It is my understanding that it has been said that the 40 pics of people were from 40 different people that purchased the holster recently at local stores.
Agreed! Brian Entin is definitely the most reliable source to go by, judging by every case I have followed that he has been involved with! Truly a caring, genuine person, IMO!Which is why he isn't a trusted source like Brian Entin is.
this is what has swung me back to thinking it could be some deranged SG stalker. but i don't know.Did you already discuss the book that SG released in feb24 where she talks about a kidnapping game her aunt used to play with her and her sister?
didn't they just say they weren't gonna announce these anymore?
They just can't stop themselves.didn't they just say they weren't gonna announce these anymore?
It's dated February 13, 2026.So this was posted to TMZ about 25 mins ago.. although the link itself alludes to the third letter so I'm not sure what to think?! TMZ Receives Third Email in Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping, Demanding Higher Reward

It's odd that if he appears in Jan 11 surveillance footage, it makes him seem more like an habitual prowler/robber in the area than someone specifically targeting NG on February 1.
They sure did.didn't they just say they weren't gonna announce these anymore?
Unless, of course, my obsessed, love sick stalker is the true perp! He would have read that book! Kidnapping NG would be part of playing the game SG and her sister and friends played on the mom, in reverse..JMOYeah, that was discussed here in the first few days/first week of the case IIRC, when talk of the book was first going round online. Personally, I think it’s completely unrelated to NG’s disappearance.

If you mean the bearded gun shop guy in the video interview, he doesn’t say 40 names, he says three sheets with six to eight names and photos on each, so somewhere between 18 and 24.@Mistermagoo Yes, I watched that video. That's not a source on 40 people being tracked by holster purchases. The LGS owner simply said they came with a three page list of approx. 40 names and asked him to check them against gun purchases from the past year. And it does not mean 40 suspects as Nanos clarified the other day. Many speculated only a few names are actually relevant POIs, and the rest are random baselines as with a suspect pool line-up.
There is no source for the list being based on holster purchases, which how would they know since there are many holsters exactly like that sold online and in thrift shops for decades. The Walmart holster is just a guess and we don't know if they traced those purchases, that's what I was asking a source for. What they are asking the gun store owner was to see if the suspect pool list purchased a gun, which is a long-shot. Back-tracing an indistinguishable common revolver holster that's been around and sold for decades will be much harder and they simply do not know if that was the Walmart brand some speculated (like I said I posted the same exact holster sold by another brand online at the popular MidwayUSA).
That's because I've obviously posted the wrong linkIt's dated February 13, 2026.
Lordy. This is bordering on the ridiculous now.didn't they just say they weren't gonna announce these anymore?
Additionally, we have no idea it it's a real gun.
I've been using, collecting, working with, and shooting firearms for over 30 years and I can't tell from the dark, blurry footage what handle and profile that is (most assume small frame semi auto). Many gun guys speculating on gun forums, including professionals are also in disagreement.
Since there was no known discharge at the scene or even brandishing of the said gun on video footage it is just as possible that it is not a live firearm, that it is a replica or airsoft, etc.. This would jive with the masked man seemingly using it for intimidation and coercion with his front and center strange version of appendix carry as he approached the front door. It would also jive with the entire cheap get-up, where it seemed like he threw together what he could get easily.
It would also jive to me why he did not seem suited to actually use the firearm if he had to (defending homeowner, security guard that spotted him) based on it almost falling out of the mismatched holster, and the notion that he couldn't even draw effectively or put his finger in the trigger guard with his clumsy PPE gloves. And if he knew the target was an elderly lady living alone in a secluded neighborhood he would not be worried about resistance that would require the use of an actual firearm.
So many unknowns and assumptions still in this case.
Maybe they are writing them to themselves, lol. jmodidn't they just say they weren't gonna announce these anymore?
Brian Entin is a graduate of the University of Missouri J-School. That's pretty good.Which is why he isn't a trusted source like Brian Entin is.
