Nancy Grace 9-11-08

I think so too, I also think she had Caylee in her trunk from the time she borrowed the shovel til she left her on the 26th. She probably had her in some kind of bin and added alot of some kind of substance, to slow decomp. anybody know if chloroform could do this?
OMG. Hubby and I were talking and this is exactly what we came up with.
I think she may have been using the chloraform as some sort of an odor deterrent.
Good grief, this is the sickest crime! an arrest for murder1 can't come quick enough!

Yup..(with the exception of the chloroform) and George NEVER went into that trunk on the 24th or he did and........fill in the blank here how ever you would like.

always imho

I agree. I was actually thinking about this the other day and it just really doesn't make sense.

I think that GA made up the story about going in the car trunk on the 24th. He gave way too much information.

the same this about seeing them leave on the 16th. Too much info. Too much detail.

Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I know he is ex-LE, so was my husband and men, as a general rule, dont' notice much. It is just not in their makeup. How many times do you get a new hairstyle or a new dress or new glasses or whatever and have to point out what is new? They just don't see everyday stuff.

If that day there was something big that happened around the time they were leaving, he might, MIGHT have noticed what they were wearing but any normal day.....no way. If he was watching his favorite show, he probably never even looked up, just waved and said bye.

If he had gone in the trunk and found the gas can then, why did he not call the police and withdraw the report? He didn't forget to call. He didn't get busy and it slipped his mind. He didn't get those cans back till much later.

Where he got them is what I am not sure about right now. There weren't in the car when picked up from the tow yard because the tow yard guy didn't notice them.

I do believe that Cindy may have called Casey and told her about the gas cans and the police report and told her "Girl, I know you got the gas cans and you better get them back here before you Dad finds out it was you." but I don't think that Casey then showed up while her Dad was at home to put them back. That would have been truly stupid. She should have been able to tell if he was there or not.

Did CA's tires ever get rotated? Did he find the chock he was looking for? Why would she have even had a chock in her car anyway? I don't carry ours around with me.

SWAG are you in FL? It is my understanding that you are correct on almost every state except FL. It sure seems like a crazy law.

If she gets charged with murder she has to give the money back
I doubt she'd have it to give back. We all know how she likes to shop!:furious:

The Lie Detector refusals.........Oh but I think that one may deserve its own thread?

You SS?
Probably not a thread's worth to discuss on that tho. There are limited possibilities for refusing to take a LD test.

Actually, all these addditional felony charges do give the prosecutors some leverage.

They could hit her up with 2nd degree murder or manslaughter charge, that added on to these charges could keep her in jail about the rest of her life, IF she doesn't get out on parole. And that could be contigent on her spillling the beans on what happened to Caylee. It could be interesting to see how they play it.

Good news!

If it is second degree murder, she CAN get life in Florida.

I think the whole thing is tragic, none of it is entertainment. I don't see how anyone can love any part of this. It's thinking like this that is causing her to become the celebrity that she has become. This is why she is getting book and movie offers. Because people want to be and are loving watching KC suffer.

Lets let the investigators do thier job, and then let the judge and jury do theirs. We can watch, but not because we want to see KC get what she deserves, to see the smile get wiped from her face. Lets Watch because there is a little girl out there missing and we need to know the truth. If you allow KC under your skin, she will only eat you alive just like she has done to everyone in her life.
I think, like another person in the news right now, her book/movie deal will go absolutely nowhere. People on here and good people everywhere will see to it. So, sorry, I can't agree with you.

Those are the maximum sentences. There are guidlines for these sort of things. She doesn't have a criminal history, she has not been convicted of anything. Everything right now is just an allegation.

I'm not sure where she would fall in the guidelines, but no one goes to jail for 50 years for stealing checks. If it was anybody else, jail time wouldn't be on the table. Restitiotion and probation would be the normal sentence.

50 years might be a scare tactic to get her to talk. But her lawyer will know better.

I was thinking about that...the 50 years...probably not going to happen..5 years tops...but hey, to Casey, thats 5 years rent free!:woohoo:

Interesting points Agave, I don't notice much myself and I am female... but I can at least claim old age...

According to LP on NG (not tonight) he stated nobody in the family asks Casey anything they tip toe around her.

This is why I still think the family does not know what really happened. I just don't see this as a conspiracy within the family. Baez instructed them not to talk to her about the case when she was first released. I'm sure he probably told Casey to keep her mouth shut as well. If this really is the case, imagine how frustrating that would be for the family. You would feel forced to tip toe around her at that point....unfortunately making Casey the 'queen'. Not a pretty site, but probably an accurate view.

I respectfully disagree....Casey is NOT a celebrity. She is notorious and or infamous, not celebrated.

They are two very different things.

This will also dawn on Casey sooner than later. She is a pariah.

It is really no different as far as noteriety is concerned. She is all of those things. It doesn't matter what our personal feelings of her are. That is hardly the point that I was making.

Lets not argue over the definition of a word, it's kinda petty.

Vader..afraid of questions.what kind of questions under oath could be so scary for "Lee" ?

Do you know where Caylee is?

Do you know what happened to Caylee?

Hi everyone! Here's a delayed 'group hug' for our devotion and our wonderful NG - in all her glory....did you see how quickly she teared up while talking about little Lucy's mosquito bite?

She needs an Emmy! I looked at my husband and said, watch her shed that tear....that's my Nancy!!!!!

LP said that JB stops by house to ensure she is alone in her room....

Lemme see.. shallow, unintelligent, promiscuous, no work ethic, entitled, enabled...

Yep! They DO have a lot in common. But, Paris hasn't stolen or killed, as far as I know.
And she doesn't have any children that we know of. However, I do think she and Casey have a lot in common.

I've suspected that the family refused to take polygraphs. Of course, we expect a suspect/defendant is not going to take one (even if they may be innocent), but folks who are on the periphery -- and especially the immediate family of the missing child -- almost always are MORE than willing to take a polygraph if it will help clear things up for LE and get them going in the right direction.

Makes me sick that they refused, but I figured they had or we would have heard Cindy yelling it to anyone who would listen that they'd all passed and so would Casey, if only her mean ol' atty would let her take one.

So, why refuse if you are not in any way a person of interest or suspect? (1) You've done something you shouldn't have and don't want to incriminate yourself. (2) You know something more/different than you've told LE and know you'd be caught in a lie/incriminate someone else you want to protect.

Can anyone think of any other reason innocent family members of a missing child would refuse to clear themselves with LD tests so police could rule them out and get busy finding the baby?
Perhaps because some of the questions would be about washing clothes etc from a car that smelled like a dead body and whether they knew they shouldn't. Or other questions about whether they were covering up for Casey. That could get them into a bind legally.

Another reason would be because their own lawyer advised them not to or Baez did. For whatever reason.

I agree Moxie, you go girl.........

That's strictly up to the prosecutor, and what do you think they would do with a suspected child murderer who won't talk?

I thought it was up to the judge to render sentencing and to decide whether sentences are run consecutively or concurrently. Much as I would like for them to punish her for not talking, I don't know how far towards the max he would go if she hasn't yet been convicted of charges related to Caylee by the time these charges come before the court.

Just saying in my experience, what I've actually seen with those types of charges (not including any type of potential federal wire fraud charge), they normally run the sentences concurrently. I hope they do give her the max on everything and run it all consecutively, though! :)

OT: While everyone is remembering 911...I haven't heard anyone mention the OKC bombing around here. See my siggy. I think the statement that one of the rescuers left behind speaks for all. They are ALL victims of senseless violence and crime...including Caylee.

I don't think many people would buy. OJs book (If I Did It) ended up on he remainder table, a lot of places.

Besides.. do you WANT to read the autobiography of someone who lies ALL the time?
