Yes, detained for questioning. I hope they got information to further the case. This pic was included in X as the detainee. Similar?
Maybe similar, maybe not. But similar isn't good enough. I'm guessing the detained guy had absolutely no valuable information. I'm guessing he was the subject of a tip that absolutely needed to be checked out, but he's not a viable suspect.

Delivery driver detained in Nancy Guthrie abduction investigation released after several hours: ‘What the f–k am I doing here’

Hmm... So this guy they detained and released doesn't resemble the masked man IMO.

Totally agree. The card is very interesting and it'd be good to know when it was left there. It would make sense that APS would be involved when an elderly person is missing. But leaving the card there? I wonder if APS also reached out to the family.

For sure LE knows if there'd ever been APS involvement.
Likely that at early stage of missing elderly “Silver Alert” (call to 911) triggers automatic contact with APS, who then visits and leaves card so they may be contacted when she is found (the process is to get involved early to help a person who has become more vulnerable & walked off - not kidnapping!). Good to know APS gets contacted when a Silver goes missing.

This is very, very far fetched but with NG’s age and the high likelihood she’s on blood thinners, I wouldn’t be surprised if she had a wound that was already bandaged (like in the picture released of her at a table). Someone posted way, way back that it looked like there was a bandage on the front step. I wonder if she purposely took off a bandage to leave a blood trail, sort of like a breadcrumb trail. I mean I doubt it but figured I’d put it out there with all the other theories running rampant haha.

I wish they released more info about the state of inside the house but I understand that there is likely a reason they aren’t doing so.

I mean, even just taking a quick glance at his eyebrows makes it clear that this is not the masked man.

No corroboration that she ever made it home from AG and SIL home that night. Her digital devices did but that's not proof enough. So you always concentrate on the last people with a victim.
If I had to guess, part of the reason they asked for camera footage from neighbors/surrounding business was to see if they saw her in a vehicle being driven home that night.

IMO it would be hard for anyone to recognize the perp in the released stills and video. At least not by his facial features. It looks like he's wearing two masks and the one underneath is tight and probably twists and distorts his true features IMO.

Thats what I figured too, probably why the majority of searching and requests for footage have been around AG home rather then NG

So angry that our FBI is so incompetent. Guy makes minimum wage, going about his business, when he's surrounded by LE. Then they break down his MIL's door, throw everything around in a search. Whoops. Sorry about that. FBI agents make GOOD money, and they can't do their homework? This is America 2006. We deserve better. (You can probably tell I live in Minnesota.)
On the other hand … good to know every lead is being investigated regardless of suspect hourly wage. You think hourly wage factors into who has Nancy?
If FBI gets a tip, saying it’s this “guy” he’s got suspicious behavior, has that backpack and been talking non stop about NG … you think fbi says … no - let’s not treat him like a dangerous suspect, let’s not talk to him because he’s on an hourly wage.
Respectfully disagreeing mostly because we don’t know what info FBI is acting upon.

I think this person absolutely looks like the man in the mask. I also think it's odd he is giving an interview so soon and he honestly seemed to enjoy the attention. It also doesn't mean anything that they questioned and released him already maybe they don't have enough. Maybe I'm wrong. JMO.

IMHO, this POI delivered to NG's home in the past and was seen by LE on her doorbell footage.

Yes I know, it's claimed by Nest/Google that her doorbell didn't upload to their servers since she wasn't a monthly subscriber, but I think that is Google's dirty little secret: everything is uploaded regardless of subscription status. Google probably caved to LE and finally gave them access to all her past footage.

So LE, possibly, invaded this guy's life based of a slight resemblance to the fully masked and clothed suspect. If true, that's unfrikkenbelievably stupid and amateurish.

My question was very simple, but... okay.

How do you suppose that Nancy's blood appeared on her doorstep after all this? Because you can see it's not there when the footage was taken at 1:47am.
100% agree. IMO all the information LE has shared up to now would imply that NG was home in the night until she was far enough away from her phone—causing Bluetooth disconnection from pacemaker (5-30ft from her phone). And NG’s blood trail out the front door.. investigation on that alone can provide LE with specifics on the blood trail. That’s just my unprofessional opinion only. My opinion is that the blood trail starts inside NG’s home— behind that door, a trail of evidence of the scene, investigations/extracted data from technology that only LE knows. MOO is that LE may have enough evidence behind that door to say NG was home that night, and that’s why LE hasn’t suggested otherwise. But that’s just my opinion.

Really a sad, awful, horrible thing to happen though, this old lady is just so darn cute. Like my grandma. How could anyone? Tugs on my heartstrings 🥺

MOO 🐄 🐮

His body language and facial expressions are saying something different to me. JMO

I second everything you say. I don’t want to point fingers at an innocent person but him being released doesn’t mean he’s completely innocent.

I also see people saying his eyebrows aren’t the same as the one in the video. You can not see the persons eyebrows in the video. I don’t think eyebrows are even exposed in that style of ski mask.

Doesn't stop people from asking AI to generate images of someone with similar features and stature to muddy the waters.

His eyes and eyebrows are completely different from the guy in the video. At least to me. And he's a lot smaller.
