A Republic reporter saw the card on Feb. 3 while taking photographs at the front door. A reporter called the phone number listed. An agent said the card was left after Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, not before.

If the agency who left the card confirms that they left it after Nancy’s disappearance, that should be definitive. You can speculate about why the call was made, but at least we know it wasn’t prior to the abduction.

Yeah a universal cheapo vinyl holster profiled for a 6" large frame revolver hanging low off a belt loop in some goofy approximation of appendix carry with a late gen small frame semi auto tucked in is not the way to go if your life depended on it, or if you just don't want your gun falling out w/ any real movement. You also see them in $5 dollar bins at gun stores or yard sales.

But what's also strange is having a list of 40 guys and checking gun shops. AZ is a constitutional carry state that allows face to face cash private sales with no paperwork for handguns. It is also legal to borrow a gun. I highly doubt this guy went to his LGS and filled out a 4473 to buy the gun. But given the footage we saw on the Nest cam maybe Mr. Walmart Ninja did.

I suppose it doesn't matter how they narrow down the list of possible suspects but I am taken aback that they have 40 people on a list of possible suspects. Plus, it seems kind of dumb to buy the gun you intend to use in a crime from a gun store. MOOooo

Still can’t get past he used the FRONT DOOR to enter…when there is an accessible back yard. It’s like he wanted to be seen. Did I miss a post on the back not being accessible?

I think this is key, too. He's making a scene to be seen. Lantana Man is not putting much effort into getting in to the house or to quickly take out the camera.

As everyone knows by now, I have felt from the beginning this was a kidnapper who had a delusional fascination with SG. She is his fantasy girlfriend .He is a marginalized, socially inadequate, man who has a poetic soul and finds his meaning in life through movies and TV. He is fixated on SG. Probably has an area in his home, like an altar, that has her photo, articles about her etc. He thinks when she is on the TODAY show that every word she speaks is CODE, directed at him. He became restless and decided he must have her but he can't. He went for her mom, instead. NOW HE HAS SG's attention. He also has a trophy..SG's mom. He may also have other trophies he took from the home, family photos, or lingerie from SG's old bedroom, for example.

MOTIVE will solve this case, imo. Obsessed stalker. Someone knows him and his devotion to SG. Watching the Today show daily, saving every program she is on, perhaps mentioning her during casual conversations once too often. This is not a 2 perp crime. This guy acted alone. MOO JMO

That would be terrible but it's certainly a possibility that they intended to steal the gems.

And it could explain why they were at NG's house for 41 minutes-- maybe asking her where the gems were and not understanding when she said there were no gems. And she may have pleaded with them that her daughter would pay them, so they took her. Again, just me speculating.

I think there is maybe something to the next door neighbor being a prominent gemologist who was showing rare gems and minerals at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show that was going on at the time all of this happened. I think that's where the "burglary gone wrong" narrative came from-- they are probably wondering if the real target was the neighbor (same neighbor where police were examining the ring flood lights yesterday) and the suspect went to the wrong house.

There were also some thieves at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show that one of the vendors got on video stealing some of her gems and is asking the public if they can identify. You can't see their faces here so I hope it is okay to post... the gait of the man in white looks very similar to the guy on the porch. This is just my opinion, of course, as I have no more info than anyone else here.

Which sample, anyone know? Hopefully, the one inside of the bedroom. The glove found 2 miles away seems unlikely to be associated, but ok to test that sample, too.

Along these lines, I would image wearing all of that gear would be pretty hot, especially if it was kept on for the entirety of the incident. I would imagine the person inside the gear would be sweaty and eager to remove layers once away from the scene. Even if the outside air was in the 50's that night, surely NG doesn't keep the inside of her home a that temp. Coupled with the adrenaline of what they were doing. If such care was taken to be nearly fully enclosed in that clothing, I doubt that they would have removed it inside the home, immediately outside the home or just carelessly thrown some of it outside the window of a car off the highway.

People who live in Arizona seem to dress very warm in those temps. I'm one of them. If it gets to 60 I take a winter coat with me in the evening. I've seen roofers/landscape workers in the hottest Arizona temps wearing heavy clothing and neck balaclavas.

This is certainly a theory but it is kind of out there... SG was just in Tucson for Christmas and I doubt she travels with security in her off time so it would have just been her and her kids and husband. The Today Show and NBC also keep track of stalkers who send letters, post on on-air talent's social media, etc. So they would have an idea of who this was... and they would have known a long time ago. I don't see someone who was this obsessed being able to refrain himself from being all over her social media for a long time prior.

It's hard to tell if it's camouflage or blood IMO. The style of the jacket doesn't seem to lend itself to camouflage. But obviously I could be wrong.

If they still have the RR, and they have possible DNA from inside the house, can they not test the two to see if they match?
