I think what struck me as heartbreaking in this video was the stain on her shirt. I can't even think of a time I've ever seen her so raw and out of sorts. I hope this reward brings her mom home and puts an end to this nightmare.

I’m sure most of us know that there is no such thing as a safe area anymore.

I know when I bought my house, the former owners had lived there for seven years and never once locked their doors. So they had to have a locksmith come out to make keys for me, because they had misplaced the keys seven years before when they bought it.

They said it was such a safe area they knew there was no crime there so they never even considered locking their doors.

Wow. I've been a homeowner for over 40 years and always lock my doors.
And I have lived in "safe" areas. You never know.

GOOD GOD that overpronation is AWFUL! This person either has flat feet, weak/stiff ankles, or is bowlegged. Horrible gait. All their shoes would have a very predictable wear pattern at least .. Any investigation of a suspect that likes to jog can be dropped... This individual would be icing their shins for weeks!

The way everyone worded their statements about that information sounded to me like someone within LE feels much like we do. That a lot of helpful information has been held back, while a lot of conflicting information has really muddled things up.

IF they have another video/photo of the perp...we would see it. I do not believe that type of evidence is being withheld. Wording doesnt bother me. I think they have nothing but a hope and a prayer. some nebulous DNA and some videos. Now, it's the arduous task of wading through tips. jmo

Thinking about SG’s video directing tips to only the FBI.

For jurisdiction purposes, if ransom notes have been determined to be legit and connected to NG - does ransom for kidnapping fall under the feds? Or still PCSD?

This is my own opinion concerning jurisdiction involving ransom demands even though I'm not an attorney or an LE officer in any capacity.

I would say that a ransom note for kidnapping would be under federal jurisdiction when a ransom demand is made by email, text messaging, social media chats, cell phone, landline phone, or a letter mailed by postal mail.

Also if there is a demand for the ransom to be paid in a bitcoin account or in some kind of a financial account whether domestic or foreign would fall under federal jurisdiction.

There's not always the Perps DNA left at crime scenes and that doesn't always indicate it was the work of some criminal mastermind.

True, but probabilities suggest that he isn't just surviving on dumb luck here. And this crime likely isn't his first one either, since these kinds of perpetrators (complex, planning, violent types) - even serial killers - start lower and gain wisdom and experience as they "perfect" their MO.

I'm sorry i like Cece Moore alot but if she said that she might be mistaken.
As far as i read the FBI lab does definitely possess the ability to work with SNP.
It would be very strange if they didn't, if you think about it.
SNP is usually used where it contains very small parts of a DNA sample as i understand.
Quantico is one of the most highly regarded labs in the world, isn't it?
Then why wouldn't they have this ability?

We were given permission to discuss LD since he was a POI, taken into custody, and he and his lawyer issued statements publicly - if I remember correctly.

I’ve thought of this as well.

Others are certain bc of the perps movement etc he was unfamiliar with the home. I’m not sure i can make that definitive assumption.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he thought the nest wouldn’t pick him up in the dark with his dark clothing, until after he was close enough to have the lense already blocked.

When he walks up on the porch the light around the button on the nest illuminated and may have startled him. Hence why he grabbed the plant.

I think his intention was to remove the nest so as not to record later activities. moo

Probably already mentioned here but wondering if the front porch guy was simply a distraction? Could his outfit and actions have been intended to distract Nancy in case she got an alert and/or noticed activity at her door and thus allowed a second person to make entry into the home through another point of entry without meeting resistance?

Although they may have assumed that an 84 y/o woman with some physical limitations may not be hard to overpower, perhaps they weren’t completely confident that she may not try to defend herself (knife, gun or anything she could grab a hold of) as they attempted to make entry into her home. Even if they were confident that she wouldn’t ultimately able to fend off an attack, could they have been concerned that any such struggle could result in either their disguise(s) becoming dislodged so they may be seen on camera and/or accidentally left at the scene or possibly their DNA being left at the scene?

If she were alerted to activity at the front porch would she have been more likely to go towards the front door to check it out or would she have immediately called 911? I would think if she SAW porch guy on camera she would immediately called 911, but if she got an alert and didn’t have a subscription that would allow her to look back at the footage and she porch guy, could she have thought a neighbor may be in need or something similar? This may have allowed a 2nd person to gain entry and overpower her more easily and with less risk of leaving DNA or other evidence.

He could be the guy that cleans the operating rooms..for all we know. If he is the son of doctors as some here have speculated, he knows about double gloving. Mu guess is he is loosely or perhaps more directly involved with infection control, understands DNA and bacterial transfer and is not necessarily a direct care giver although he might be. JMO

To be clear--I don't think his dad was a medical doctor. He had his Phd. in Clinical Psychology.
But I think some have reported his mom has the medical background.

Also, I've seen it speculated here that LD was driving the RR - and again, I don't think LE has ever said who was driving the RR at Culver's

My pure speculation is that it was LD and his mom at the house, and possibly ZZJ in the RR

People sure can make alot of details out of that fairly short clip.

I just see normal unassuming movement. Methodical almost nonchalant.

Body characteristics with layers of clothes, full or bulky looking backpack, full face mask. He just appears to be average Joe anyone to me.

I feel like you could dress alot of average middle age men in that same full outfit and replicate very similar videos.

Likely one of the reasons he hasn't been positively identified yet, just my untrained opinion
