Muslims attack "gay" model in Amsterdam!

Perhaps not, but it is easy and human to paint with broad strokes.

Well, good on ya. The step to recovery is recognizing you have a problem.

so, are we still ordered by martial law to 'celebrate diversity'?? or is it OK yet to let our feelings be known without being sent to jail.. or being killed by an angry, rock-throwing mob...??

I don't think you do undertstand at all. You hear or read that and run with it becuase - I dunno.

Radical Islamists are waging war on the infidels. And the "infidels" are fighting back.

I'm unclear as to what you think it is I don't understand.:waitasec: I am aware that some Muslim extremists hate the US and that many in the US want to fight back. Are there people not aware of that?

I simply thought the headline was interesting, and I think Karole made a good point about white supremacists identifying themselves racially before religiously.

Colour me cynical Jeana but isn't that the case with all candidates?

I don't think he's a Muslim plant either, but I'd like to know who's plant he is because SOMEONE is running that show and it ain't him.

Actually it's not meant to be permitted by their own law but there's a double standard there and of course since the Sharia legal system only has male judges women lose out.

Then there's a hell of a lot of chit not permitted by their own laws that they're getting away with, aren't they? Does that make it all better for you that that its "not permitted." These women are still facing these punishments for it.

I've got an idea - how's this: Let's try to figure out a way to make it stop.

I think we usually know who the someone behind the candidates is though. Not this dude. It wasn't the democrats that's for sure. Hill was their girl. Someone slipped Obama by the Dems.

Well since you're doing it you might try to break that habit ;)

I am uncertain how I am doing it in this discussion.

I with you there. But I have a feeling that the women of the Middle East are independently moving toward a women's lib movement of their own - slowly but surely.

How do you explain the multiple wives and sex slaves mentioned in the Koran?

Women in Jordan who are thought to have "dishonored" their family have been beaten, shot, or stabbed to death by their male family members. The Jordanian penal code condones these killings by providing the perpetrators of these crimes with reduced sentencing under the law. In Jordan, judges often inappropriately apply a "fit of fury" defense in "honor" crimes cases, even when the murder was clearly premeditated.

they're taking too damn long.

I wish they'd hurry the hell up. And, I wish I could help.

Seriously.

Yes and that's exactly the point where mainstream and radical Muslims diverge.

As I understand it the Sharia laws are interpreted by the judges in ways that are not always in accordance with the written law, thus you get the ridiculous statements that there are no gays in Iran and the like.

The only way to stop extremists is to get as much truthful knowledge about the fallacies they're preaching out there and to support their opponents who speak for tolerance and human tights.

Then there's a hell of a lot of chit not permitted by their own laws that they're getting away with, aren't they? Does that make it all better for you that that its "not permitted." These women are still facing these punishments for it.

I understand that lots of US folks here are super scared on Muslims since 9/11.

I understand that because I know lots of folks who are. I also know folks who aren't, myself included.

I guess I could get your point if I had posted that we're all shivering in our shoes since 9/11, but that was surely not what I said.
