I’m trying to catch up on posts so my apologies if this has already been mentioned. I believe I have the same doorbell camera and it requires a metal “key” to release it from the mounting plate. Similar to using a paper clip in the hole to get a cd drive to open(or SIM card tray on a cell phone), but it’s flat. I think he was trying to use the sticks from the plant to poke into the release “slot” to remove the camera. He appeared to look around for something before settling on the plant. The release “slot” is on the top of the doorbell camera.

Looking at this again, it looks like the heli landed moreso in Nogales than Rio Rico. Could be wrong, I need to look at the original again. The flight path lines themselves are somewhat confusing. If anyone knows what the gray line connecting the bright green line means, I'd be interested!
I'm waiting for a friend to explain the line. But often times the landing zone is coordinated where it's safest for helicopter to land...source is from personal experience

Just think if NG was found alive, this would be splashed all over the news. SG would be headed to see her mother.
I actually think they will hold that info a minuet to give SG and family time to get to her without being bombarded by the media and people showing up to the hospital to rubber neck and see what they can see.

I’m wondering if helicopter was a precaution in case she was with him once they had him on their radar 😞

Ohhhh that is good to know and would make sense!

This sounds real promising, since they stopped him with the help of FBI. IMHO, this came in from a tip! He was headed to the border.
RIO RICO, Arizona — The man detained of questioning in the abduction of Nancy Guthrie was headed toward the US-Mexico border when he was stopped by Pima County sheriff's deputies with the help of the FBI, law enforcement sources said.

Cops stopped the man and detained him for questioning, sources said.

He was being pursued when cops stopped his vehicles in this tiny border community, which is 60 miles south of Nancy Guthrie's home and just nine miles from the border.

Sources did not know if he was trying to flee to Mexico.

Thank you. User 'Chainspell' did explain it: "Flightradar puts in that line for an estimated flightpath when a flight loses signal (for whatever reason, such as being out of range)."

Occam’s Razor say this is all unrelated IMO. I think this is far fetched.

i don't think occam's razor applies here. i don't know how accurate the flight radars are, but i don't think it's more likely. it would be a wild coincidence, not occam's razor.

It landed at Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales
We have ambulances transfer to a smaller hospital then lifeflight to trauma centers here in my area. Could be completely unrelated but I'm holding on to hope. That's about as close to the Mexican border as possible right?

I wonder how they were to arrest someone after the video of the suspect was released.

My understanding is that SWAT deployed to execute a warrant. The traffic stop was news to me, so I assume they ran once they saw/heard SWAT coming. Reports seem to bounce between a stop and a "chase" - either way, SWAT took him. That was around 6:30pm east coast time (4:30p local).

My understanding is the search warrant was executed before SWAT returned. It would be reasonable to assume they will not announce the search until detectives have completed any evidence gathering to avoid media flocking to the location
I agree- they had a suspect in mind and got a warrant to search his home/property. But suspect had fled before they got to scene which resulted in him being tracked and pulled over near border.

IMO

I looked at her Twitter account last night. No posts since January 28 and her screen name is a period. I'm not sure if it was always a period.
Maybe she received a cease and desist.

My local reporter friend had never seen a line like that. Here, we can listen to the scanner and know what most lifeflight transfers are. But I wouldn't even know where to start figuring that out in other areas.
