Even if they can't prove cause of death, finding the body is VERY helpful to LE. It proves Caylee is dead and not kidnapped. You add the proof that she is deceased with all the other info and a conviction is much easier to get. There would be no doubt she is dead.
Yes it definitely does eliminate the defense that she's still out there somewhere with "Zanny". And since there's no evidence that "Zanny" even exists, it all points back to Casey. MOO

Have a good night everybody!

Even if a 2 year old baby, a member of your family was missing?
Your response just gave me a flashback to the Polly Klass case...Mark was all over LE to take a pollygraph ASAP in order to rule himself and anyone close to Polly out so they could consentrate on finding his daughter.
NO QUESTION, I would do the same.

Like what reason would you be worried about possibly...cloning? LMAO...:blowkiss:

Honestly, I don't even know, but with the luck I've had lately my DNA would match that of some serial killer or something.

I think Lee started out being very cooperative with LE but when they refused to talk to Cindy or do anything about the protesters I think he started getting a little hot under the collar. I think, like any son would, he had a very difficult time seeing the protesters yell foul things to Cindy. My sons would have went OFF big time if they'd seen me treated that way. I hate to even imagine it. I think Lee feels LE didn't work with the family, so he's not going to work with them.

Lee's DNA is not going to do a thing to help find Caylee.

I dont think Lee is the father! I think he knows something or may have helped Casey and thats why he wont give dna or a lie detector.
What I found most interesting tonight on NG is how the therapist said Casey got rid of Caylee, and went on a shopping spree cause she was mad she couldnt go to Puerto Rico, and jealous of Caylees attenteon by her parents, and now she was celebrating having everything and no Caylee.
Shows even more how self absorbed Casey is!

Personally, I would give anyone anything they wanted...DNA, polygraph..you name it. I can't honestly think of one reason I would hold anything back that they asked for to aid in the investigation..and I wouldn't make anyone do anything the hard way just to be jerky.

I would do that. I also would freely give my DNA to identify my child or grandchild. But in a situation where time is not of the essence, I 'd ask for a warrant for my own protection.

I would be BEGGING them to take my DNA, give me a polygraph, whatever they wanted.

Actually, there was an article on then net not too long ago discussing concerns that not enough markers were being used when running through large DNA databases for random matches. Seems we're a bit less unique than first thought. I don't recall who published.

KC refusing to go before Grand Jury!

She does not have to. Most defense attorneys won't let the defendant testify before the GJ if they can avoid it.

LOL at you and your DNA...

I noticed LA, getting silent right after the DNA "rumors" b/c that is what they were at the time, started swirling about the trunk. I do think Lee is playing "tit for tat" with LE, just as I think the same thing with JB & KC. I think they all are two(or three) peas in a pod.

I have never agreed with the actions of some of those protesters..it was a Jerry Springer show out there. I agree(shockingly!) that it was probably not fun for LA to see his parents shouted and cursed at. I also think it was probably hard to listen to both parents lashing out like maniacs at the media as well.

HHHEEEELLLLLLOOOOO!! Does anyone know the answer to this question? Thanking you in advancE.....

2) It is unlawful for any person knowingly to publish, broadcast, disclose, divulge, or communicate to any other person, or knowingly to cause or permit to be published, broadcast, disclosed, divulged, or communicated to any other person, in any manner whatsoever, any testimony of a witness examined before the grand jury, or the content, gist, or import thereof,....

There are limited exceptions, per chapter 905.27 Fl Statutes.:blowkiss:

The law really does attempt to maintain the integrity and secrecy of this proceeding.:)

Under those circumstances, I would only be worried about my own protection if I were guilty of something.

Maybe not, but it could very well help determine Caylee's KILLER.

Possibly, and LE has it so I don't see the problem. Everyone got what they wanted.

I would be begging them to do it so they could get busy.

Lee's DNA is not going to do a thing to help find Caylee.

Maybe not, but it could preclude that he wasn't the killer..maybe they found something of interest and they want to rule him out? I guess anything is possible at this point.

I don't see it quite the same way (surprise! LOL). If LE wanted my DNA I think I'd want a warrant saying exactly what they wanted it for so that they couldn't use it for any other reason.

If you give it willingly you can denote what it can be used for. If they get a warrant they can do anything they want with it. I can guarantee you they have already run it though all their open crimes databases.
