Understand the frustration; however isn't it the job of law enforcement to determine what is or is not a viable tip....?

Yeah maybe some better communication with the public would have assisted with the narrowing down on what's 'viable'. 😬

This was all staged, why on earth would someone want to go in the front door, I think that they deliberately let themselves be on camera to make us think it was some psycho, probably paid for his acting by the real culprit. They could have gone in the back, and why carry someone out of the front door when you can take them out of the garage door and put them straight into the car.
My theory has been that originally the perpetrator did enter through a back door and that he had a driver waiting for him in the near vicinity. I believe a confrontation happened inside the home and that Nancy was unconscious and seriously hurt. An unconscious or deceased person is very heavy to carry. They decided to take her out the front door to avoid carrying her all around from the back of the house. This is when it became necessary to remove the Nest camera from the front.
There is a u-shaped driveway from the street that goes up to the front door and comes out the other side to the street. If you use this driveway you can drive in quickly, carry her down the steps, into the vehicle, and drive right out. If you use the garage to take her away, you have to pull in to the right side of the house up to the garage and back out or make a u turn which would take much more time.

For sure! It was reported by Sheriff that 18,000 (FBI) + 14,000 (State) tips came in within a couple of days after the perp video was released. So many more since then I'm sure. They don't have the human resources to process that volume, and if people are just calling with theories instead of facts, what a nightmare that must be. I'm sure they're trying their best though.
MOO
And it also doesn't help that the Masked Guy was described as being a male of average build and 5'9'' to 5'10" - countless men fit that description. MOO

This case has me stumped on so many levels. Is this guy really that good or just lucky? Could someone with no criminal experience pull off this kind of crime or has he simply not been convicted in the U.S.? (Hence no CODIS hit). Multiple perpetrators? Lone wolf? What kind of person has the brains to do the crypto/undetectable ransom notes and the cruelty to hurt Nancy? Since there apparently isn't any footage of Nancy being taken out of her general area, should they be looking closer to home?

And lastly, if the genealogy comes up empty, how do they solve this thing? The reward hasn't worked. Appealing to the kidnappers' conscience hasn't worked. It feels like they're running out of options.

This case is making my brain hurt. JMO.
Or do they not have the right DNA? I noticed they started talking about accomplices a few days ago. I think there were two but I have a feeling they left very little behind.

I think they have him but they need more evidence.

If the kidnappers did already get a (private) payout and they still haven't returned Nancy, that's really depressing. Granted, this whole event is terrible.
I've wondered whether the family has paid a ransom in private. If so, it's no wonder that SG looked and sounded so defeated in her latest video. I really hope that this case is solved, and doesn't go cold.

Did the FBI release the Range Rover back to its owner? Do we know?

They are probably looking at nearly 30,000 tips between PCSD and the FBI combined at this point.
That is got to be such a huge task that is very hard to organize. It probably would be easier for LE and the FBI to get together and and start agreeing on what evidence and information they no longer need to keep under their belt. Maybe, just maybe it will deter people from calling in every little thing. They need to start pulling on the same rope. Right now LE says one thing is true, the Feds deny it. Feds say this is true and LE denies it. I am not bashing here. Unless they are doing it on purpose they need to have better organization on what goes out to the public if they need our help, which apparently they do.

Daily Mail and other sharks continue to circle...

Savannah Guthrie may never return to the Today Show as she continues to grapple with her mother's disappearance, insiders say.

The 54-year-old has been off air since Nancy Guthrie's disappearance on February 1 and insiders told Status News that they believe the move will be made permanent.

'There’s no way Savannah’s coming back,' an executive told the outlet. 'I can’t imagine she would even want to.'
If she was already back broadcasting, she would be criticized as cold and unfeeling IMO.

if you recall, a tip that was actually crucial in the Abie and Libby case, was misfiled and it took some one years later reviewing, to find it... https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/28/us/d...years after two,it was rediscovered by chance.
so they better not throw anything out.... IMO

Nineteen days since her mother was abducted. That's less time than family leave for childbirth. But yep, they want some other upbeat person to fill her seat and keep those ratings going. JMO/MOO

Naa. Open the garage, back into the garage, close the door, load the body (maybe even into her own car) where there's zero risk of anyone seeing you do so, open the garage and speed off.

I see your logic, but I think the garage would have made more sense. Unless, like you implied, they would have to have drug a body through the house.

I'm interested in the bite light/mouth flashlight, the presumed kidnapper in the video, had in his mouth. Are they all that common? I have been looking around out of curiosity and can't seem to find anything like that--not on Amazon or Walmart. Interesting that he chose something like that and not one of those flashlights that fit onto your head.

A bite light leaves both hands free to disable security cameras...

Someone on this thread listed a lot of occupations that use them. Mechanic was on the list...

Brian said, as of yesterday, they haven't. Still processing it.

They discuss at around 29 mins. But not sure if there have been updates or if it's been released today.
If they still have it, that's very telling

Gotta love corporate business. Go to work, and "Be Happy". How could anyone be expected to be "upbeat and cheerful"?

So sorry for Savannah. And her family. This is so traumatic, no answers. And so many questions.

I just watched a portion of a YouTube video about Dan Brokaw praising Savannah Guthrie. I didn't watch all of it, but I don't think it had anything to do with her mom's abduction. What I found interesting is that he said SG has the mind of a prosecutor but can change gears when needed and talk about air fryers. I thought the part about the "mind of a prosecutor" was interesting and I'm sure she is putting all those thinking skills to work during this horrible situation.

Everyone was so focused on the glove while there's an entire vehicle being processed. SMH. MOO.
