Ok...I have a question and I haven't seen it addressed on the show. How did Casey expect to get away with writing all these bogus checks? I'm serious! I can't come up with anything other than she really does not live in the real world.
I think she's gotten away with lying and scheming her entire life. Cindy always backs down when Casey gets aggressive. I can see it now
"Are you calling me a liar?"
"Sweetheart........"
Casey has always gotten away with everything. So she naturally assumes she can get away with anything. She figures she can lie her way out of anything. Why? Because she always has.

Per Rick, the folks always covered her thefts. Why wouldn't she feel entitled?

totally agreed. No conscience and zero sense of accountability for anything whatsoever.

The bottom line is either you are choked up, worried sick about a tiny lost child, or you're not. There's no middle ground. Once you start throwing your support behind a twentysomething party girl, you've made your choice.

How anyone could not choose Caylee is beond me. But, the reality is that maybe the A's know something that makes the choice easier for them...I mean the not looking, not asking, not searching.

I know, I have also thought about the possibility that GA may have gone in the trunk of KCs car on the 24th. I don't know if Caylee's body was in there or not but he smelled the decomp, knew what it was, questioned her. Maybe he caught her off guard and she told.

He tells her get that car the he11 out of here and lose it somewhere. Leave the keys, etc in it and leave it in a place where it could be stolen. If it is stolen that breaks the chain on the car. Do what you normally do and don't say anything to your mom right now.

He was probably pretty surprised when it showed up at the tow yard. Then he had to do some quick thinking and try to clean up the trunk. He tells CA and they work together to clean up the evidence.

He was way too confident that the DNA evidence found in the trunk would come back inconclusive (his word not mine).

I think the whole family has covered up a crime and obstructed justice.

I've wondered one of two things with that. One, if she caused Caylee's death, she may have figured that she might as well have a spree because she'd be going away for a long time and wouldn't matter in the scheme of things. Other one is...she got rid of Caylee, hoping folks would buy the kidnapping scenario, and that everyone would feel so sorry for her she would be forgiven all her financial transgressions and lies.

Cindy and George Lawyered up in the very beginning....it was just kept quiet somehow.

It's in the documents. When the detective goes back to the house to look at the backyard again and finds a suspicious dent in the yard. (he took the soil) C & G had a lawyer with them then and there.

I had forgotten about that!

NG talked about "press releases" being issued every day. Where are these? Can someone on here get them? I sure would like to read them.

  • #547
I member of his team was in the house 24/7

BINGO, Princess!
I have read pages now waiting for someone to figure out it was the female in the house.:clap::clap:

And bet there is more to come.......standby for LeoP.

Actually, I have been on the "KC acted alone" fence for a while now and even voted that way on one of the threads. HOWEVER, after tonight when LP was speaking of the lie detector tests....I did question this.

So did I. I was wondering if we need a poll every week to test the general feeling about it.

This whole family has issues. I wonder what happened in their past for the whole group to be whacko. On 20/20 they said that the family was classic Americana. This family is very far from being classsic Americana. What parents would allow their child to act they way that KC acts and then they bow down to her all of the time. I honestly can not believe they let her come home after what she has done.

Agree 100% with you. This family is not your average All American clan!
If she were my daughter, I would have made her talk long before this date!

Sadly, I talked to two different people today about dysfunctional families and this case. We all know at least five families that seem to be like the Anthonys.

O/T - New Yorkers, I admire your spirit!

Would a juvie record, if one existed, have any part in her trial? Would that be allowed by a judge?

If she's convicted on the financial and fraud charges first and thus has a criminal record, won't that have an impact on any sentencing in another trial, such as a murder trial?
Yes, and a friend I know who was convicted of neglect was asked by the judge if there was any juvenile record. I don't think sealing or expunging removes it from the eyes of LE

I thought also that Casey was flying solo until LP told us about the lie detector.

I cannot see any scenario in which they had anything to lose by taking that test UNLESS they are hiding their guilt guilt guilt.

Law in FL:
It would not have been admissible in Court unless agreed by the procesution and defense attorneys and then approved by the Judge.

It could have cleared them. I heart LP.
They appear to be unclearable, no more, no less...

To your second question, absolutely. It may not be used in court, but it can be used in sentencing.

I think she just DOES NOT CARE. Right? Checks / Caylee....all the same to her. That girl is beyond disturbing to me.

At that point I think she was like who cares, let the chips fall where they may. She (IMO) knew Caylee was dead by then because of her and she knew it was just a matter of time so might as well live it up! She knew sooner or later her mother would insist on finding out where Caylee was.

Does anyone else think it's a little odd that Nancy is bringing up the baby daddy now? She didn't reveal any new information. We've known about all these possible fathers for a long time.

Do you think it is to point out how that is one of the lies sitting like an elephant in all of our front rooms?

For whatever the reason, I am now comforted by his presence. JMO

I know. It's weird. I'd also love to be a fly on the wall of 'his' brain. He knows things - surely. Wish he'd do another chat.

I'll second that. In fact, if the Judge does not have the juvie record in the courtroom at the time of sentencing, if there is one, there's gonna be a recess while somebody goes to get it and somebody gets yelled at for not having it.

I have been convinced GA was lying from the beginning. There is no way any of that happened, the way it was told. This is a cover-up.

SO agree Turbo...George has always looked very awkward to me in his actions. Like stating he might just drive the rolling billboard to NC, to wherever...I'll bet he WISHES he could drive and drive...he has not come across as genuine unless he is in a meltdown...

That interview with Greta.... and the strange body not my granddaughters body...is just too much. The detailed accounting of the cooking show times (shades of SP's Martha Stewart reference) and every article of clothing...just more heaped on top of an already steaming pile..

I want to read Marilee Strong's book "Erased" She talks about motive ala Scott Peterson and says basically that these people just "erase" the people from their lives. Sounds like Casey to me too - that would explain her partying and her behavior. She just "erased Caylee from her life.
The book is written about wife-murderers but I can see the situation applying here as well.

A common trait of false testimony is too much detail and too much volunteered without being asked. Both flags to law enforcement.

Now if she wrote a book, I would probably buy it.
