http://www.wdam.com/story/29033368/...llects-donations-for-fallen-officers-families

The Greater Pinebelt Community Foundation has created a memorial legacy fund in honor of the Hattiesburg police officers that were killed Saturday.

The fund will benefit police officers and their families by not only providing immediate assistance in difficult times but by offering scholarships as well.

Your story about your mom brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing it with us. I just called the number to make a donation from all of us and the bank is not set up to take donations over the phone for some reason. I will send a check to the address you linked with a note from all of us here. Xo

Alas QB, it is you and so many others that are so very special. I will be forever indebted to LE for solving my brother's murder and it breaks my heart to read about the loss of these brave heroes. In a perfect world, these monsters would be locked up and the keys thrown away. I feel very helpless sitting here, not really sure how to make a difference anymore. Making a donation is the least I can do.

Suffice it to say, I have reaped the rewards from people like you who care about others on this board. God Bless. Xo

Hearse driver speaks about emotional trip home with body of slain officer

http://www.wdam.com/story/29048122/...motional-trip-home-with-body-of-slain-officer

Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home director Jason Ross drove the hearse that brought the body of officer Benjamin Deen from the Mississippi State Crime Lab back to the Hub City Monday afternoon. During the trip, countless law officers and first responders lined Highway 49 all the way from the Capital to Hattiesburg to show their respect.

"The outpouring of support from law enforcement, fire agencies, the (emergency medical services), the citizens who lined the highway on both sides coming back was a very emotional thing to see," said Ross.

These are two screen shots from security camera footage taken from the North Gate Inn in Hattiesburg where Marvin Banks was arrested.

MBI has recovered the gold Cadillac Escalade but would like to speak to the occupants for information they may know regarding the investigation.

If anyone has information regarding the identities and/or location of either of these two people in the attached photographs please contact MBI at 601-582-3529 and dial “0”.
