Or the actual evil doer relaxes thinking LE is not looking at them and is surprised when they get arrested.I'm not so sure. I think that it can be beneficial to make a suspect nervous. That's how they make stupid mistakes and trip themselves up.

True or the emails could have been blocked by filters. Its possible they sent them to other outlets who never publicly shared that they received them
I did a quick google to see if cars are ever processed at the home. I don’t have a link, as this was an AI result. Screenshot attached.True, we’ve been seeing pictures of the family, but not the car.
It looks like it's more "aggragate" than journalism, when they share a post. Yes, locals like KTLA (I think that's where you got the stoy) do actual journalism on a local level, but they also aggragate and share news from all over. It can be confusing, but I see a lot of that. There's nothing the matter with aggragating, but.........Well what happened to journalistic integrity? I went to college for journalism and it was the rule. Disappointing
Correct. My post did not name a person.I believe no person of interest publicly…. Moo
Imo if AB is wrong on this and it turns out that the SIL (son in law) had nothing to do with it, I think "looking like a fraud" will be the least of AB's troubles. One thing is for sure Banfield has put her reputation on the line. She has recently launched her own podcast, leaving whatever network she was at. She's out on an island right now with info no one else has and she either will come out looking great or come out looking like a complete fraud.
My neighbors - both at what I’m guessing are similar distances from me as it appears NG’s are from her - they both know I have multiple cameras. Neither of them do. When something odd happens - a car pulling in their driveway at an odd hour or something - they both contact me to see if I can look on my video and get them any details. Here’s what they don’t understand. Since I live alone I like for my cameras to tell me when someone approaches my driveway or my house and they are all set to send a notice to my phone when someone comes in view. But I don’t want every vehicle driving down the road or little animal outside my yard at night to send me a notification. So I set the perimeters on my cameras to only come on when motion is detected in the boundary that i input. Yes, if it is recording something in that boundary it will also see whatever is going on in my neighbors yards and driveways at that time. But activity in their yards or driveways will not trigger it to record nor will traffic driving by. I suspect NG and her neighbors had similar settings on their cameras and unless motion in their preset boundaries triggered the cameras to record there would be no reason for them to be recording that night. I think that’s why we haven’t seen or heard of any helpful footage. It’s a little different when you live in town where houses are closer together and you can’t really limit your boundaries to your own property without also including at least some of your neighbors’ or the street or sidewalk.I’m surprised that we haven’t heard about a suspicious vehicle etc seen on neighbors security cameras etc. Seems like the type of neighborhood that would have plenty of cameras. I would have suspected to have heard about that within a few days. Perhaps authorities are still working on what vehicles seen on cameras have reasons to be in that area etc etc. I just really thought when the story first broke we’d have a make and model of vehicle very quickly. Not sure what to think at this point tbh. Only thing I can figure is that investigators know who owns the vehicles seen in the neighborhood and or have suspicion of someone close to the victim. moo
Oops i meant i don’t think they will make it public but i think they have one. Just my belief only. Sorry for confusing words!Correct. My post did not name a person.
Right. She might find herself facing major litigation for libel.Imo if AB is wrong on this and it turns out that the SIL (son in law) had nothing to do with it, I think "looking like a fraud" will be the least of AB's troubles.

Was a reason given why he thinks she's alive?
I agree that she did barely touch this and made it sound as if this was typical. But….the cover photo of her video blasts the supposed as the prime suspect. I was very surprised as she claimed that SG was a good friend she has known a long time. It made me really wonder about putting that info out there based on an undisclosed source. If you listen to her, she presents the information but she couches it as possibly completely false- she actually points to the Smarts' father as initially a person of interest but completely innocent. She also talks about "the last person to see the missing" as always the initial focus of investigators because well... what was the missing person's mood? what was she wearing? what did she say? etc. etc. So while she presents this info as a potentially big thing, she backtracks on it too. (Just thinking about this, suppose NG had a blister or a cut already in the car on the way home - would that make the blood drops not a sign of an attack? I personally doubt this but just tossing it out as how important what observations the last person or people to see a missing person could be.)
It's dark out there at night (very dark) and the homes are set back from the road with landscaping in front. If vehicles are on cameras footage and if the cameras are detailed enough, it may be possible to apply software and filters to enhance the footage enough to ID a particular make and model..IDK but to my way of thinking it would be more beneficial to use geofencing and see who was in the area the 2 weeks prior through to that Sunday morning. Everything we use from phones, cars, watches, etc leaves a digital footprint. It takes time to gather and analyze all that data.I’m surprised that we haven’t heard about a suspicious vehicle etc seen on neighbors security cameras etc. Seems like the type of neighborhood that would have plenty of cameras. I would have suspected to have heard about that within a few days. Perhaps authorities are still working on what vehicles seen on cameras have reasons to be in that area etc etc. I just really thought when the story first broke we’d have a make and model of vehicle very quickly. and not a good thought at all...There's been some speculation here that NG will be found close to her home.
Unfortunately, I think that's a correct assumption.
JMVHO.
This. This right here. It's bad enough to deal with the horror of the situation but to have the media swarm in like vultures and trying to get pictures and break a story is just...disgusting to me. Having the media film your most vulnerable moments and not respect privacy isn't a good look for them.
