But now my hinky meter is going off. If RK was just in the woods, saw a garbage bag, WHY would he feel the need to report garbage? Unless he was tipped off (as LP suggested). And he wanted a body to be found. I mean, if he only pointed out a garbage bag in the water, what would make the cop or anybody else suspicious. Did RK see something "white" at this time??? Did he smell something??? I mean, WHY did he want the cop to go in the water to get a garbage bag?????
Because the garbage bag was close to the Anthony home.

He probably didn't realize how many garbage bags, dead raccoons in holes, dog bones and assorted clothes the cops were called to inspect and report.

Haha, if the person was from NYC I can understand. Things are just a little "different" here - everything moves faster, everyone is always running. The most notable thing I think is we (apparently) walk faster - I visit a friend in Durhamn, NC, and she always asks if I'm racing.

But its really not an impolite place. Friends visit and are "amazed" that men will hold open doors, EVERYONE will give you directions. Its just a little intimidating I think.

But RR is right, come visit! :blowkiss:

OT: Sorry -- my dd goes to school in NYC and is home (here in lower Alabama..or LA - the redneck riviera as we call it) and she can't WAIT to go back home as she calls NYC. She loves it.

What I don't get is why a P.I. would respond to a call from a psychic who had a vision at 3 a.m. with a shovel and prod and actually go OUT and DIG. Baez wouldn't even pick up the thousands of such calls LE from equally earnest and "sure" psychics.

JMO

 Precisely! Exactly!! Spot on!

Respectfully snipped.

LE: still has hope the boy can be found alive. NG: the boy has the mind of a two year old, he can't fend for himself. Mark Klass: The concept of being lost doesn't even kick in till around the age of 3.

This makes my stomach drop....my son [avitar] has mental retardation with autism. He does not understand danger, does not come back when called and wanders, even in the dark  He is seven years old functioning verbally around 18months.That's why we have Fred [siggie].He tracks amongst other wonderful duties.
I pray they can find this child. Please God.

Nancy is actually a "southern belle" from Georgia!!! Us southern gals can bite if need be. The sugar and sweet is a cover!!

Yes. People think it's charm. Hardly.

 That is a very plausible theory. My ex used to sit his scanner by his easy chair at night as it would pick up police/utility stuff depending on which channel he had it on. On a certain channel he could pick up cell phone calls from people driving down the street. Wowsers..

It's illegal to listen in on cellular phone calls. So if a neighbor of the Anthonys were to have done so and acquired information, it would be smart of them to pass the information onto another person to act upon it (collect reward, split later).

Hi, all. I wasn't able to watch the show.

Who brought up the topic of LA and immunity first--NG, LP, or _______?

Now factor in the fact that Kronk's supervisor is a neighbor of the Anthonys. Presto, "we" computes.

I have one of those scanners; got it for approx. $90 at Radio Shack about 10 years ago. Problem with this theory is; cell phones were on (I forget the specifics, but if it turns out to be important I can drag out my files for the numbers), say, frequencies 890.00 to 893.065, or some such. Higher and lower freqs were for ambulance, fire, etc, which I wasn't interested in. I had no life back in those days, not like now fiendishly following every moment in this case on my laptop... so I scanned the cell frequencies, had my scanner set on a rotate cycle to go round and round on this narrow band. If the scanner caught a live channel it'd lock there, until I manually clicked it to go on. If a call was a "good one" I listened, um, yes, eavesdropped. I did enough legal searching to know the FCC considers cell calls to be a transmission, not a broadcast, so it's not for my consumption, so I kept most of this pretty close to the vest, if Ya know what I mean. But I did hear some pretty good juicy stuff, so and so arranging trysts with somebody else's wife, and even heard my dentist hooking up with my ex-husband's current girlfriend!! WooHoo! ahem. BUT since that time, cell phone companies have switched from analog to digital, or maybe v/v, and my scanner doesn't pick up nothin' anymore. Now, that's not to say there can't be later greater ones that do!

It was in NG's opening promo for tonight's program. That LA's attorney is asking for "criminal immunity." It was stated that there's possible charges of obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting.

I know people who do this as a hobby. Radio shack sells these scanners, larger types for home or handheld to travel with, but you have to know certain coordinates, that will pick up police/fire conversations & cordless phones, & cell phones, which can be heard quite a distance away, cell phones up to 30 miles with the 800 band coordinates. After hearing for myself, I have never relayed important infromation over a cordless or cell phone. I use a land line....but how many people these days use land lines. As an ex-Bounty Hunter, (13) yrs, I could imagine him being very adept with scanners. Caylee's birthday, Aug 9th....RK calls Aug 11th...PI Aug 13th:waitasec::waitasec:

Noticed your service dog info. Would have been great if this poor child had one, might help find him. Very sad, how afraid he must be, and his family has got to be falling apart.

It is not illegal to own such a scanner. It is illegal to in on another persons phone call.

(not wise to do)

Thanks, Leila. I did not see anything in the news today from Luka so had to wonder.

Hi Jolynna, I understand that as the MR was not a Fl nati*e, only there less than a year I think. Oh, he mo*ed to Fl a couple of weeks before Caylee went missing. In May I think. xox

Now that you've got your lumber mill and Frank's money, you won't come to me as you did to the jail, so I see I shall have to marry you.

I totally understand. My youngest daughter is 15 with the mind of a 4-5 year old. She also has very little if any concept of danger, not scared of anything or anyone. When she was three, she got up at 3 a.m. and went outside to play. I just happened to hear the dog barking because he had come in the house when she went out. We had to put deadbolts and chain locks at the top of every door in the house. This child is in so much danger. This is a horrible tragedy. I too pray for this little boy and his family.
