Oh
I noticed too he dives down towards his left originally seemingly in attempt to grab the flowers only to realize there are no pots there. But he doesn’t dive or glance towards his right at all. I wonder if NG ever kept her potted plants there before and if so, if that indicates the perp has definitely been there before and has even gone up to and walked through NG’s door? JMO
I do wonder though why he didn’t seem concerned or anxious about the possibility of the Nest camera alerting and waking NG as it informed her that there was someone at the door. Or of the prospect of it alerting her children in the likelihood she shared access to her account with them as well? Even if he thought NG and AG were asleep that late at night, how sure was he it wouldn’t wake them up? I know mine does as I find the sound of my own system’s alert perpetually annoying and loud. And as for SG, she is in NY. The entire state, not just the city, doesn’t sleep. What info did he have that he wasn’t worried about this risk or let it stop him from continuing to carry out his horrific crime?

Oh interesting I had the opposite impression and thought the reason that he walked up to the door with his head down but hand up and curled was because he knew he was walking towards a Nest doorbell camera even if he couldn’t see or tell the exact spot at first. I am not sure why he didn’t come prepared beforehand with a scarf or something to block the camera but he did make sure to bring a flashlight and screw to remove and thus disconnect the camera. He does so pretty fast too though considering IMO he may have poor or strained night vision or it is just that dark. Perhaps he may not have had conducted a kidnapping before but has experience committing crimes related to breaking and entering and the disabling of security systems and such. The original questions are about the guy on the video cam on the front porch.
-Why does he look so nonchalant as he is about to commit a very serious crime which could result in the death penalty or life in prison?
-Why does he show his face to the camera?
-Why does he act like he didn't know the camera was operative?
-Why is he ill prepared to disable the camera?
Possibilities:
He could be young, naive, foolish. Using drugs. Impaired judgement
Maybe he isn't the one committing the major crime. He is just at the front door to help get victim to the car.
Maybe someone else came the back door, grabbed the victim, brought her to front door.
Perhaps that person told front door man all cameras had been disabled.
Perhaps they thought if they killed the wifi the cameras would be disabled.
This was just staging, pretending there was a kidnapping to cover up a murder. Play acting.
It was all spur of the moment, no time to plan ahead.
