Brando's husband told CNN that he spent the night of Oct. 3 with a friend. He showed CNN texts between him and his wife on Oct. 3. At 10:33 p.m., the neighbor wrote to Brando that he loved her and their daughter and to kiss her goodnight. Brando responded at 10:54 p.m. that she and their daughter loved him too.

Samantha Brando, a next door neighbor in her 20s, came over to the Irwin house with her 4-year-old daughter. The daughter played with Lisa's half-brothers.

Bradley put Lisa in her crib about 6:40 p.m., while Brando headed to a store to purchase liquor for herself.

Brando returned to the Irwin home about 7 p.m. and sat on the front stoop with Bradley. The two smoked cigarettes, talked and drank.

I'll bet SB's got an attorney. Don't believe she was drunk. And, IMO, neither was DB.

Samantha has blogged about her relationship with JB. She fell for him in high school, pursued him without luck, he went away from KC. When he returned, she again pursued him successfully, got preggers, and later on they married.

I don't think I'm allowed to give the link on here.

It's been a rocky road for them.

What the He// is a "stoop" When I was a child and lived in Philadelphia, I heard that word a lot. It meant steps. So were did stoop come from?? Dumb word, dumb crime.....

"Stoop" is an old Dutch word for an outdoor staircase. It is a word used by New Yorkers to identify their front steps. It goes back to when NYC was Neu Amsterdam, a Dutch colony, in the 1600's.

So was the daughter still awake at 10:33 pm for SB to kiss her goodnight? Was this a reply text to one he received from her that night?

It is very interesting, and IMHO, possibly relevant to the disappeared cellphones.

The use of cell phones that are supposed to have no service and anything having to do with security such as overhearing baby monitors.

I don't know if it necessarily means she was awake. How would he know if she was asleep?

Yep, and the call made from a supposedly restricted phone. Neighbor's hubby is definitely on my radar now, everything fits. JMO

When I first heard about the baby monitor I wondered about someone close with the know how listening to what was going on.

So SB had her phone that night, obviously. If DB's phones did not work at all, she would have used SB's phone, I would assume, to make any calls she needed to that night. If a call was made from 8:30 pm to MW's phone from one of those "stolen" phones, my strong belief is that DB placed the call. SB did not make that call since she had her own phone that night to send and receive texts from her husband. JMO

It would be pretty hard to convince me the cops are done with this guy.

He may have assisted in the coverup.

What does he look like? Does he resemble the tall salt-and-pepper haired man carrying a baby?

At the beginning of this case I thought the LE spokesman was speaking in code to someone that had called in a tip to them and they could not trace it back. They kept saying just waiting for the next great idea or suggestion to come in. Not the normal tip speak.

I once picked up my landline phone and heard my neighbor making a flight reservation giving out his CC# and all. I was having flashbacks from my childhood of having neighbors on a party line! LOL

Thank you Pinkhammer, When I was growing up in the NY/NJ area, my mom and dad always called our front steps..."the stoop".

the van said "all current electric" on the side of it and was parked in the 3620 north lister driveway and also reported as having been examined by police

here is a picture of it:

If this really was a 'side job' that he was on I would think he would have used the family car to go to work. That is unless he did use the company car unauthorized and that could partially explain the 'deer in the headlights' look we saw - busted!
