Curious what is keeping a media outlet from ponying up $50,000 as either an investment towards potential profit generated from ad revenue received simply from reporting that they took a small (for them) financial risk, or for the altruistic reasons of potentially returning a victim, in whatever condition, to their contemporary's family for closure (and, of course, the ad revenue that subsequent reporting on it would bring to the company because of their goodwill)?

Would it be a crime? I honestly don't know.

Depending on the person, yes. There are fathers who have murdered their wives and raised their children until they were arrested.
Yes..sadly this happened to a friend of mine,he saw it happen when he was four but didn't understand what he saw until he was about 7.

So the pacemaker does not have a unique signature. What if multiple people with pacemakers are playing bridge? How does the monitor handle that? What about assisted living facilities?
To the best of my knowledge, a pacemakers phone app installed on a phone belonging to Patient X is unique to the pacemaker implanted in Patient X and no one else. Four lucky people with pacemakers playing bridge cannot sap one another.

Agree, I really don’t think she passed from lack of meds, just sayin”, sorry to say. I think it was more of an abrupt end to her life, but Why?

Cold turkey, stopping Gabapentin can lead to seizures. Blood thinners, probably take a while to cause an issue. Pacemaker would still work if she is alive( small shock if heart needs it, to regulate ) just not recording data to phone ( left behind).

I don’t remember if she is diabetic? Lack of insulin can be fatal for some, in a few days…

She was on meds that were very common for an elderly in “good” health. IIRC, She did not need major drugs, ie for cancer.

Doctor’s daughter here, we talk health, meds, so general knowledge here only.

JMO
JMO she is probably on something like metoprolol, Eliquis… not taking either for the time she’s been missing is putting her at risk for an event…doesn’t mean one will happen. Which I why I’m hopeful she is still safe, but very sad that if she is she is likely terrified.

Going back the the images released by the FBI, the pants he has on appear to have integrated shoe covers!

Edit: The FBI needs to be prioritizing finding the guy in the TMZ Ring video!
I wonder if he’s wearing a Tyvek suit under the mask which is why he looks distorted/lumpy/bulky.

Pacemakers do not transmit 24/7. Each one is individually synched to a specific monitor. The pacemaker just sits there collecting data and applying tiny signals through the leads into the heart muscle to increase/decrease/steady the heartbeat. It isn't transmitting data in real time. On a schedule determined by the doctor the monitor will ask the pacemaker to send data via RF to the monitor (once a month, once a week, once a day, it varies). The monitor will then send the data to the monitoring company via WiFi. Nobody's pacemaker interferes with anyone else's. IMO

Just your regular afternoon TMZ report. 3rd email from the guy that wants the Bitcoin to rat out kidnapper.

This guy says that the FBI raising the reward was to discredit him.

He now wants $100,000. $50,000 in bitcoin & the other 1/2 real $. He promises not to withdraw that 1/2 until kidnapper is arrested.
Was it a Boy Scout Promise? If so, they should proceed.

I will decline to comment on Elon, but Bluetooth does not use IP, so no, a Bluetooth device does not have an IP address (there are some exceptions, but it's not a core part of Bluetooth). And Bluetooth is a completely different technology and set of protocols than Starlink uses, so I can't imagine any way this could work. MOO
My thought is that Elon has a different way of coming up with ways to bypass normal technology. JMO

Foxnews is reporting the mobile command unit in Tucson is on the move again. Sorry but I don't know how to link to a live cable broadcast.
I saw that!

I’ve seen posts hinting that the perp may have been obsessed with SG and that this was done to get her attention. If this was the act of obsession, it’s possible the perp saw NG on the NBC family special and became obsessed with NG herself.

Take off your glasses Jason. Let’s have a look at those eyes. Inserting yourself into the investigation? Kidding mostly.
This seems like an excellent example of "just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it".

If a family member killed their mother for money, do you think they could maintain innocence at family gatherings. That's one hell of a pokerface.
Its called being a sociopath.

that would seem to make it harder to do a pacemaker search in the proposed manner. but maybe there is still some "handshake" signal a phone etc. could send out that the pacemaker would respond to?

Yes they should proceed…to arrest his azz and let him make his additional demands from the slammer.

Amateur opinion and speculation

That's what I understood. I had to research today again, but at approx 2am on Sunday, NG pacemaker had a spike (or reaction). The doctor explaining it said it could mean she was struggling with someone, or it might just be her pacemaker set to send data. MSN

The Bluetooth on Nancys phone would connect to it if it was close enough
