Looking at his Facebook it looks like his mom recently died over the last few months. And it states that he is in a relationship but when you look at her Facebook it appears that she has removed him completely from her account. A breakup perhaps? Hopefully he just needed some time alone to think. Come home Cory!

Anyone heard any updates? It’s scary that he hasn’t made contact with anyone yet...

He is still in a relationship. Her Facebook is just private, he is not removed. While your hypothesis is wrong, we appreciate your sentiment and everyone’s prayers. Please come home safely, Cory!

As someone not familiar with the area at all, was the location of the last phone ping along a route he would have taken or was it random?

Not to be nosey, but was his car financed or had it possibly been financed with a “sub-prime lender” by someone else in the past? My fiancé bought a truck last year and it had a tiny little GPS thing attached under the hood. He said it was because it had been financed that way and those companies require you to have that there incase they need to take the car back. I know it was probably already thought of and I don’t mean to be insulting, but is there ANY chance the car may have been outfitted with one at some point and it could still be located if you go thru the right avenues? The one on the truck still functioned. I think it was wired to the battery or motor or something.

This is tugging at my heartstrings. I was on a trip and on that very stretch of road about the same time that day. I pray that he turns up soon and safely.

Where is he? Where is his car? Has his girlfriend given any info? I am guessing she may have been the last to see him since they lived together... imo

Odd that the car is missing too, don't you think? Which makes me wonder if its in a body of water somewhere...

•Phone pinged Nov 13 in Columbus.
•And stayed in that location for 6 hours.

Did the phone move to a different location after those 6 hours, or did it stop pinging?

Family continues searching for missing 31-year-old Starkville man

His sister, Katie Hearn, and her father, Richard Baughn, conducted their own search during the weekend.

Their search team, 85-people-strong, searched for six hours and cleared a 4-mile zone of his last known location detected via phone ping.

Several local entities, including Starkville and Oktibbeha County law enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security, are working with the search.

Oktibbeha County emergency officials used a drone Monday morning to search the east Starkville area.

The Baughn family is originally from Lynn, Alabama, but Cory had just recently moved to Starkville for a job at Express Oil Change.

Hearn said her father was not expecting a visit from Cory on the 12th since it was in the middle of the week.

“Dad had understood on that Sunday conversation that Cory was just having a normal workweek. He didn’t mention anything about coming home to Dad’s,” said Hearn.

So if the dad wasn’t expecting a visit, then where are previous sources getting he was most likely heading to see him? Did this come from a family member, girlfriend?
