I'm trying to figure out why both Casey and her parents keep referring to Caylee as "that little girl." I've never, in my entire life, referred to my children as that little boy or that little girl.

Yes, this part blew my mind...but I can't figure out why....it was her pause and her eyes when she said it. I thought she was going to say "me" but instead she referred to herself in 3rd person. Spooky...someone explain it to me.....

IIRC, her pause was due to the 5 minute warning screen they get when visit time is about to end. She was huffy due to the interruption (cuz she doesn't like to be interrupted when she's talking about herself!)

What I've always found odd after LA taking the time for that dictation session... I don't recall ever reading or seeing (video) him get that message out there to the public for her! That reminds me, CA also asked her at one point about what she'd want said (to the kidnappers??) and KC told her a couple things to say.... never heard or read that relayed message either.

That is weird. Didn't Patsy Ramsey refer to JonBenet as "that child" or something along that line? It's almost as if they are trying to distance themselves from their child/grandchild.

I just want to say one last thing for 2008, Happy New year to all of you..what an incredible bunch of people you all are. :)

My last comment about casey, someone I loath..is this. I find it rather decent (hard to believe about her) that she said she was sorry about stealing any's money... for some reason I believe that she really is sorry to have lost that friendship. I suppose amy was still a useful tool and for sociopaths losing their supply before they're ready is a blow.

Gotta go, hopefully soon we will get more pieces to this puzzle, but of course I think it is going to uglier than any of us could have ever imagined.:seeya:

CA: "Have you heard how much the reward is for Caylee"?
Casey, "Uh no I haven't heard anything"
CA "It's $225,000.00, can you believe that"?
Casey, "Jesus C., that's half my Bond":bang: Me,me, me!
CA, (Taken back) "Well, everyone wants that little girl back"
Casey, "Good, everyone should want her back":furious:

I
Im was just glad to hear them state Caylee's name one time, why do they keep referring to Caylee as that little girl or her? It's like they are scared to mention her name, for fear Casey will get upset that they are not talking about "Casey" oh they dont want the remark All anybodies worried about is Caylee, Caylee, Caylee It reminds me of Marsha! Marsha! Marsha! (you know Jan the Brady bunch)

And one more thing: Why does the NG show keep saying that the tapes are "raw" and "uncensored" when all the naughty words are bleeped out? Isn't that "censored", or do I need a new dictionary?

I'm wondering if it's guilt that stops them from saying Caylee's names. KC is responsible for Caylee's death, IMO, and Cindy may feel guilt for not getting Caylee away from KC (didn't they have a fight and KC left with Caylee?).

I posted this upthread...Patsy Ramsey talked about Jonbenet many times without mentioning JonBenet's name. I think she called her "that child," or something along that line. I thought it was strange at the time, but since I believe Patsy was involved in JonBenet's death, I felt she was distancing herself from JonBenet. By not saying her name, this helped her talk about JonBenet without actually thinking about JonBenet or what she did to her. "That child" could be any child. "That little girl," could be any little missing girl. IMO, both Cindy and KC don't want to mention Caylee's name for different reasons: KC because she killed Caylee, and Cindy because she feels guilty because Caylee's death happened after a fight she had with KC.

If I remember correctly, Scott Peterson's mom never referred to Connor Peterson by name.

Just an observation on my part. I could be completely wrong, but I think there is a reason why these people don't call these murdered children by name.

Ahh, the last day of the year. I haven't been here for awhile because:

A. This case has gone completely off the rails (but I think most of what's happening now is Defense strategy - I still have a hard time believing there is any REAL wrongdoer other than Casey).
B. I've been addicted to the discussions on change.com - if you haven't been there I suggest checking out our new, transparent government.

Anyway, it was fun to hear JVM say that this case is getting to be "a lot like that old T.V. show Twin Peaks"...duh, really?

Anyway, I wanted to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Peace,
DA
Happy New Year to you too, Deputy Andy!:partyguy: And I'm holding out hope for 2009 to be a better year for all!

I also believe that the defense has a hand in much of the latest 'hocus pocus', and I think this crime was instigated by Casey, carried out by Casey, and I hope and pray that Casey pays for it and that the defense team doesn't confuse and befuddle so much that she walks! That would be a grave injustice and Caylee has already been long forgotten by all of the players, it seems!
I'll have to check out the change.com site, God knows a new and transparent government sounds really good to me. This case is driving me bonkers, I need a break!

Man, I didn't think so. I thought Cindy sounded so so fake.

I dunno, when these talks took place George & Cindy (& Lee) had already smelled the car. After that I think they all knew what was what when they had a live (lying) Casey and she couldn't produce a live Caylee.

Whoa! KC said "I know but they're hearing it from her uncle, her grandparents... but not from her (loooonnnngggg pause...whisper) mother.

shiver!

That has to be the creepiest sentence KC has ever uttered. It's almost as if reality rushes in on Casey and in that one suspended moment she realizes she is no longer a mother. The word itself sounds foreign coming from her mouth. I need to see that again.

Whoops! I'm sorry, it's late, and NYE - it's actually change.gov! The site's a little quirky, but definitely worth checking out.

I don't know if I could ever get thru to N.G. I would ask her, She was a victim herself and I wonder how many times she mentioned his name in private. She might would have some type of answer.

how could she talk to any inmates when she is in protective custody........another lie........I think she knew JB BEFORE this happened.
IMO

IIRC, didn't KC know Baez's daughter Christina??? I think she was a friend on KC's facebook. I could be wrong, but that's what I think I remember reading somewhere. Afterall, we all know she had 30 days to shop around for an attorney. :furious:

KCisms that make me sick::puke:

"Absolutely"
"to the best of my ability"
"misconstrued"
"me me me me me me me" ....she always has to turn the conversation back to herself.....showering, flat tire, yada yada yada. It's all about her....KC KC KC.:furious:

That phrasing does have a ring of disconnect to it, doesn't it? It's beyond sad that Caylee left this world the way she did but I'm very much at peace with the idea that the Anthony family will have no further influence on her. I shudder at the thought of what their influence on her may have produced in future years.

It would be interesting to ask NG about this topic. It is very weird.

I am sure there's a reason people speak in this fashion when referring a missing/murdered person/child. Any psychologists here?

 So, that's what's growing wild in my back yard.......a zannie bush! I think the entire time Cindy is talking to her, in that slow slow voice, she is warning KC in her own way to be very careful how she answers as it is being taped. Often Cindy supplies KC with the answer or a clue as to how she should answer. Nuts, all of them nuts.:furious:

ABSOLUTELY! And the most annoying to me is definitely "misconstrued" - GEEZ! It's just totally amazing how CA, GA and LA - NONE OF THEM - ever ask, "O.K., Casey, what are they misconstruing?"

OMG!!! :eek:That's the first time I have seen this part of the videos.

VERY VERY VERY CREEPY! I think that is the only time I have seen her show any true emotion.

It was as if she was saying she wasn't worthy of being called the word mother because she knew what she had done!!!

I think CA knew the name of the girl but was playing around with KC to see what her reaction was.

I dont think CA had or has anything to do with the disapperance of this child.
But if you look at GA when KC says that she is protecting the family from something. George looks around and doesnt look at the screen. Makes me wonder !!

Might I suggest something ... that I just thought of tonight?

Isn't Cindy the only one who can 'hear' KC on the 'phone'? George wouldn't be able to 'hear' KC ... would he? As the voice only comes through the phone ... no?

I have ...

When my sons were young, if maybe I were talking to a friend or neighbor, I might say: Yes, that little boy can be soooo curious ... or something like that. Especially if the friend or neighbor had just said something to me about him.
