Why wait till Monday to kill her? That makes me think that Thursday isn't a hard line in the sand for the kidnappers and that if they don't have what they want by then, out comes Plan B. Cuz Monday is 3+ days away from their deadline. And don't forget, "We want our Bitcoin by Thursday or we'll kill her on Monday."
Said no kidnapper ever.
That is a very good point. The ransom note became news just after the last "nothing burger" presser.Third possibility (all MOO) -- LE received a ransom letter before the media did but held that information back.... which impelled the captor to alert the media, having no way to know whether LE received their initial ransom letter.
Perhaps a captor thought the ransom would be immediate and resolved within 48 hours...

Livestream participants can see the names or photos of the other participants. If she had not logged on to the livestream her name and/or photo would be missing.
Agree, has the feeling of a misdirection by the perp(s). JMO.If reports are true, it sounds like details were mentioned in the letter that were never made public. So I’m thinking the perp(s) did send it.
However I do agree that it was probably an afterthought and sadly NG may have been killed on Sunday. Really really hope I’m wrong though.

We technically don't know when the first letter/email was received.Ransom demand(s) also appear not to have come in until the case had been well and widely published all over the media.
AND apparently after the Sheriff said she'd been "abducted" and "taken from her bed," but not literally.
Looks very opportunistic on its face.

Do we know for sure there was a delay in the ransom demand? We know when it was received by media, but do we know when the family first heard of the demand? By the way SG said, “we are ready to talk…” I wondered if immediate or early day ransom demands were dismissed (or at least considered as likely) hoaxes. Here's why I'm skeptical the ransom note is real:
You've got this sloppy crime, with forced entry and blood.
Then you've got this seemingly well planned ransom demand, with a Bitcoin account already set up.
Those two things don't seem to jibe.
You've also got this delay in making the demand, and zero proof of life.
So either this ransom demand is real and was an afterthought, or it's being made by a different person altogether.
I believe randsom notes are all fake. Plus, if someone had victim alive and held against her will, my guess is there would be some sort of proof victim alive. There's nothing. Last family members to see her need to be questioned again and again as I think they hold valuable info as to what may have happened.Third possibility (all MOO) -- LE received a ransom letter before the media did but held that information back.... which impelled the captor to alert the media, having no way to know whether LE received their initial ransom letter.

Does anyone have a transcript of the recent video from the kids?
For sure. I think he was keeping his emotions completely reigned in throughout.Or he's trained to check his emotions and keep them under control. JMO
We know of three outlets that received them, and I can't imagine all of them missed them. I guess it's possible, but I'm not buying it.Do we know for sure there was a delay in the ransom demand? Not likely the case here in my opinionI think kidnappings of foreigners for ransom is pretty common in Mexico. Tuscon is pretty close to the Mexican boarder.
I definitely agree they wouldn’t waste FBI’s time if the letter didn’t mention things that were true that MSM never reported on. FBI doesn’t play games.Fair enough. I don't feel they would've permitted the video to be released if much of the ransom demand's details were incorrect. I also don't think they would've managed it via a FBI negotiation team, which it appears they almost certainly did here. But I've been wrong with my assumptions before, so I respect that your position could be the correct one.
Something that would definitively sway me to your position is that SG can afford a team of advisors/investigators of her own, and they may be navigating this situation independently of the official investigation. Just so they can make sure they don't miss a chance to save her if it is legitimate. Understandable, of course, but I sure hope they wouldn't do something like that without advice/consent of LE.
JMO.
Still thinking different person altogether. Maybe I’m thinking that if it were really true they kidnapped her, they would put NG on the video instead. Sadly, i’m staying with my belief that she is no longer alive on Earth and that this was done as a retaliation of some sort by family/ex family, hired help…. It also explains the stoic demeanor in my opinion‘Savannah Guthrie’s brother Colonel Charles “Camron” Guthrie, call sign "Arlo"), is a retired U.S. Air Force/Air National Guard F-16 pilot. He served for 26 years, including three tours in Iraq, and was part of the unit that provided air defense over NYC on 9/11. He retired from the Vermont Air National Guard in 2018.’
It's about an hour from the border. There isn't a lot of spillover crime all the way up here; there's also often a border patrol presence along interstate 19 (even heavier recently), the highway between Tucson and Nogales. Why would someone come from Mexico to kidnap this particular woman?I think kidnappings of foreigners for ransom is pretty common in Mexico. Tuscon is pretty close to the Mexican boarder.
