It's not just that they are pretty, there is a definite feminine look about them. I'm probably wrong, but I can't see past it. lol

A lot of people thought this about Luigi Mangione's eyes when he was seen in a mask. It's funny because I don't think Luigi's eyes really look "feminine" when you see his whole face.... "pretty" but not feminine. But when you remove the context of the rest of his face and view his eyes in isolation, they absolutely do. I think what we're dealing with here is that same lack of context.

I don't feel like it's a hoax in the sense that poor NG is missing and her family is suffering. But I do have some suspicion that this case is not what it appears to be and I'm not talking about a run of the mill cover up by a close individual that we see in a lot of cases. There is something more at play here IMO.
Many people are saying this. It seemed cut and dried. All for money. But someone put this person up to this. I now believe he was paid or had help.

Did anyone see the latest episode of AB? She had a guy on who doesn’t believe the door cam footage is real. Not real in that it looks like a person set it up to make it look like something it wasn’t. Staged. He too believes that the person is wearing a Halloween mask underneath to balaclava to totally throw people off. I saw some people here theorizing the realistic mask thing too. He also thinks the gun holster looks ridiculous. The way it’s worn. Basically the footage was to create a diversion. I’m not sure if he’s hinting that maybe she didn’t return home at all. If that’s the case, the least the perp could have done was to take some stuff to make it look like a robbery.

WATCH: Man detained by police in Nancy Guthrie search speaks to ABC15

So C thinks he may have been detained due to phone proximity. Potentially delivering packages in NG’s neighborhood. I wonder how they came to the conclusion that he was there around the time of the abduction.

C is obviously not the person in the video footage, they don’t have the same build. And I hope LE isn’t just going based off of phone pings because I’m sure the actual perp was savvy enough to turn theirs off or leave it at home for the crime.
I would not say C is "obviously" not the person in the video. I saw a different video where his face was visible. I thought there was a pretty good resemblance with the eyes and the little bits of facial hair. To me, the build was pretty similar. Also, the video from the camera has been enhanced by AI. It's real but enhanced. It will be interesting to see if the AI enhancement will be challenged in court if they do catch the guy.

I wonder why police were searching all over AG's neighborhood yesterday. Do they think something happened to NG there or she was followed home? I don't understand why they were just doing this yesterday and not a week ago.

I wonder if the man in the videos initial idea with the flowers was to stick them behind the camera and have the leaves block the lense. Doubt he wanted to take the cameras with him and make them a later problem he had to dispose of.
I can see amazon and Google prehaps putting locators in their doorbell cameras from now on if not maybe its an idea for any budding entrepreneurs among us 😀

I agree, and I think they should scrub the detained person's and his family's names from their social media and website.

I didn't know alot about BE before Nancy's disappearance, and I've been so impressed with his stamina and coverage. But this has tarnished him IMO. I think he crossed the line and he took it way too far, almost like a tabloid reporter. I don't know if he's so fatigued he didn't think through what he was doing, but I'm less inclined to follow him now. He should have stayed out of this one
Brian did ask the MIL her SIL's name and she blurted out her SIL's full name. She kind of said the last name quickly and (from the clips I saw), Brian did not actually ask how do you spell that. I think if she had just said the first name, he may not have asked for a last name. In the interview with the guy himself, Brian said he just wants to go by his first name. MIL was flustered and rambling. I thought he was actually pretty respectful toward her. I think he's pretty earnest and does a nice job of coverage.

I felt bad for the family. The adrenaline and shock and fear. I think they spoke freely because they had nothing to hide. They looked like people feeling like is this for real?? Seriously?? Rather than smooth or coy. What a mess.

And I get why someone called in a tip. The guy's basic eye spacing, lips, mustache fall into the ok, hmmm. Then add in what I think was a white vehicle and he does deliveries in Tucson, and yeah, someone likely called in exactly the kind of tip LE wants to hear. It was just a mess from there. Also, the guy clearly having no idea, immediately offers up something like, "I don't know her but I may have delivered something to her." Which on its face sounds like wait what, whoa. But sounds more like him trying to figure out how who the hell this lady was and why they were asking him.

I think this person absolutely looks like the man in the mask. I also think it's odd he is giving an interview so soon and he honestly seemed to enjoy the attention. It also doesn't mean anything that they questioned and released him already maybe they don't have enough. Maybe I'm wrong. JMO.
I think he was in stunned shock, adrenaline, and that it was all surreal. One minute you're doing a door dash delivery, the next you have the FBI pulling you over for one of the biggest kidnapping cases in decades and reporters putting microphones in your faces.

I hope they pay for the freaking door to be fixed. But if he was the bad guy, we would have all been glad they barged on in. Tough night.

How cruel that would be!!! Somebody had to set that up. It appears too many are involved. Why? Wondering if someone had a grievance with Savannah or Camron or Annie.

...I'm hoping and praying that they have already researched the company/companies/installers/workmen that have made improvements to the home within the past year.

Facial recognition software can make certain determinations using measurements of facial features then compare to a database of measurements then make a probability of the nationality even through a mask. Software can be trained to analyze facial features to estimate age, gender, and ethnic background. These are not absolute identifications but rather statistical probabilities based on datasets.
Neither software nor people can determine if that masked person is Italian, German, Russian, Israeli or Mexican. It could any of the above IMO. The argument could be made that its more likely to be a Hispanic because of the geographic location, but beyond that, there are very little features visible to make that determination.

We were told that family drove her home.
Indeed; the discussion stems from comments made on here by some about the Uber driver/ride from her home to her daughter’s house.

This is still a missing persons case with a victim still assumed to be alive and in need of aid. LE doesn't have time to do deep dive assessments of possible suspects since there is still hope of a successful recovery. Unfortunately, with today's 24 hour news obsession, there is a great deal of attention paid to anyone peripherally involved in cases.

Since kidnapping for ransom is very rare in the US, I doubt there are a lot of "professional" kidnappers available. If this crime was committed by a professional, that person is most likely from another country and likely long gone. Based on the blood at the scene and hints by LE of evidence of violence in the house (although this has never been specifically described), this was likely not a professional job.
Apologies if this was already mentioned and I missed it. It could be that the scene in NG's home (blood, etc) indicated to LE who was possibly/likely responsible, and locating them/bringing them to justice is complicated. JMO

Right. I just want to be clear about one thing here, though. There are two possible conclusions people could take from "you'd have to be a real expert to pull off a successful crypto ransom."

One is, "well, then an expert must have done this. We're dealing with someone super sophisticated."

The second is, "this is not how an expert would do this, therefore we are not dealing with someone super sophisticated."

I believe the second, and it sounds like you do too, but I worry that people are seeing mildly technical explanations of what would be required, and jumping to the conclusion that it's the first. I just don't think that's the case. Thinking of bitcoin and having a bitcoin wallet address to put in a ransom note does not suggest that the person is an expert. I will believe that they're an expert only if and when they receive funds, move them out of that wallet, and get away without detection. Until then, I'm assuming this could be any fool who googled how to use bitcoin.
I agree with you. It's the latter. I do *not* believe this is a expert. A true cryptocriminal likely would not request payment in BTC as their initial onramp. There are other cryptos that are better for these purposes. And, they most certainly would not send a crypto address meant for criminal activity to the media - who does that?! TMZ could have easily published the address and millions of people would have been watching it thus increasing the liklihood of the culprit's detection.

I am not convinced the ransom notes are related to the abduction. I lean toward hoaxster opportunists.

IMO AB is doing this interview to double down on what was said originally as this to me nails her reports as in-valid

Would you please cite your source for the LE released image having been AI enhanced? I must have missed that.

Does anyone else

I noticed the "bulk" too. And I can't stop thinking the eyes are a woman's.
I agree! I'm still saying woman. Albeit, a more manly woman. We had someone who was tall and lanky that worked for us. Same type of gait, and with loose clothing on--did not have much of a chest so to speak. I think there are multiple layers, which is throwing off the perps actual physique. Multiple people have commented on the multiple gloves that appear to be worn---why not multiple layers to hide actual physique?

I'm still going back to a former classmate, who was scorned and felt SG took the path she/he should have been on. This is personal--it ties to SG somehow--someway. I think this was planned for quite some time. I think the casualness of the perp was the perp in their mind deciding if they were really going to go thru with it. I don't think the perp has been to NG's house more recently, but I do believe the perp had been there casually before---quite some time back.

Of course, this is just all my opinion and speculation.
