Jose Baez, Casey's attorney, said he didn't know anything about the results at all.
"That's not what law enforcement was doing at my office today,” said Baez. “They weren't telling us anything about the University of Tennessee or The Body Farm, or whatever they're calling it nowadays, so I really can't comment on that. That's a leak and I certainly don't know where it's coming from the one thing I can comment on is that they haven't found Caylee.”

Jose saying that he's not aware of the results in no way negates them, it just make Jose look like he's out of touch.

If I hear "accident" one more time I'll scream! The way her parents seem to have coddled her, it sure doesn't seem she would've been afraid of them if she'd said Caylee accidentally drowned in the pool, for example. The mother of a child who has accidentally died doesn't go out partying, carry on with her new boyfriend(s) and get a tattoo that means 'beautiful life' either. In addition to all the lies she's told, of course. :furious:

"Accident" used in this case ..makes my skin crawl as well---Can they not believe this woman smiling and parting up a few days after Caylee was 'gone' is cold enough that she murdered her daughter with her bare hands? I could see it when it comes to Casey!

My fiancee' used to work in the bar where she was busted. To this day her name is still up on the wall in there, in her own hand. We still freak out when we see the movie "Monster."

UGH really..that would freak me out. I never saw the movie..maybe I should rent it.

Just stating the facts...not saying that I think it was another body...

Momof5, I know and I do hope you didn't take that the wrong way, I just wanted to point out that there didn't seem to be any other options. I hope I didn't cause you any upset as this latest news is already enough to bear. :blowkiss:

I don't think we will see it til the 10pm news in orlando. It is possible that he changed his mind as well.

I don't get any news coverage in Orlando here in Bradenton. :(

I don't think you can fault LP or TP - I really think their hearts were in the right place. I think LP especially emotionally invested in this because from what I understand, his own 3 y/o was taken from a soccer game many years ago.

When all is said and done, I'll be interested in hearing what TP has to share that he wasn't able to share during his current Q & A sessions here.

I've come to really like both LP and TP - and I especially like TP's commitment to his family and family time, and the fact that each time he was here, at some point in the "conversation," he requested prayers. I think they're very solid people, even if LP marches to his own drummer. :-)

I have a friend who is a bail bondsman - they are not all sleazy crooks!

Playing possum is more like it, that way he can avoid all the questions about the reports.

How could Baez ever prove to a jury that Caylee’s death was accidental without a body to back up his assertion?

If the DNA comes back as Caylee’s, the prosecutor will argue that she was murdered. Casey will say she left her with someone who doesn’t exist. The jury will say, ‘Death by lethal injection.’

With conclusive DNA results, Casey’s only hope of proving accidental death is by producing Caylee’s body for autopsy and hoping it supports her claim.

Or am I missing something here?

Because she'll drag LE down to some swamp and say, "Well, I left her right here! Where did she go? Must have been the animals or something, but I swear - I freaked and put her right here! Bad call, I know, I know....but I thought my mom would be so mad. I didn't know what else to do." And there always seems to be some "open-minded" juror that is afraid to pull the trigger on the death penalty that could fall for it so he/she won't have to make the command decision to sentence someone to death. Sad, but true.

I agree. Why in the world, if she was taking care of her child with no evil intent or desire to be rid of Caylee, would she not call 911? How could she bear to party and be happy so soon? How could she bear to dispose of her child's body? Why would she not tell the truth when she knew she was suspected of murder?

No, she could only do those things if she had meant for that child to die.
EXACTLY! Children die as a result of accidents all the time, and even due to negligence of a parent, but if it's really an accident I've never seen that parent lie to everybody, even their friends, and carry on as if they don't have a care in the world, and like you said, dispose of the child's body as if it were garbage while creating a story about some 'nanny' abducting her.

I'm really angry at both the Padillas.

If you go back and read all their statements from the begining they tried to lead people to believe that they were privy to some kind of inside knowledge that Caylee was alive & that they knew who had her.

They would never come right out and say it because they are too smart for that but they certainly hinted.

The both of them tried to discount & explain away all of the obvious evidence that pointed to Casey.

They're common point was " Just because she lied doesn't mean she's a murderer" as if we all assumed that without even looking into the details of the case.

Today was the day that LP was supposed to go & start is own search for Caylee wasn't it?

This is all just my opinion of course

LP has said that he knows Casey's friends have Caylee, and they must give her up or he will come get her.
Gee, do you think he might have been lying?:furious::furious:

I think she loves herself way too much to hurt herself-- She's prolly going to say 'someone else , the babysitter?" put Caylee in the trunk--it wouldnt surprise me if she comes up with that.

I can see her now pointing fingers at people. And I've said from the beginning that Casey thinks WAY to highly of herself to ever commit suicide or endanger herself..so I agree. She is honestly just a complete waste..IMO of course:furious:

I agree. It is more than "out of touch"; he is still spinning in my opinion.

No, no, not at all.

But I am absolutely broken-hearted about this latest information...

Greta's been giving updates of the case after the convention ends for the night usually around midnight ET. She gave a brief update last night about the fired LE officer. :)
