but when I look at his page I don't see that tweet. Anyone see that??

Yes, it's an unfortunate time to be locked up, especially if she's breastfeeding the baby. However, I strongly believe arresting her was a tactical move to get her to tell them "something". I do hope she's being treated well and that the truth will come out soon.

If she was breastfeeding, she probably has milk in the freezer. Since she was out all day Saturday, it leads me to believe she pumped (baby would have needed to eat, there aren't many newborns who go 5 hours between day time feedings) or used formula.

Not good news

Per Sheriff - All the children living at home on Mt. Pilgrim Road were taken out of the home and are in custody of Dept of Human Services.
Media just interviewed Ericka's mom, she stresses that her daughter had nothing to do with Myra's disappearance.

Yeah uh oh indeed. But the tweet is not there. It's still on my phone (I get mobile text alerts) though but I can't find it on the actual twitter page.

There it is! That's from a different person but yep, that's the tweet I got at 3:41. So something is definitely going on then. Or maybe because the family was complaining that she has a baby and needs to be home? Would they really take the kiddos for that reason??

No. They could have taken the baby for several reasons. Could have been the gun, they suspected the child was hit by the car, or the fact that Myra was last seen between 10-11, dad noticed at noon she wasn't there and was told she was with mom, but didn't confirm and now she is missing and it sounds like they suspect foul play. Even if they thought she wandered off and it turned out she had, I had fully suspected this to happen....children need to be supervised at all times. A two year old must be in the care of an adult, at all times.

This story is starting to remind me of little Jake Kimbley from Texas.

Where are you, little Myra? Please come home!

That's honestly been my thought from about the third day, that she was run over accidentally. I really didn't think she was abducted from the beginning. After the second night she was missing I started to think she did not just wander off. Hopefully they can find little Myra soon. My heart breaks for all the kids in this household.

I agree!!

When a child goes missing for wandering off, that deserves a child services investigation. When the child isn't reported missing for hours, that deserves an investigation. Anytime a parent is arrested on a weapons charge, that deserves an investigation.

I'm not saying that to implicate the parents. The actions of that day and the days following, show merit for an investigation into the home. The fact that CPS was called in, I believe is par for the course. To remove the children...not so much.

Yes! ITA. The children could have been removed due to suspected neglect.
I have wondered about someone in the community taking her for the same reason. Maybe someone was tired of seeing it on a continual basis. Not saying it would be right, but it has occurred to me. It's hard to believe they could stay there, though, without someone eventually finding out. But if they took her even just to Jackson, then it would tough to find her unless someone talks. Lots of ways to hide her there.

I know that we are all thinking that something else closer to home, so to speak, has happened and that the above possibility is remote. I just feel like that however remote, it's still a slim possibility. JMO

Anyone still viewing pages on social media? I am and I am absolutely ticked off at the moment! It seems to me with the mom being arrested on a gun charge and with a little one not being watched like she should have been, and now being missing, that other family members would be a little more careful when it comes to the children and putting them in harm's way!
