BBMThese are my thoughts:
When someone calls 911, they are in fear. Was her boyfriend in fear? He is much larger than her. It seems strange to me that he said she was specifically “headed toward the river”. Where are the entrances to the house? Does the front or back door face the river? If he was watching her out the window, it was very dark, are there lights that are bright he’d be able to see her?
911 is used when there is an actual emergency. He is a surgeon, she is a respected OR nurse. I’d like to know if the assault on him was extremely serious that would warrant that kind of call.
IMHO nothing about this sounds right, and it could be the news reporting very limited information. Really wish we had more details.

John told us there were no serious injuries, but wouldn't go into details.
