Nancy Grace Exclusive w/ Neveah's Mom - 8 June 2009

I really wonder how often "mom" got off the couch and actually cooked for Neveah. She supposedly had lunch at the neighbor's place at 3:30, and then JB was just "thinking" of making dinner at 7 pm at night? It's been a long time since my kids were 5, but isn't 7-7:30 usually bath and getting ready for bed time for a 5 year old?

I have a 6 year old and she is starving by the time I get off of work at 5pm. There is no way possible I would think of letting her out to play (I don't let her out unsupervised at any point of the day!) at 7pm at night. 7pm is time for her to start winding down and relaxing and ready for bath and then bedtime at 8! Maybe even a little relaxation and some iCarly before bed! What in the world is a 5 year old doing unsupervised??? Especially at that time of night.

People call me over protective, but I don't let my daughter out of my site for one minute. I grew up close to where Polly Klaas w:furious:as kidnapped and was Polly's age when it happened. Ever since I became a mother, I always keep in the back of my mind that it only takes a moment or a quick turn and they can be gone. (sorry OT....just had to vent!)

I'm not sticking up for JB but my daughter is (gonna be) 6 (on Friday!!!) and I trust her to follow the rules - I know JB said she trusted her to do what she said she was going to do and I understand that. What I don't get is her calling her dead daughter a liar but saying she trusts her... I haven't been following this case very much but I'm so sad this poor girl was found this way.
I'm glad I saw this NG bc JB is unbelievable! I hope they figure out soon what happened to her.

In all fairness, these two were easy prey for NG. And all that baloney about whether it was dark and what time the sun set, pffft...NG was ridiculous.

AMEN! I was screaming at the TV to tell NG to shut up when she kept twisting her words all around. That's how timelines get screwed up and misinformation gets out. First, NG says it's going on 7, getting dark, and you let her go out. JB, no..it doesn't get dark here till 9-9:30.
NG: So between 8-9 it's dark and Nevaeh
JB: No, it gets dark between 9:9:30
NG: So your saying it's not dark at 10:00 where you are??? That is simply not true, I know for a fact that the sun set at 8:55 PM that night...blah, blah...

She kept stretching the time and not ONCE did she actually repeat the correct time it got dark!

I LIVE HERE! I was outside tonite at 9:15 watering my flowers, and no, I don't do it in the dark! It's at LEAST 9:30 before it gets to be nightime!

Jeez...JB does enough to make herself look like an ignorant, non caring mother...NG doesn't need to hammer her INCORRECTLY about what the hell time it gets dark! Move on Nancy!

Also, I noticed that again, NG was flashing that a beer can was thrown into the grave and even asking experts about it. She said a "source" told them. Is NG where this rumor got started? Because I will say again, there is no one HERE in the area that is reporting that at all. I think someone's "Source" got it all wrong.

According to news...Autopsy should be back by tomorrow (9th) afternoon.

IMO Poor little Nevaeh came home to eat dinner. She would be hungry by 6:30 and her mother didn't want to get her lazy azz off the couch and told her to grab a popsicle until she was ready to make her dinner...That's sounds more like what could have happened to me...:furious:

How do you "trust" a five or six year-old child to always obey the rules and use good judgment when the stakes are so high? I certainly agree it is important to teach children self-reliance by allowing them to use their judgment in decision making. Absolutely. But you excercise that trust in matters that are inconsequential, like trusting them to put their toys away. I'm not picking on you blubuni, but I've encountered this attitude before, and it makes me crazy.

This woman is 24 and she didn't have the good sense to keep sex offenders away from her child. So where does she get off "trusting" a five year-old to do the right thing.

Am surprised no one mentioned this earlier, but if you rewatch NG, take notice of JB's eyes when she speaks. The majority of the time she is looking straight down into her lap. Reminds me of the television interviews Susan Smith did while claiming her boys were kidnapped by the carjacker. After her confession, a lot was stated about her inability to look the camera or her interviewer in the eye (re: lying...)

And OT....the "JB" is getting very confusing...kept wondering why everyone was talking about Jose Baez in this thread! HA!)

A few years back, I took a class on eye movements and what they are telling you. It depends on if she is a visual, audio or kinesthetic communicative style. We would have to determine what type ofcommunicative style she has before we could accurately analyze what her eyes are telling us

You and me = 2 peas in a pod. I am so overprotective of my son as well, and I'm just a bunch of jelly right now. My now 12 year old just went off with the 6th grade for summer camp. I thought I could do it, but all I do is worry. He won't be home until Thursday! This is my first "letting go" and I just can't stand it.

Now when he was 5, there was NO way he'd be going out by himself - ever.

Yah, I'll probably up all night -- can't sleep anyway

Did anyone else happen to catch the way JB's mother was looking at Holly when she was talking about all the searching she and JB had supposedly done? I would love to hear an experts opinion on that.

Like others I feel there were some huge issues between JB and NB. I sense resentment, anger and jealousy in her voice when she talks about Nevaeh. It makes me wonder if the jealousy was because of the Grandmother or because of GK. In another interview I watched today she knew exactly how long GK's new girlfriend had been around (two weeks) but can't seem to keep the story about her daughter's where abouts straight.

Her coming out with the GK and money story is very disturbing to me since we heard that LE had found a torn up note in her trash supposedly to GK dealing with the same subject. Did she use NV to pay off that debt and things went too far? I hate typing that but you only have to read the news to know that if she did, she would not have been the first egg donor to have done so.

She made me so mad on NG that I just wanted to be able to reach through the screen and slap her, HARD! I see an egg donor that is only worried about her own image....I do not see or hear any grief in her for the death of her daughter IMO.
