This is very intriguing. Does anyone know about how this works? Would an APS caseworker be brought along to a call about a missing elderly person, automatically?

In my mind, MOO, I could imagine a scenario where a caseworker paid a call stemming from a report to APS about a possible case of elder abuse. Finding no one home, they leave their card just in case. Or if the person denies them a meeting, they leave their card, again, just in case.

I’m guessing, IMO, the card was left behind after the police released the home back to the family, in case someone wanted to report something. But if the police and FBI are on the case, it’s gone well beyond APS.

Curious about this, if anyone has any insight.
Maybe the card was left for anyone to contact them with information or questions regarding NG or their own family member?

The blood makes me think it wasn’t the BIL. If the BIL needed to get her in the car, even in the middle of the night, it would be very easy for him to come over and make up some frantic story like his wife was at the hospital and wanted her mom there or something. I feel like she’d have went willingly if it were him.

Trickling down to MSM now.

Howdy! 1st post, though I've been an on and off lurker for years.

I'm halway through A. Banfield's video, in which a long shot of walking towards NG's door is shown repeatedly, with focus on the blood right in front of the door. There are many individual drops all over, with two main spots, so to speak. One further from the door looks like a couple large drops in the same place. The one closer to the door, though, looks way different.

I'm no expert here but let's say I've been in a situation where someone was hit once or twice. The one closer to the door has a lot of tiny droplets, presumably under higher pressure, on a larger surface, with a couple larger ones on top. To me it looks like someone got hit/smacked right there in front of the door. If someone's seen this as well pls tell me if I'm wrong here or on to something.

While we're at it, it's been said there was blood inside the house as well and I'm aware of this. Blood reportedly stops at the driveway and the assumption is it's NG's blood. But what if it isn't? But that would mean an 84 year old could deliver a nice blow to someone being a threat at her front door.

oh this helps a lot...I have to trust that PageSix is quoting the NYT property. BUT it still does not say HE WENT BACK to check on Nancy.
Does anyone, who has access to the NYT, see that they say that, or do not say that?? tia

Cioni was the last person to see Nancy — despite previous reports it was Annie — as he was the one to drop his mother-in-law off at her house around 9:30 p.m
I think they are quoting the New York Post not the New York Times. Looks like Page 6 typoed And wrote NYT instead of NYP in the article you are quoting from. I looked for NYT reports making the same claims and did not find any. ICBW but I think NYP is the source here. Open to being corrected if anyone has a link to NYT reporting this.

I’d consider her controversial since she makes her political views very well

only controversial if people make it that way-and sadly people make it that way.
Valid points imo. I just don't view her as an outspoken obnoxious public figure. Some people may see her differently though. Just my opinion and brainstorming random thoughts

Unless you've experience it you can't say for sure how you'd be. Jmo.
I get your point, really.
However, i know myself very well and i wouldn't hide. Stare in the distance as being the passenger? Def. Being absent minded? 100%. But for me hiding doesn't add anything. Especially if i'm already all over the internet.
Again, just my opinion.

So they haven't been named as suspects but you have the press hounding them. Imagine how you feel if you hypothetically hadn't done anything but you are going the worst time of your life and the press keeps hounding you. Getting into your face. Stalking your house. A lot of families of victims have had nothing to do with the crime and get hounded by the media and press and trying to get them to say something, get a reaction, get them to do something. They have jobs-one works with kids. Exactly how do you think it's going to be with their job to find out that they are plastered all over the media? NOT as a suspect mind you Think about it.
Correct, they really don’t have any freedom to take a walk in the neighborhood, go to the gym or grocery store without the press following them and taking pictures etc. I would hate that.

If they weren't hiding their faces we'd probably all be on here picking them apart wondering what the heck's wrong with them for not displaying shame lol 🤣
Nah. I have never heard anyone criticized for not hiding their faces.

I understand your point but they could also just look straight while driving off. Why so dodgy? They don't have to stop the car, open a window and talk to the media. They are driving so what can photographers actually capture besides a grieving or distraught daughter and her husband..?

I dunno... If the thought of "our faces are now going to be plastered everywhere", I feel I would do what they did.
We never really know until it happens.
I'm not going to post it here so moo...but I always remember a last picture of Diana, Prin of Wales... hiding her face when getting into that fateful car... Why would she bother. I would say, "just because"

Lol so you basically call me, what, abnormal..? Because i have a different opinion or view than you have..? Great psychiatric nursing there 🤣
Also, you don't know me or what i have or have not been through so maybe stop YOUR judging for a bit 🤦🏼‍♀️
Sorry to butt in, but please agree to disagree and don't get into a fight, this thread is probably on thin ice as is already.

If an insider killed NG they may have moved the body from the home or killed her away from the home to try to make it seem like it was a stranger killing/abduction. JMO.
Ita.
Someone known to her with a long-simmering grievance, even if completely unjustified ?

From people who have spoken out, Nancy sounds like she was liked by friends at her church and by neighbors.
What if someone employed by her demanded a raise and Nancy wasn't the one who'd hired them (an adult child hired them), and the worker left in a huff and let it stew ?
I.e., An injustice collector.

Thinking out loud.
Imo.

That's true

Has LE come out to confirm or deny anything in Banfield's report? I saw some comments on her video from people saying that LE said that the SIL's vehicle was not impounded and that he is not a suspect.

  • #2,556
Exactly. In situations like this you're damned if you do and damned if you don't....jmo
Nailed it. "Oh that's not normal." Stop already, you don't know what is and isn't normal in this case. People react so differently to things and it does not necessarily admit guilt. People need to chill.

That's under the assumption he is ok with being recognized by NG. If this was a ransom scheme to stage abduction and leverage SG for money they wouldn't want NG knowing who her kidnappers were.

If it was something more sinister such as removing her from the home to murder her then yes your theory might be right.

I hate to say it but my first thought (before knowing exactly who the family member was) was that the person who dropped her off Saturday may have been responsible. I never heard that it was verified through anything but the family member reporting that she made into the house safely.

If they were responsible (speculation still at this point), I wonder the circumstances. I don’t feel that a disappearance/ransom was the original intent. My thought was there was a conversation or request for money that didn’t go the way that they had hoped. Anger ensued and the situation took an ugly turn. After that, things were staged to look like an abduction and cameras removed. jMO. I definitely feel something seems off with the circumstances. I mean why wait an hour to call police when the front door looked like it did. My immediate thought would be to call police as soon as I saw all that. I hate to speculate on family members but this case is such a one off, it doesn’t seem random.

Yes, a lot of posts about this in the last few pages of this thread.
