Could we have gotten the statement from somewhere other than Simon's interview? I know many have said the same but I usually don't get things like that mixed up. Oh well, this has been a crazy case and sure to get crazier before it is all over with. Maybe I need to step away from it for a while but I am afraid if I do something major will happen.

I've racked my brain trying to remember where that statement came from and still haven't figured it out. Might have been some media person who got it wrong and we all just ran with it. If you come up with the answer, please let me know.

He gave it to Cindy, and she handed it over to the little "mother of the year" to deposit for them.

She probably said she'd drop it off at the bank on her way to work.

Casey says she got his info that way, yes, but I am not sure I buy it. Call me cynical.
I believe it was Jose who told George it is the way she got his information, not Casey.

Sorry, if I did not make myself clear. I was responding to you responding to how did KC get JB's name. Me....just wondering if he had went to the same school as KC would she have known him because he is so much older than she is. sorry it I caused some misunderstanding.

LOL this is geting funny. I said JB's daughter CB, but as I posted I can't find her going to Colonial. It was brought up here before and *someone* alluded that she went to Colonial.

I just can't get my mind around this family at all. If you believe your daughter is responsible for your granddaughter's death, why continue to cover up for her when all she does is lie to everybody about it? I'm  and  !!

It doesn't make any sense, no. "In a backwards kind of way" if they admit Casey is responsible for Caylee's death then they must admit that Caylee is dead. Therefore, they must believe that she has other reasons for lying. You can see it in Cindy's interviews where she keeps talking nonsense about people involved in drugs and money. Then George states that it will kill his wife. I believe he goes along with it for Cindy's sake.

IDK Chilly, the way it's worded seems different to me. Simon starts saying when GA opened the door and the stench came out his heart dropped because GA had been telling him, his grandaughter's missing.
That is the way I remember that statement initially, too...except he included it to be his daughter and granddaughter were missing.

I believe this came from the statement of the woman working the counter at the tow company tho and what she was told, IIRC. Did she do an interview on camera with a media outlet? Greta maybe when Mark F. was there?

I know that I read this somewhere..not saying I can't be wrong but jeesh how do so many of us recall the same statement being made. I think I'm going digging lol.

Lordy, there is that "backwards" kind of thing again with this family. Aren't they ever just straight forward thinking people?!

GA's interview says he knows. He says CA knows. Then he goes into this pretend mode where she retorts that it is the pizza and he agrees. She knows damn well it isn't pizza and so does he. This is "husband George" coming out to cover for his wife to LE for pretending to believe it. She never believed it, imo.

They have known since the day they picked up the car and maybe long before.

In Nicole's statement she says that George and Cindy said they hadn't seen their daughter for a month, but I think she remembered wrong and they actually meant they hadn't seen Caylee. Regardless, she doesn't say anything about Casey being found.

I think the A's are covering up because they think Casey HAS done something that would earn her the death penalty.

It is pretty plain from George's interview he and Cindy feel Casey is capable. After hearing George's interview, I think C & G thought the worst right after they smelled the car and found out Casey didn't have Caylee.

I don't think George and Cindy are fighting because they think Casey DOESN'T deserve the DP. I think they think she does. Even if they hate Casey, they are afraid for her. Caylee is gone and beyond saving. Whatever she has done, Casey is also the Anthony's baby.

IMO

You fingered what was gnawing at me.

(I'd writen a longer reply but got kicked off before it posted than couldn't remember thread etc. It's a darn hard forum to do a search on LOL)

Thanks for the link. I reread and it is hard to say for sure what GA may have said to Simon exactly. He uses both haven't seen and missing. He does say that GA says that his daughter has been lying.

I don't know if this is where I got what I said or not. I would not have interpreted what Simon said that way.

I know that I read somewhere that GA said that they had found KC but that Caylee was missing but maybe it was just something that someone of the board said.

Oh well, even perfect people are wrong sometimes.....j/k.

does anyone else remember it the way that I do that GA said they had found KC but that either Caylee was missing or that hadn't see her?

Oh....I think it was the woman that worked in the office that told investigators that she overheard George telling Simon that while she was having her cigarette.

Actually, that's not the important issue. People have questioned why George told Simon that Casey had been found when she hadn't actually been 'found' yet, and hinted that it showed George was involved in some kind of cover-up. George never said a word to Simon about Casey being either missing or found.

If you look back to the doc dump dated 9/1/08 (page 316) in Incident Report 08-69208, paragraph nine, narrative states "As they walked, GA mentioned to Mr. Birch his daughter had been missing for a while, now she will not allow him to see his granddaughter.." Hope that helps clarify where that came from.

I thought it was from her. Thanks. (But I recall watching her talk about it...again...on Greta?)

Thanks, but it doesn't really help. What we're looking for is where George supposedly said that Casey had been found - meaning that he somehow knew in advance that Cindy would locate Casey later that afternoon.

Did or didn't the Anthonys clean out the Sunfire's trunk? So if the did, maybe they washed the stain out, or at least tried to.

Chilly, with all due respect, read what the narrative says "His daughter had been missing for a while and now will not allow him to see his granddaghter." Doesn't that indicate to you that she is no longer missing? It is clear as day to me.

And their finances are "in the toilet" according to George, but Cindy's just fine with letting Casey get away with stealing $4,000 from them? Totally unreal.

S'funny. That they also didn't ever make her pay the money back from the proceeds of her "job". The whole thing is hinky in that they didn't pay attention or seem to care *that* much. KC just made it into a drama and they backed off -- at their cost.

In my youth we had to hand over a portion of our wages while living at home as 'keep', both to contribute and also to learn responsibility.

Exactly. It seems like they found it easier to play along than to confront her.
From the phone call from jail, and the incident on June 24th, it isn't an easy thing to confront her. She has absolutely zero respect for her parents. I have said before that she probably made their lives a living hell for a long time, and that they were fearful of her. With all they are going through, they both look so much more relaxed since she has been back in jail, and they haven't visited her.
