Years back, NamUs case files provided dental information, and indicated whether or not DNA was in CODIS. The Doe Network provides DNA information on the cases they have listed but does anyone know why NamUs made this information now private? Time could be saved researching these cases by knowing if DNA is already in CODIS.

Ive never seen a direct answer from NamUs about this, id recommend reaching out to your Regional NamUs staff.

This is what they said:

“Available” did not always mean full biometric data was available for comparison or exclusion purposes. The feature was removed in 2018 with database upgrades to allow staff to properly review comparisons.
