Given the apparent super close relationship between SG and AB, one does have to wonder.

On one hand, if AB is wrong... both her career and her close relationship with SG are so damaged.
And on that one hand---I really do dread for AB here.
And hope of all hope that no close family IS connected.

SG is a lawyer, and both AB and SG have strong journalistic background. They know how long this type of case, when/if they do end up with a prime suspect to be charged--a case like this can drag on and on and on in the courts.

What IF there is such evidence to have a prime suspect.... would family want to wait to "see you in court" or would they want to force a hand more quickly, before one prime suspect is totally lawyered up.

I dunno of course. And all Moo...
But I just cannot come up with anything else that would let AB jeapordize all.....

She's 84, described as not being able to walk far, although mentally alert. If she was struck/hit by someone, chances are she also fell. She could have been removed unconscious. No idea how to account for cameras. Wonder if they were previously working.

There was a reporter in Tucson on CNN yesterday afternoon who showed a video he took of him driving and walking all around NG’s neighborhood at night to give viewers an idea of the area.

When he turned off his flashlight was so dark, pitch black, that you wouldn’t be able to see your hand put up in front of your face.

I'm also in AZ, but not Tucson, and in a neighborhood very similar to NG's, except ours is gated.

We have 8 cameras outdoors as of a month ago due to an issue in December (we added 4 after that)

Only 2 don't face 6 toward the street, and we are not set quite as far back as NG.

Our cameras are great, several as close as we can get them to the street while still connecting to our wifi so even if the camera(s) were taken we'd have the footage in the process.

Even with that, we can see general vehicular body type, but very little else, even with good cameras, pretty close to the street, and with multiple angles. You can tell light/dark color, but nothing else. It was better when some homes had Christmas lights up, since that provided some ambient light to see more vehicle details as they headed down the street.

And despite all the angles, we have zero way to get plates on a car that are legible (not even to tell the state), and we're on a curve, so we actually have the ability to cover more directions of the road even.

We're now going to have to get a night specific camera with better color detection apparently.

So all that to say, I can definitely imagine there being very little useful camera footage in Nancy's neighborhood, at least from most private home cameras - and certainly not from doorbell cameras!

Well, ANYONE "MAY BE" a person of interest, but if LE has no evidence then they have no one to charge. I'm curious about, if it is true that the brother has arrived in AZ and is actually staying w his sister and husband, wouldn't that be a bit uncomfortable given the AB suggestions about the husband? What gives? jmo

Its very complicated if the SIL did this- he drops her off, then comes home, then goes back out for an extended period of time undetected. Or, they are both involved and lying. By now the FBI would know if there were holes in this story.

We would be seeing a different posture.

Yeah. I'm definitely not saying it's impossible, and that this doesn't wind up being the case, but it's weird to me if that timeline is accurate.

Like you could see some spontaneous thing, but you'd expect that hours earlier. Going back after a cooling off period (if there was some conflict), and then doing it this way, is super weird.

This just looks really sloppy to me, with alleged forced entry, and then blood inside and outside the house. I imagine they would have downloaded both of their phones early on, and that would paint a clear picture of their movements that night, and any issues.

I'd expect these two to be the first people interviewed, and the first people seriously looked at. All the noise is coming from one source, and it very well could be overblown.

Time will tell I guess.

It seems like whoever did this knows a lot about NG and her house. The perpetrator(s) apparently must have known that her cameras were not backed up to the cloud (which at this point I assume is the case, otherwise the police would have uncovered all the footage by now). The perpetrator(s) also must have known the locations of all the cameras. I wish we knew definitively whether she has a dog, because if it was a stranger, the dog might have been aggressive (versus someone that the animal was familiar with). I have a hard time believing someone carried her out of the house. I feel like she went against her will, forcibly perhaps, but alive. I also wish we knew whether the blood by the front door belongs to her or someone else. And seeing the photos of the blood makes it more difficult for me to understand the amount of time that elapsed before calling 911. Hoping for more updates soon.

Even if her cameras were not recording, wouldn’t they be able to tell what time they were disconnected from the server?

I don’t have nest cameras but if hers are like mine all I could tell was the last event it triggered. It’s possible they could look at something about her wifi activity that might tell them when something disconnected but unlikely to get that info from the camera or footage unless it was disconnected during a triggering event. Now I could not smash or remove one without a triggering event but can’t say that it can’t be done.

That's true. But as others here have noted, it's possible that she normally drove herself to church because that was during the day, but avoided driving at night.

parade.com just posted the idea of a tresspasser. Apparently, in January a neighbor, a few minutes away, reported such when a floodlight came on. BUT, there's no evidence of a tresspasser vehicle involved in either the January case or the NG case. Don't think a tresspasser carried NG away.

Could the video of son in law as a suspect by AB be a decoy so the real perp doesn't harm NG if she is still alive .

If perp knows heat is on he may kill her and escape if he hasn't already killed her .

Any empty properties in the area People in hospital or vacation or recently passed away ? The perp would need a place that was easy to access and without much travelling to . If ransom is genuine

The sheriff shouldn't have said that, but he was still almost certainly right. She'd have been sleeping based on the timeline (pacemaker), and was very likely attacked in her bedroom (I think there's probably blood there).

Police never said he was a suspect in the first place.
