I don't believe that the SIL is a suspect imo and here's why.

This investigation has not been labeled as a murder investigation. Investigation timelines like the Idaho murders are completely different because police had victims DOA. Getting radio silence from the police is normal for a murder to build a case for a suspect.

When dealing with abduction your number one priority is to recover the victim ALIVE. This gives you enough leeway to detain and interrogate anyone you may think has whereabouts of the victim since they are in immediate danger. If LE seriously thought the sister and her husband knew where NG was they wouldn't be seen driving around today.

This makes me wonder if they verified details of the ransom. Hence why the sheriff stated he believes she is still alive in his recent interview.

Unless LE believe NG is no longer alive and have yet to announce it to the public.

This is why I thought it was weird they turned over the house so soon.

It’s very common for law enforcement to return to a scene like this after gathering more information (lab results, tips, etc).

Assuming of course they plan to enter the house.
What do you make of that?

The picture of the blood splattering and drops bother me; and, what appears to be a couple of stems of flowers. I would pick flowers along my walkway into my home even if it’s just a few.

It’s almost as if she was hit/pushed entering the home, stretched her arms out to brace for the fall and left the flowers. While trying to stand the blood droplets began appearing.

I tried imagining it as if she was exiting the home, but the position of the flower stems does not make sense, nor does the blood splatter.

Is this type of flower along the pathway into her home?

IIRC the sheriff stated at the PC yesterday that they were still waiting for the company to send them the footage. Hopefully by now they've been able to review the footage, although whether LE discloses their findings might depend on the stage their investigation is in.
Presumably, if the video footage showed the perpetrator(s), the case would essentially be solved and there would be an arrest already. Although since NG hasn't been located and could possibly be alive, I suppose there could be reasons to sit on the information for a short time. Unfortunately, I fear that the longer this goes on, the less likely there will be a favorable outcome.

As far as the location of the blood, I've thought that perhaps if there are two doors there, inner and outer, the abductor was holding on to her while they shut the door, inner, behind them. The blood drops are SO close to the door it appeared 'not right' for someone to be standing right 'on top' of the door . IMO

AB sure got some views with that 'bombshell' from an 'impeccable source'.... as other's have said, if it's true, what a scoop for her new platform. I've always liked her, never thought of her as a reckless journalist. 🤷‍♀️

I lived in Tucson for years and have children that live there now, so I'm confused by the mentions of being rural and unpopulated.

Catalina Foothills is a suburb of the Tucson metropolitan area. I wouldn't consider it unpopulated, it's merely an upscale neighborhood at the base of the mountains with large desert lots, larger homes, and suburban. It's close to trails, resorts, golf, etc.

It's merely 7 miles from the University of Arizona which has 50,000 students.
Yes, I thought someone might not think "unpopulated" is accurate. Just aren't a lot of homes in that neighborhood per the videos. Homes on 1 acre or larger plots it seem. Very spread out.

I'm sorry, you don't just get a pass if you are her and you come out with this info and it ends up being completely wrong. Journalistic integrity and accountability have to mean something. No one else has come out with similar info, why is that?
Banfield claimed she has two sources: two detectives on the case. If she made it up, that's on her. If the detectives intentionally gave her false or misleading info, that's on them
