I mean, we had snow. But how many footprints are there going to be from his house to the river?

I'm not local - I looked it up using a past weather website it said that between 6pm and midnight high was 39 and the low was 37. It was cloudy, no mention of snow on that day.

Assuming the website is correct, I'm not sure we can count on clear tracks in snow. Moo

It bothered me that the website didn't have the whole day, so I looked it up again. Apparently, the high around 3pm was about 50 degrees. This data shows the high after 6pm at over 40, so it's not an exact match to the other website.

Nobody knows what happened, but I suspect the fact that Amy's boyfriend is a surgeon, reasonably wealthy, and likely a well respected member of an isolated community probably puts a damper on any irresponsible and sensationalist reporting, as well as LE updates.

But yes, I find it odd. I think if Amy went missing in my area, there would be a lightning bolt of media coverage.

I think it’s VERY bizarre! Where are her friends? Her kids’ father? Her mom? Siblings? The boyfriend?! It’s like nobody cares. I’m kind of dumbfounded.

So yes, the case has gone silent. If this was a trailer park incident, we might hear a lot more about it since nobody is going to complain or contemplate legal action.

But if there are no conflicting connections between a potential suspect and LE or the media, I have a lot of confidence that LE is all over the case behind the scenes, quietly. It's their job, and they take pride in in what they do.

I really hope this gets resolved accurately, what ever result that may be.

Normally in these cases there are videos from family members and friends, asking the public for help. That is why this case is so bizarre, there is none of that going on.

Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter NEVER speaks in vague terms. He knows the law forward and backward, and seeks only to enforce it, never to interpret it. When he uses a law term like “assault”, even in a news conference; he is using it strictly as it is written, in the Montana Code Annotated 2019. IMO

Not sure what you are saying. Are you saying her friends & family are quiet because of his status or LE is not doing their job or do you mean something else?

There is a FB page for Amy (Amy Harding Missing). Initially, people were allowed to post but as soon as some started to speculate, the comments were shut off by admin.
It is now a public page for announcements only.
IMO, LE is keeping all information under wraps in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
