Brini, I am actually sorry to here you had the ordeal of meeting her. I never have and never want to meet her. Seeing her lie on Larry King Live with such a straight face reminded me of...well, I think you know who. She doesn't have any morals, but I would have to say that Casey has even less! And that has nothing to do with the case....just the pictures I have seen and the friends who have given statements.

Lemme see.. shallow, unintelligent, promiscuous, no work ethic, entitled, enabled...

Yep! They DO have a lot in common. But, Paris hasn't stolen or killed, as far as I know.

I can't believe it....

They have no shame!

And they wonder why there' protesters on their lawn.
I'd be protesting if I were there - and the protesters aren't on their lawn, even though the Anthonys want you to believe that. That is why the police won't arrest them - the protesters are not doing anything illegal. However, pushing and shoving protesters not on your property is illegal, but then, as I said, the Anthonys don't think the rule apply to them.

If they would ignore teh protestors and put some of their energy into crracking Casey, we might get some answers even though I think they'd hide anything about Caylee to protect Casey.

Wow, why would they refuse unless they had something to hide???

Huh...maybe if they paid them a whole buncha money & gave them a free T'shirt they MIGHT? These people are beyond &^%%## :behindbar

I LOVE the NG Thread (s) commentary...its the BEST :blowkiss:

I would protest too Gaia

It's thinking like this that is causing her to become the celebrity that she has become.

I respectfully disagree....Casey is NOT a celebrity. She is notorious and or infamous, not celebrated.

They are two very different things.

This will also dawn on Casey sooner than later. She is a pariah.

We have gone way off discussing the show here. Anything else that we need to tackle from NG tonight?

  • #467
Actually both, in how the charges are brought, and how the sentences are given out.

The DA can ask for anything he wants but ultimately it's the Judge who decides her sentence. It would also be completely unethical & illegal of the Judge to issue a harsh sentence because the Prosecutor has suspicions that Casey is a murderer.

LP said that Lee became "very agitated" when lie detector was requested.........

Vader..afraid of questions.what kind of questions under oath could be so scary for "Lee" ?

  • #469
I would like to hear from any searchers here or any in the know more about the searches being called off... know anything or gut feeling?

  • #470
They wouldn't. Notice how people like John Walsh and Marc Klaas jumped up and demanded to take lie detector tests. Look at Amber Frey taking one. Scott Peterson did not. If there was any doubt, they'd take it. Major skeletons in this families closet methinks.

I think it's a safe bet they're hiding a lot! If George, Cindy, and Lee had no culpability they would have no reason not to take a polygraph.

  • #471
They are not trying them all together tho. That's a good thing, I think.s

They may charge her separately, but when it eventually rolls around for trial, I think they would probably consolidate similar crimes so that they don't have 20 separate trials. I hope they do pile it on with separate trials and consecutive sentences...the more the merrier!

The Lie Detector refusals.........Oh but I think that one may deserve its own thread?

You SS?

Wonder if they are under water restrictions and if so if it is their day to water LOL they could be fined if restrictions are in effect

they have to be careful or that runaway bamboo will start growing.

Sorry forgot to answer your question....
In my estimation Casey hasn't seen pressure yet. I truly understand & she hasn't seen anything yet. Wait til she gets into prison. She'll become another Jeffrey Dahmer.
I don't think anyone in the Anthony family is pressuring Casey - they're too busy at directing their anger at the protesters and not their daughter. jmo

I live in NYC, it was on the news all day - all the local news had tributes, all programming was interrupted for the 4 moments of silence and memorials.

I don't mean any disrespect, but 7 years later I can finally go on the subway without cringing that something can happen. I work on Wall Street, as much as I still grieve for everything that happens - I mean, I SAW it in person - I don't need to hear about it 24 hours a day so then I'm AFRAID again. I hate to quote GWB but then the terrorists "win."

I'll take my personal moment of silence, and then give my personal middle-finger to al qaeda by living my life as if it didn't happen. NYC doesn't stop/bow down for anyone, even terrorists. :woohoo:

That obviously is a difficult memory to deal with. I know you will 'Never Forget'. I think we are all trying to heal from that day, and I agree we do not need to relive it all day long. But I do believe we do need to stop and remember. How long is really a personal judgement...I guess. I never will forget a video of that day where a guy on a bike is looking up at the WTC after the attacks and says to the cameras "They deserved it".

This goes to show you that there is evil in this world that cannot be explained by normal people like us. Maybe normal is not the word because some are obsessed beyond normal. I would say that we are all concerned about justice being served. I really think that is what describes all of us, and why we are so concerned about this case!!! Making most of us crazy, though.

According to LP on NG (not tonight) he stated nobody in the family asks Casey anything they tip toe around her.

On the 50 years for fraud charges... If they can prove she "stole" Amy's identity, the feds could charge her under the Patriot Act and the punishments are HEFTY

There are a lot of complaints in NY because even minor drug infractions are coming with big penalties if you can somehow tie it into identity theft. The law is meant to give the gov power to hold terrorists - because often the most obvious crime is identity theft/fake passport - but now its being used in non-terror related arrests. Good and bad, IMO.

Also, there's no statute of limitations for murder - LE might be thinking if they can guarentee she'll be locked up for a few years, they can drop the neglect charge, possibly charge cindy for "that incident" of child endangerment, then whenever they find the body charge Casey with murder.

Also they might be trying to get as many "corporation" (ie target, at&t) involved because if they are "residents" in different states, you can appeal for federal jurisdiction - which would also hold Casey for a long long while.

JMO and sorry if what I'm saying turns out to be a little off...its a rough day in NY

I think they are looking at Federal charges against her also. Double jeopardy does not apply - they are totally different situations. So they may be nailing her coffin as we speak. Ex: She might get off on a murder charge, but convict ed of interfering with Caylee's civil rights.

you need to put this one on a poster. Someone made it over on the Where is Caylee tshirt thread:

OK - we had a case down here a few years back. I don't remember all the charges BUT there were TWO different arrests (kinda like this). People were outraged that they tried the lesser charges FIRST. But it was explained that once this guy was CONVICTED of the lesser charges THEN he is now a CONVICTED FELON and the second (and bigger) case will carry a whole lot more weight. And it did - guy got life w/o parole. Hope that kinda makes sense.

Sure hope you are right Gaia, I just want to see her have to serve time for something. This little girl deserves some justice.
