Nancy Grace 9-30-08

I just walked upstairs after talking with my son for about an hour. I just realized I can't describe his clothing!!!! Uh oh..my bad!! I better keep him really close! I do not believe for a second that George could remember in that kind of detail what both Casey and Caylee were wearing...I love that lawyer saying.."I would have said it before but you always cut me off!" Perfect! She totally let that remark slip by!

Father's Day is Sunday, the 15th...fight took place that night while George is at work..let's assume George works 8 hours, from 11 to 7...time to get home...has breakfast at 7:45, watches his favorite show from noon to 1..When the heck does this guy sleep?

he worked 3-11 at that time.

Does GA go to work at 11pm or comes home from work at 11 pm

  • #264
Right. That is the normal routine but I notice that on the 16th they obviously deviated from the norm because he does not say that he fixed breakfast for Caylee only that he saw them as they were leaving.

He remembers every stitch of clothes that they were wearing but does not mention that he fixed Caylee breakfast that morning. I know he used to be LE but like I have said before, my husband was LE a long time ago too and he could absolutely not tell you what I was wearing 31 days ago. He couldn't even tell you what I was wearing when I walked past him 5 minutes ago. Men just don't notice that stuff. At least not for family that they see every day.
In the LE interview, he does say that they (KC and Caylee) have breakfast that morning. And he mentions that he sometimes fixes breakfast for Caylee.

Exactly what I find strange about his recollection. When he first stated it, it was over a month after what would seem just another ordinary day.

Unless...every day that went by they were keeping track..Obviously cindy was keeping track and when she got home from work and questioned george maybe she asked what they were wearing or something.

thanks Diane...do we know what the inside of the house look like, would ga have to go past Caylee's room to get to his...because I always check on my children or grandchildren before I go to sleep

He states that he works the afternoon shift. From 3 pm to 11 pm. His days off are Friday and Saturday. (This is from the LE interview.)

On the shows, she says that she "tucked" them in and that she could hear them through the door in the morning. I don't believe that she says this in her interview with LE.

My bad! You may be right about that. There is just too much mis-information in this case.

Of course, lying is lying no matter who you do it to. What did she tell LE about that morning? I am sure that they ask about it.

I wonder if either of them didn't realize these interviews with LE would be released to the public? It seems so by the contrast between the two. MOO

Of course the people here who have no idea who Guy F is I'm sure think we're nuts. He gives me the heebie jeebies.

If I may ask, who is Guy F? Someone connected to this case, yes?

First time posting so I hope I do this thing right. I believe that GA remembers what the girls were wearing on the 16th because I believe that when CA got home from work she told GA what had happened the night before (GA did not know because he was at work) and in telling him she also questioned him to no end about what was KC wearing? did she look like she was going to work? how much stuff did she have with her? Did she have alot of CA's stuff? wonder if they are coming how tonight, yada, yada, yada and IMO that is probably what made it stick in GA's head

maybe he was just so upset at that time he just yelled that..I know I have become somewhat of a George defender..Im not doing it to bait anyone. I just really feel for George after listening to his interview. I could be totally wrong, I just think George, although we cant explain all his behavior, was very forthright in his interview.
I feel for George too diane. I believe he told the truth in his interview with LE and wanted to help them as much as he possibly could.

Sorry but I don't think that makes any sense. Supposedly they did not know that Caylee was missing until 30 days later and knowing what she was wearing when they left on the 15th/16th/whichever would not have been an important fact at the time. Maybe what time they left would have been ask by CA to GA but not what they were wearing. She might have even asked him what they were carrying (i.e. suitcases or backpacks) and that would have been important to her but not what they were wearing. Not at the time.

But then why would George lie about the time he saw them? I dont think he had any reason to lie at that point.

He could be lying because it fits Casey's story about leaving home & dropping Caylee of at the Nanny to go to work - Like any other normal day according to Casey

How would it look to LE if the last time George & Cindy saw Caylee was when Cindy choked Casey during a huge fight & she took Caylee & ran off?

Or Maybe he just has his days mixed up - either way it's important

Yes, CA also claimed she heard KC and Caylee morning of the 16th. How could GA possibly recall (over a month after the fact) what both KC and Caylee were wearing on the 16th? Right down to the color of their backpacks! I can barely recall what I wore yesterday. And men just don't take in these details, IMO. Especially GA, who repeatedly refers to Caylee as "the girl."

I agree that he most likely would not remember what Caylee was wearing. But perhaps during KC's first questioning with LE about the "kidnapping" she told LE what Caylee was wearing. So that would lead George to report her wearing the same clothing. I am sure she was initiallly questioned at the house after 911 was called. She had to have given some details about what Caylee was wearing the day she supposedly went missing.

Welcome! :) You might be exactly right. It does sound like something CA would be a lot more interested in considering what happened the night before. What still doesn't make sense though, is in the interview with Greta, didn't CA say she and Caylee were in the pool the evening of the 15th, and that Casey was there but got out of the pool because it was cold? She totally skipped over anything about a confrontation or what would've caused it.

Do we know what time the argument happened?

I know the neighbors reported hearing it.

Again, I agree that she might have wanted to know if she looked like she was dressed for work, what they were carrying, etc. but not specially what she was wearing and what difference would it make what Caylee was wearing as long as she actually had clothes on.

I am not sure how I feel about GA at this point. I know that many people changed their minds about him after hearing his interview with LE but I am just not sure. I have mixed feelings. Somethings that he has said rings true and other stuff does not. His account of the 16th does not. His account of the smell in the car does.

Keeping track for what purpose? Sorry, that makes no sense to me.
