Randy Hariel, who is known to his friends and family by the name Bruce, has been missing since Jan. 11. The 37-year-old is a resident of Perkinston.

Hariel was last seen with an acquaintance. The two men were traveling in the friend’s white sedan. That vehicle was later found burned in Perkinston. The acquaintance has been interviewed but right now, the investigation remains a missing person case.

Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Parks and Fisheries were called in to help and are now assisting with the investigation.

Hariel is described as standing 5′9″ tall, weighing 170 pounds, and having brown hair and hazel eyes.

According to investigators with Stone County Sheriff’s Department, Hariel was last seen with an acquaintance. The two men were traveling in the friend’s white sedan. According to our media partner the Sun Herald and Stone County Sheriff’s Captain Ray Boggs, Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward for information that helps find 37-year-old Robert ‘Bruce’ Hariel.

Boggs says Hariel disappeared more than three weeks ago and has no car.

A week ago, a tip led to multiple searches in and around Black Creek in Perry County where Fairley Bridge Road crosses the river, but neither Hariel nor his remains were found.

Hariel is 5’9”, weighs 170 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Investigators in Stone County are fearing the worst as the search for a missing man nears four weeks.

Every lead so far has hit a dead end as the search for Robert Bruce Hariel intensifies.

“Do law enforcement assume something has happened to him? Yes," said Capt. Ray Boggs, chief investigator for the Stone County Sheriff’s Department.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $2,500 reward for any tip that helps authorities find Robert Bruce Hariel. The 37-year-old disappeared more than six weeks ago. Authorities believe there is little chance of finding him alive.

The lead investigator said his team has evidence and suspects in the case, but they still need what he calls a “final tip” from the community.

I would certainly imagine so! I am so glad to see there’s been movement on this case, was getting a little worried it’d go cold. Justice for Bruce !

I am anxious to hear more about this arrest. I listened to a podcast regarding another missing man from Purvis, MS and am curious if there are any overlaps in the personal circumstances of the missing men. Not necessarily linking the men but wondering about similar past experiences.

Yes, I've heard some stories. And from gathering the facts, and from the timeline, they seem to be true. They still haven't found Bruce, or any trace of him. I'm praying they do soon. Maybe he or they will confess, not only for Mr Hariels family to get some kind of closure, but for mine as well. I'm afraid if something doesn't happen soon, Chris will be out of jail with a slap on the wrist, and then finish what he started when he came out to Texas where I was at( to finish me off). Or worse ,hurt my daughter or grandchildren! The other guy is already out on bond.
