Prosecutors release grisly details in 12-year-old boy's torture death

The neighbor told detectives that Sasser III then dragged Alex back to the house “as fast as he could” and punched Alex in the face periodically. The person said the aunt and Batts watched Sasser III beat on Alex and did nothing to stop Sasser III."

I cant remember where I read it, but I believe the 6 yr old may have been ordered to spray Alex, (with the mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water in a spray bottle). I thought that Gage Roush had a hearing today, Monday, March 9, 2020. But I haven't seen anything in the news.

His charge is something like, Abuse of a Child. Only $50,000 bail, and he is still in the detention center.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — The grandmother accused of torturing and killing her grandson in her West Yellowstone is facing new charges.

Gallatin County prosecutors filed new charges Thursday against Patricia Batts, who is accused of playing a role in the torture and killing of James Alex Hurley, 12.

Batts faces new charges of kidnapping, child endangerment and strangulation. These are in addition to the deliberate homicide charge filed in February.

Court records show all the defendants on cellphone video abusing Hurley.

Documents also revealed Hurley’s grandparents were receiving their deceased son’s Social Security checks. Hurley was entitled to that money, according to detectives.

Not sure about his family connections... but since his grandma and girlfriend were so broken up and tearful for him in the interview --maybe they should come up with the cash ?
Grandma said she hoped this would be a turning point for Gage and that he can grow up.

Seriously I could never defend and 'cry' for someone who helped abuse an innocent boy and who said nothing when he was murdered.

I don't have any grandchildren, but my Mother absolutely loves and dotes on my kids. She is definitely a "Tiger Grandma".

If they didn't want JAH, there were plenty of options for getting rid of him. But, of course, they would not have been able to keep the Social Security benefits.

According to previous posts/articles, she let him go live with his father to "get to know him" and after the father passed away, the grandparents refused to the mom have any contact whatsoever.
