This case has drawn the attention it has because Lisa is an adorable blonde, blue eyed baby like so many American children. She is easy to relate to as many people have/had a baby similiar to her in their life.

The benefactor is one of the large television networks or why would JT and BS have been pulled in? IMO. If it were really a family benefactor concerned with their family members, these two would not have been the ones chosen.
Look at the Lauren Spierer case, all the wealthy POI's got local defense attorneys, the best and most expensive ones, yet local. There has to be fantastic top-of-the-line defense attorneys and Private Investigators in the local area. Even PR teams if needed.

Why go to NY? One simple answer - the network hires you, the network has power over you! Sad, but true.

Under that article is a statement from JI and DB:

Statement from baby Lisa's parents: After hearing there was a press conference and listening to Mrs. Short's statement we are further convinced that we made the correct decision. One of the reasons we relieved Mrs. Short was because she was holding her own press conferences, making statements to the media, and giving tours of the home that we were finding out about after the fact. Moreover, we learned the FBI felt Mrs. Short wasn't being productive in the relationship between the family and the agency.

We want the focus to remain where it should always have been which is on the search for Lisa. Mr Tacopina has secured very prestigious local lawyers to join the team representing the family.

We will not be answering any further question at this time regarding Mrs. Short.

Jane is reporting that the call at 8:00 ish was the same time the baby Lisa was stolen. That info is not correct.

Wish we could go back to Mary H. who saw MW and Jersey often. She talked to Jersey enough to describe him. Mary H.'s property so near the dumpster fire. What would she say to describe MW?

I never was clear about the phone her father gave her. Was it a prepaid or on the same service as the other two?

I only caught the tail end of it as they were all talking over each other but did JVM or one of her guests just say that MW was selling a GPS unit and undercover agents responded to 'buy' it from her then questioned her for 6 hrs? Im just not real sure I heard that lol.
