I could see more of a resemblance between Jane and Lucie than Guy and Jock. But, Lucie has a surgical scar and I think it was stated that Jane had no scars.
I just didn't see a resemblance, but I don't always trust my opinion.

Wow, when it rains it pours! Incredible work by DNA Doe Project. I've followed this case for over 25 years and always hoped they would be identified.

I knew about them a long time ago, but an article in a Toronto newspaper about 15 years ago kickstarted my obsession with them again.

I wonder whether we are going to be surprised if they are people who we have offered up as matches in the past and passed on to LE in Canada and the US with no answers.

I heard it could be a Quebecer (the male) but not partner of Lucie G. We will find out soon.

I hope their families get some measure of peace knowing their loved ones have been identified but the manner in which they died is something no one would be able to accept without a weight of horror and despair.

Edited to correctly identify DNA Doe Project for the result. Apologies.

This really is incredibly good news - and I was reading about the case again only a week ago!

Hopefully the person(s) who killed them is still alive and caught.

DNA Doe Project worked this case, not Othram. They did have a case announced today though - that of Pecos Jane Doe.

Incredible work by Othram.
It was DNA Doe Project that discovered the couple's identities, I'm not sure if Othram was involved in solving this case.

After not thinking about this case for years, I actually had a dream a couple weeks ago where it was announced that these two had been identified. Over the moon with this news! I hope their names and pre-mortem photos are released.

Mystery couple's NamUs profiles are still up, I wonder why? Is it possible the reason is their families weren't notified yet?

We were not involved and know nothing of the case. We did announce Pecos Jane Doe today.

Not involved but congratulations to whoever was! Hope identities and the story are shared soon!

May the persons responsible face justice and that their families find the resolution that they deserve.

Now, they’ll finally rest after all these years.

So what exactly does the Facebook announcement say? Did a local newspaper contact the investigators and get their identities?
