As far as i read the FBI lab does definitely possess the ability to work with SNP.
It would be very strange if they didn't, if you think about it.
SNP is usually used where it contains very small parts of a DNA sample as i understand.
Quantico is one of the most highly regarded labs in the world, isn't it?
Then why wouldn't they have this ability?

A DNA profile for the unknown sample could be generated and then used to identify a relationship to known DNA profiles.
