Found Deceased MT - Jennifer Coleman, 34, on vacation from VA, hiking @ Glacier Natl Park, 30 Aug 2021

Yeah. Cell service is spotty in that area, even outside of the park. If people are going to go hiking alone, they should stay on easy trails, that have cell coverage. Lots of trails in Montana that meet that criteria, Mount Helena is one area, it is not a National Park, but much safer for single hikers. And there are challenging trails.

I wish I knew of a place near that could put drones up to look for her.
SAR is probably already using drones. Non-SAR searchers won't be allowed in that area. Family and friends DEFINITELY have to stay clear, because they may carry the missing hiker's aroma and will thereby confound search dogs.
There's a reason for the precautions and prohibitions....Look at this article on Kent MI SAR: It gives an overview on why to stay clear of the search area when there's a missing hiker.

Is it possible to get turned around and lost on these trails?
I would think that's possible on any trail. Hikers on the AT get turned around all the time. They take a break, maybe hang out at a shelter or get water, and go south instead of north or vice versa. And that's about the simplest trail you could use! So, yes, it will be easy to go wrong in Glacier Park.
Equipment needed for orientation: compass, paper map, PLB, and a GPS of some kind. And you have to know how to use them.

Need all the help we can get. Jen is my fiancé’s best friend. We are in richmond Virginia and are trying to help. She wouldn’t have left the dogs. She loves animals. I fear she is lost or injured. We just need people looking for her. The park service has done a great job but I would ask for any help that we can get.
Actually, searchers would almost certainly not be welcome. In fact, they might even get a ticket. Check with LE. It's imperative to let SAR do their jobs. They will specifically request non-SAR volunteers if they need them in the field.

I have hiked both trails to completion and think if she went Dragons, that she will be found via a fall...
My heart goes out to the family. My family owns property bordering the west side of the park, my older brother is currently there now. I've reached out to him but haven't heard back. Trying to get an idea of what it was like weather wise at the time she went missing from him verse a weather report. He and I have both spent a lot of time on Logan's pass.
Today being the 4th of September makes my heart feel heavy for her family.

Imo

Richmond woman who grew up in Roanoke is missing in Montana

Jennifer Coleman was believed to be hiking Monday or Tuesday in Glacier when she was last heard from. Her car was later found at a trailhead, and her belongings were discovered undisturbed at her campsite.

Jennifer Coleman attended high school at North Cross School and graduated from Virginia Tech before earning a law degree at the University of Richmond. Coleman’s LinkedIn profile says she is a Director of Compliance and Enforcement at the Virginia Department of Health. On-line records say Coleman’s parents live in the Hidden Valley area of Roanoke County. Her father is listed as Treasurer of the Aware Foundation of Virginia, and its Facebook page says park rangers and a helicopter are searching for Jennifer.
Smart, pretty and she loves dogs....praying for a miracle here.

So her car is parked at the Highline Trail Trailhead, and they think she is in the Logan Pass area? Was her campsite in that area? I wonder why they say Logan Pass? I know Highline continues to Logan Pass, just not sure why they think she went that far; it shows ~4.7 mi from Highline Trailhead to start of Logan Pass.

Just catching up, trying to get a fix on locations. Was she parked at Logan's Pass, or at Granite Park Chalet? Did she camp at Granite Park Campground?

"Jennifer sent the text [on August 30] from Highline Trail/Logan Pass to Granite Park Chalet in Montana," according to an email from the AWARE Foundation. "She was to pick up her dogs from a boarding facility the following day, but never showed to get them. A welfare check was done at her campsite by the local sheriff’s office, where they discovered her belongings at the site. Her vehicle was located in the parking lot for the Highline Trail."

Is this the general understanding - that she parked at Logans Pass, hiked to Granite Park Chalet, presumably camped at Granite Park Campground, her equipment is at the campground, and from there she vanished?

"The Aware Foundation also said that Coleman was last heard from via text on August 30 at around 11:57 a.m. from Highline Trail/Logan Pass to Granite Park Chalet."

I'm local so thought I'd post here. First, the Highline trail starts at Logan Pass. If you day hike it there are 2 ways to get back to your car. One, you can hike as far as you want and retrace your route. Most people go either to Haystack Butte (about 6 mi r/t) or to Granite Park Chalet (about 15 mi r/t). There is also the option of taking a steep side trail to the Grinnell Glacier overlook which would make the trip about 17 miles. I mention this side trail because there is a significant drop-off at the top.
From the chalet, you can instead take the Loop Trail down to the road (the place where the newlywed pushed her husband) but you don't come out at Logan Pass. This makes the hike shorter (about 11 miles) but you'd have to get on a shuttle or hitchhike back up the road to the Pass.
Literally hundreds of people hike the Highline every day in the summer. It would be very hard to fall, get lost, or encounter a bear without someone finding you quickly. There was a man missing on this trail 2 years ago, but it is widely thought to be a suicide situation. If you scrambled off the trail for some reason, and couldn't yell for help, you'd be a lot harder to find, but the trail itself mostly traverses open areas.
There is no cell service at Logan Pass. However you can get it sometimes at the chalet or encounter a random signal if you are high up.
If Jenn took the Dragons Tail route instead, she would have encountered many people on the first part of the trail that is on the Hidden Lake trail. I don't think she would have gotten lost per se on Dragons Tail but perhaps off route. I wonder also if she decided to continue down to Hidden Lake instead. I know all these areas are being checked. The weather has been good, cold at night and sunny during the day.
IMO.
Hope she is found OK.

She parked at Logan's Pass on Aug 30.

"Coleman is believed to have been hiking around Logan Pass on August 30 or August 31. Glacier National Park spokesperson Gina Kerzman tells MTN News that park rangers found her car in the Logan Pass parking lot, but they are not sure where Coleman went hiking."

She didn't return to her campsite. She intended to pick up the dogs o Aug 31. I suppose that means she hiked to Granite Campground, set up camp, then decided on a nearby hike.

Hmmm? This article from 9/2 says the car was found in the parking lot for the Highline Trail? I wonder if the parking lot for Highline Trail and Logan Pass are one in the same, or there is an error in reporting?

She must have taken a day trail somewhere around the campsite. It seems like something happened on Aug 30 after she set up camp. If she disappeared on Aug 31, she would have had her gear with her as she hiked back to her car at Logans Pass.
