Yes. This is what I was getting at earlier. I believe that , sometime along the way, they had to have realized how dangerous KC was becoming. They chose to play along with her lies instead of confront them for SOME reason. And I think they must have realized that she could become dangerous.
I have a 2 year old granddaughter and my son is 20. Say he had been calling me regularly but had I not spoken to my granddaughter(which by the way would NEVER happen 1)because would I go track her down myself and 2) my son is NOTHING like KC) for weeks. Then I get a letter from the towyard to pick up abandoned car. Before getting to towyard, myself or my husband has talked to my son and he explains that he ran out of gas but everything is okay. I get to towyard and car really stinks horribly. I do not believe that the first thing I would think would be "God I hope that smell isn't my grandbaby." Because I KNOW MY son, I would probably simply think, "Good grief this car reeks, wonder what that smell is." The Anthony's also KNOW THEIR daughter, and the first thing that came to mind is that their granddaughter could possibly be dead and the source of the smell. That shows me that they had to know how bad the situation with KC was and what she was capable of . Sorry so long.
I see your point. Parents know their children and what they are capable of doing. Don't they?
