Nancy Grace 9-17 Show Description + Discussion.

I liked the detective at the end that was playing "good cop" with her and "buying into" her lies. I wish he would have talked to him more, she started to talk a lot more with him--although it was a lot of bs.

Yup, she clammered on the "good cop" didn't she? I don't think she'd be willing to give up her computer to copy if it was the "bad cop" asking...IMO

The Marine was accounted for ... in California. (This is me typing from 400 pages, not direct quote of any kind):

Active duty Marine stationed in 29 Palms, CA. He and Casey communicated on almost a daily basis via telephone and Internet. Casey said she was planning a trip to CA and she needed to tell him something. She had told her mother and brother and did not know how he would react to what she had to tell him. He had heard that Caylee’s father was deceased and that he was a security guard at Universal Studios.

Maybe she was going to tell him that he is Caylee's father?

I don't know ... he'd have to stand in line for that DNA test, now wouldn't he?

I read that Amy, Ricardo, and Jesse have taken a lie detector test. Tony was not mentioned in that group. Does anyone know anything about this? I will try and find out where I got this. I remember asking myself "Why didn't Tony take it."

ETA: Found the link for this story.

Maybe she was going to tell him he was Caylee's daddy?

Anyone think that LP and his gang will be witnesses for the prosecution? That is maybe why they went down there...also to get more info from the female in the home.

Totally.. although in chat one night LP was asked if they would be and he said NO.

I think she was going to tell him that something had happened to Caylee. Not sure if she was going to tell him the actual truth or her fabricated story, but I think she was going to tell him something about her.

I will have to check the dates on the conversation, but I think it was way before anything happened to Caylee. I mean the conversation about her coming there to tell him something.

I think she was going to tell him that she was planning to move to California.

The car was seen at 7am. Tony did not pick her up until close to noon. Surely she didn't spent 4-5 hours at the grocery. What would happen to the perishables in that period of time in the Florida heat?

No but she could have went to the following places that are very close by:

CVS
Dunkin Donuts
Wendy's
BJ's

There are more places too.

Yes, but she had told her mother and brother supposedly(whatever the news was) andsaid she did not know how he would react to what she had to tell him.

That's a thought but why after Caylee was supposedly abducted? I tend to think she was going to tell him about the 'abduction'. The other part about having told her family was just another lie, MOO

This is what I'm still struggling with about the Amscot deal: If her car simply ran out of gas and she called Tony, wouldn't he bring a gas can with gas to put some in it to get to the nearest gas station? Isn't that what normal people do? Wouldn't a better lie be "the alternator died" or "it just stopped running?" The "ran out of gas" bugs me as they just left the car behind. So, yes, Tony is still a question in my mind....

That is what I thought, he doesn't want to take it and he doesn't want his parents to take it because they may know something. I just didn't realize that Lee was the one to tell them not to take it until the show tonight. It seemed like LP was saying that he told them (Cindy and George) to take one and he seem to imply that they were going to until Lee told them otherwise. Weird. So who is the one hiding something here? Seems to me Lee may know more than what he is saying. Or am I reading more into it than I need to?

I figured it out the first time LP was talking about it on NG... he said that the FBI asked them to take the polygraph and at first they agreed, then Lee came out to the RV and told him that his parents were not going to take it, and he was not either. The way LP related it then, Lee sounded angry, so I figured out that he was the one who talked them out of it.

Oh I must have missed that one! I have been trying to catch it every night, but sometimes life calls! lol Thanks for filling me in!

So Nancy says sources say there was an accomplice???? I have always thought that. Either George, Tony or jesse (it seems like Jesse is cleared by a lie detector test tho). Oh, its Leonard that thinks that. George I bet!

Not Tony, either. He seems to be testifying against her.

Is there a Target close by? It seemed to be her store of choice.

Well, Lee's the one who talks the family into refusing the polygraph.
